Team Vision have made history by becoming the first European squad to win the World Series of Warzone Global Final, claiming the 2025 title in Las Vegas and taking home $300,000 USD (~£222,500).

The all-British roster of Ethan “Fifakill” Pink, Lennon “Lenun” and “Echo1867” stormed through the Match Point Final with 153 points across eight games, sealing their victory in style. Their path wasn’t straightforward, with the trio opening the event with a shaky 29th place finish. But they bounced back quickly, delivering consistent high placements before securing a Game 6 win with 11 eliminations.

By Game 7, Team Vision had already reached the 125-point Match Point threshold, meaning the championship could be clinched with a single victory. In the decisive Game 8, all three players survived into the final circle and closed out the lobby with 13 eliminations, lifting the trophy in emphatic fashion.

European Domination

The 2025 Global Final was a strong showing for Europe overall. Gentle M8’s, riding momentum from their recent Esports World Cup performance, finished second with 130.4 points. French organisation Team BDS rounded out the podium in third place on 122 points, with Leviatán finishing fourth and Team Falcons in fifth.

However, fans weren’t entirely pleased with how the event was handled. Delays, audio issues, and scheduling the $1 million tournament on a Wednesday drew widespread criticism, with many questioning why such a high-profile event wasn’t given better treatment.

Fifakill’s Triumphant Return

For Fifakill, the win marks a major comeback. Once one of the UK’s brightest Call of Duty stars, his form had dipped across 2023 and 2024, leaving him without a top-tier Warzone title since the Solo Yolo in 2022.

The victory also signals hope for the UK Call of Duty scene. Fifakill has been a mainstay in British esports, competing alongside the likes of Liam “Jukeyz” James and Kacey “WarsZ” Channer in the past. With his return to the top, UK fans finally have another major reason to celebrate on the international stage.

Biffle Bows Out

The tournament also marked the end of an era. Andrew “Biffle” Diaz, a two-time World Series of Warzone champion and winner of the 2024 Esports World Cup, announced his retirement before the opening match. Widely regarded as one of the greatest Warzone players ever, Biffle’s departure leaves behind a legacy few can match.

As Team Vision lift the trophy and Warzone fans look toward the future, the 2025 Global Final will be remembered as both a breakthrough for Europe and the UK, and a farewell to one of the game’s most legendary players.
