The Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) is back with a bang in 2025, and it’s bigger than ever. With millions of players grinding through weeks of intense qualifiers, only the best of the best have made it to the grand stage. This year, 33 trios from across the globe will gather in Lyon-Décines, France, to compete for glory, bragging rights, and a massive share of the $2 million prize pool.

What is FNCS Again?
If you’re new to competitive Fortnite or just need a refresher, FNCS (Fortnite Champion Series) is Epic Games’ flagship tournament series. It runs throughout the year across multiple regions, with teams of three (trios) battling it out in a series of events called Majors.
Each Major includes weeks of Divisional Cups, Group stages, and Grand Finals. It’s a long and sweaty road to the top, and only the most consistent teams make it through. The FNCS Global Championship is where the best trios from each region finally meet for one epic LAN showdown.
FNCS 2025 Format
FNCS 2025 followed a structure of three Majors, each with its own rounds of Divisional Cups, Group Stages, and Grand Finals. Players had to earn Series Points, place high consistently, or grind through the Last Chance Lobby to lock in a spot. After months of competition, the top trios were finally selected to represent their regions at the Global Championship.
The FNCS Global Championship 2025 will take place on September 6–7 at the LDLC Arena in France, featuring two days of high-stakes matches (12 games total) to crown the ultimate champion.
