Fortnite has confirmed its next big crossover, teaming up with Netflix’s hit film KPop Demon Hunters. The collaboration drops on October 2 and brings a full lineup of skins, accessories, Mythic items, and even a brand-new limited-time mode.

Fans will be able to jump in as HUNTR/X members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, each arriving as Outfits in the Item Shop complete with themed Back Blings and Pickaxes. The collab goes beyond cosmetics, with Epic Games also introducing the Demon Rush mode, a spin on the fan-favourite Horde Rush, where players team up to battle waves of demons and seal the honmoon.
All the KPop Demon Hunters Items
Alongside the Outfits, the collaboration packs in a number of themed items and consumables:
- Rumi’s Empowered Sword – a Mythic melee weapon with combat buffs
- Zoey’s Golden Bubble Shield – a defensive shield item
- Mira’s X-tra Spicy Ramyeon – a consumable that adds tactical spice
- Derpy Teleporter Mask – a quirky item to mix up gameplay

Demon Rush Mode
The highlight of the collab is Demon Rush, a limited-time event running from October 2 to November 1. Inspired by KPop Demon Hunters, it challenges players to squad up and face endless waves of demons. It’s a clear step up from standard collabs, adding a completely new gameplay experience instead of just cosmetic tie-ins.

Storm Surge Update
On top of the crossover, Epic Games is rolling out a big Storm Surge change starting October 2. From now on, Performance Evaluation Cups will calculate Storm Surge using net damage rather than total damage. Only damage dealt to players who aren’t downed will count, and the metric will be tracked across the full match.
The change is designed to eliminate surge trading but has sparked debate in the community. Some players worry it could encourage teams to bunker down after dealing minimal early damage, while others believe it’s a step in the right direction.
As Fortnite continues to roll out major collaborations and gameplay tweaks, this latest crossover with KPop Demon Hunters is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious yet. With Demon Rush mode, new skins, and Mythic items, players have plenty to dive into when the update goes live.
