Only 12,300 of these limited edition consoles were made worldwide, each individually numbered, and they completely sold out at retail. This is now the only way to get one in New Zealand.

The 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro was released to celebrate 30 years since the original PlayStation launched back in 1995. Instead of the standard white finish, this console features a throwback grey colourway inspired by the first PlayStation console, complete with classic detailing.

The auction is being facilitated via the Galabid platform.
To place a bid:
- Head to the official auction page via the link provided by Sony Foundation New Zealand.
- Register or log in on the Galabid platform.
- Enter your bid amount, starting from the $1,000 opening bid.
- Confirm your details and payment method.
Bidding will close at 5:00pm NZDT on Monday 16 March. However, there is an automatic extension rule. If a bid is placed in the final 90 seconds, the timer resets. The auction only ends once there have been no further bids for a continuous 90-second period.
The highest bidder after that 90-second window will be declared the winner.
The successful bidder will receive an automatic notification from Galabid to arrange payment. Sony Foundation will then contact the winner separately to coordinate delivery. If payment is not completed within 24 hours, the bundle may be offered to the next highest bidder.
Shipping is included within New Zealand only.
It is also worth noting that a payment processing fee applies for credit card payments, set at $0.30 plus 1.75 percent of the final bid amount.

All funds raised from this 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro auction will directly support the Sony Foundation Children’s Holiday Camp Program.
The program provides three days and two nights of fully supervised care for children with disability, at no cost to their families or carers. During the camp, high school and university students take on full-time caring responsibilities under supervision.
