100 Thieves are heading into a massive VALORANT offseason shake-up, with five players and two coaches confirming their contracts are expiring and that they’ve been given permission to explore free agency ahead of the 2026 VCT season.

The news marks the end of one of the longest-running rosters in the Americas region, with long-time fan favourite Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk now officially testing the waters for the first time since joining 100T in late 2020.
End of an Era for Asuna
For five years, Asuna has been a staple of the 100 Thieves lineup, largely playing Duelist but also taking on Initiator roles such as KAY/O, Gekko, and Skye when needed. In his statement, Asuna said he is still hoping to remain with 100T but is open to offers elsewhere. He clarified that he’s willing to play most roles, except scan Initiators or in-game leader positions.
Asuna’s departure from guaranteed 100T play is a significant moment for the VALORANT scene, as he was widely seen as one of the last true one-club players in the esport.
Cryocells, Boostio and Zander Also on the Move
Joining him in free agency is Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban, who signed with 100T in 2022. Known for his reliable Duelist performances and flexibility as a Controller or Sentinel, Cryo is now officially LFT after three years with the squad.
Kelden “Boostio” Pupello, who was benched after Stage 1 this year, also announced that he’s looking for a fresh start. Boostio helped lead 100 Thieves to the Americas Stage 1 trophy in 2024 after coming off a Champions-winning campaign with Evil Geniuses. Despite being under contract until the end of 2025, he has been allowed to speak with other teams.
Meanwhile, Canadian Controller Alexander “zander” Dituri is also out. He joined from M80 last offseason and was forced into the IGL role after Boostio’s benching. Despite leading 100T to a respectable 3-2 group stage record in Stage 2, the team finished 5th–6th in playoffs. Zander has confirmed he’s now looking for Controller or Sentinel roles elsewhere and is open to continuing as an IGL.
Rising Talent and New Faces Depart
Sentinel player Drew “Kess” Lee, who joined mid-season from the North American Challengers scene, is also exploring new options. Kess has been vocal about his flexibility across multiple roles, except Duelist.
This leaves 100T with just Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic as the lone remaining player under contract.
Coaching Staff Out Too
It’s not just the players moving on. Head coach Anthony “Zikz” Gray and assistant coach Yura “frenya” Elkin have also announced the end of their contracts. Zikz, who joined from Evil Geniuses in 2024, is now seeking roles as a head coach, GM, or esports director. Frenya, with experience across EMEA Challengers and Game Changers, is also looking for new opportunities in VCT or VCL.
100 Thieves’ Statement on 2025
The organisation released an official statement reflecting on a tough year where the team failed to qualify for VALORANT Champions for the third season in a row. Despite a Stage 1 championship in 2024 and a fourth-place finish at Masters Shanghai, 2025 fell short of expectations.
“We entered 2025 with one of the most promising programs in Americas, yet we consistently failed to deliver when it mattered most,” said Joseph Jang, VP of Esports at 100 Thieves. “Being close was never the outcome our players, staff, and we set out to achieve.”
Jang confirmed that 100 Thieves are conducting a full evaluation of their roster and overall approach, making “meaningful changes” to prepare for 2026.

Fans React to the Rebuild
Fans have been split on the news, with some saying they’ll miss Asuna’s signature aggressive playstyle, while others believe the rebuild is long overdue. Many highlighted standout moments like Kess’ debut ace and Zander’s clutch against Evil Geniuses as reasons the roster will be remembered fondly despite the lack of international success.
Looking Ahead to VCT 2026
With seven contracts expiring, it’s clear 100 Thieves are gearing up for a full-scale rebuild. Whether Asuna returns for another chapter or moves on to a new team will be one of the biggest storylines of the 2026 VCT offseason.
For now, only one thing is certain: the 100 Thieves VALORANT roster is set to look very different next year.
