The 2026 LCK Cup Finals are officially heading to Hong Kong, with Riot Games confirming that the tournament’s final weekend will be held at Kai Tak Arena. It marks the first time in LCK history that official matches will be played outside South Korea, a major milestone for the league since its launch in 2012.

The Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final are scheduled for February 28 and March 1, where the LCK Cup champion will be crowned and the final teams will secure qualification for the First Stand tournament.

LCK Heads Overseas For The First Time

Since its debut, the League of Legends Champions Korea has held all competitions domestically, even as its global audience steadily grew. While recent seasons featured roadshow events across Korea, including matches in Busan, Incheon, and Suwon, the 2026 LCK Cup Finals represent the league’s first full international roadshow.

According to the LCK, Hong Kong was selected for its travel accessibility and modern event infrastructure, making it an ideal destination for fans across Asia and beyond to attend an LCK marquee event in person.

Kai Tak Arena Set To Host Finals Weekend

The finals will take place at Kai Tak Arena, a newly opened indoor venue located within the Kai Tak Sports Park on the site of Hong Kong’s former airport. Opened in 2025, the arena has a seating capacity of around 10,000 and features modern broadcast and production facilities designed for large-scale international events.

The venue has already hosted major sports competitions and concerts, positioning it as a key destination for global esports events moving forward.

Dates, Tickets, And Fan Activities

The Lower Bracket Final will be played on Friday, February 28, followed by the Grand Final on Saturday, March 1. Ticket sales will begin with a presale for Paycool credit card holders at 11am KST on January 29, with general sales opening at the same time on January 30 through Damai and HK Ticketing.

Fans attending the event can also expect on-site attractions, including official merchandise, team booths, and sponsor activations throughout the finals weekend.

LCK Cup 2026 Reaches Critical Stage

The 2026 LCK Cup is currently approaching the end of its group stage, with only one week of matches remaining. Both the Baron and Elder groups are tightly contested, with Gen.G and T1 leading the standings at 4–0, while Dplus KIA currently top the opposite group at 3–1.

The upcoming Super Week will feature a single BO5 per team and award two points instead of one, a format that could significantly reshape the standings ahead of the Play-In round scheduled for February 6 to 8. The double-elimination playoffs will then run from February 12 to 22, culminating in the Hong Kong finals.
