Battlefield 6 Maps: Every Release Date From Launch to Season 4’s Wake Island

Battlefield 6 has quietly gone from a nine-map launch roster to a sprawling, season-by-season rotation that now spans deserts, snowbound airbases, a reborn Battlefield 4 railway and, as of this month, open ocean. With Season 4’s naval overhaul already live and Wake Island due back on August 18, here’s every Battlefield 6 map and exactly when it arrived, drawn from EA’s own roadmaps and cross-checked reporting.

Nine Launch Maps Across Five Theaters, October 10, 2025

Battlefield 6 shipped on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 10, 2025, and according to EA’s official maps page, at launch Battlefield 6 had nine maps broken up within five theaters of war: Cairo, Gibraltar, Tajikistan, Brooklyn and Legacy. That launch set included the return of the classic Operation Firestorm map from Battlefield 3, alongside new locations spread around the world, including Cairo, Brooklyn, Gibraltar, and more.

EA’s own map notes single out Mirak Valley as the biggest of the bunch, describing it as the largest map at launch, a massive war-torn landscape filled with every type of vehicle, offering close-quarters gunplay on the streets, attack-helicopter dogfights and large-scale destruction. Every launch map was also carved into smaller variants; on Liberation Peak, for instance, the full Conquest layout is Ridge 13, while Breakthrough and Domination use scaled-down zones called Medevac Mile and Iron Pass, as detailed by GamesRadar+.

Season 1’s Free Maps: Blackwell Fields and Eastwood

The first big free expansion followed just under three weeks later. Sportskeeda reported that EA revealed the release date for Battlefield 6 Season 1 to be October 28, 2025, kicking off with the Rogue Ops content pack that added the Blackwell Fields map, the Strike Point mode, a new Traverser Mark 2 vehicle and fresh attachments. A second wave, California Resistance, arrived a few weeks later; as reported at the time, the second phase, called California Resistance, would release on November 18, with a new map named Eastwood, a dense battlefield built around Southern California’s upscale suburbs.
