Built around Battlefield 6’s fast and tactical REDSEC mode, the new circuit aims to give both top competitors and everyday squads a clear path to high-level play. Whether you’ve been waiting for Battlefield to take esports seriously or you just want to put your squad skills to the test, this is the biggest competitive move the franchise has ever made.
What Is the REDSEC Elite Series?
The Elite Series is Battlefield’s new weekly top-tier competition, running online from December 10 to January 18 across the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions. EA is inviting 50 team captains per region to assemble their dream squads of four, creating a 600 player pool made up of some of the strongest Battlefield and FPS talent in the world.
Each match day features a set of six REDSEC Battle Royale games, followed by a high pressure Gauntlet showdown for the top eight squads. Teams earn Elite Series Points across three Qualifying Match Days, with the top 25 advancing to the Season Finals on December 18.
To keep the action competitive and fair, all captains have been pre-vetted, every match runs on high performance servers, and the entire circuit is protected with Javelin anti-cheat. Fans can tune into competitor streams for the qualifying stages, while Battlefield Studios will host the regional finals broadcast.
Elite Series Prize Pool
Season 1 features more than $1M USD spread across all regions.
- Americas: $50,000 USD per Qualifying Match Day, plus a massive $500,000 USD Finals pool
- EMEA + APAC: $20,000 USD per Qualifying Match Day and a $285,000 USD Finals pool
Twitch Drops will also be enabled throughout the season, giving players more reasons to watch.
Elite Series Schedule
- Match Day 1, Tuesday, December 10
- Match Day 2, Wednesday, December 11
- Match Day 3, Tuesday, December 16
- Season Finals, Thursday, December 18
Exact start times will be revealed closer to the event.
The REDSEC Open Series Opens the Door to Everyone
Competitive Battlefield isn’t just for the pros. The new Open Series gives every squad in the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions the chance to qualify for elite play.
Players can sign up through Repeat.gg, where they’ll receive tournament codes for each match day. Rankings are based on a squad’s ten best Battle Royale matches and ten best Gauntlet matches across all three days. The top 250 squads in each region will qualify for the Season Finals on January 17, and the top eight from those finals will earn a place in the next Elite Series season.
Open Series Prize Pool
Each region features a $10,000 USD prize pool for the Season Finals, totalling $30,000 USD across all regions.
Open Series Schedule
- Match Day 1, Friday, December 12
- Match Day 2, Friday, December 19
- Match Day 3, Friday, January 9
- Season Finals, Saturday, January 17
Why This Matters for Battlefield’s Future
Battlefield has always been known for big maps and chaotic firefights, but competitive formats have never fully taken off. The REDSEC Elite and Open Series represent EA’s clearest commitment yet to building a dedicated esports ecosystem for the franchise.
EA says the move is just the beginning. The publisher plans to test new formats, explore competitive modes in Battlefield 6 multiplayer and collaborate closely with the community through Battlefield Labs. Tools like spectator mode and custom lobbies are also part of the long-term vision, with feedback shaping how Battlefield esports evolves heading into 2026.
Whether you’re chasing a competitive career or just want to see squads fight at the highest level, the REDSEC circuit is lining up to define Battlefield esports for years to come.
