Bandai Namco Confirmed for Tokyo Game Show 2026’s Record 759-Exhibitor Lineup

Bandai Namco Entertainment is officially confirmed as one of 759 exhibitors for Tokyo Game Show 2026, according to the exhibitor list published by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) on July 8. The 30th-anniversary edition of the show will run for a record-breaking five days, from September 17 to 21, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, and Bandai Namco joins fellow heavyweights Capcom, Sega, Square Enix, Konami and Koei Tecmo on the exhibitor roster.
The scale of this year’s show is unprecedented for the event. The number of exhibitors is 759 this year, including 484 domestic and 275 international, with exhibitors from 51 countries and regions and 3,946 booths. That international footprint surpasses Tokyo Game Show 2025’s total of 46 countries and regions, underlining just how far the Chiba convention’s reach has grown heading into its third decade.

CESA’s official announcement framed the show as a genre-spanning showcase for the industry. In the accompanying press release, organisers said “the venue will showcase a diverse array of genres and highly anticipated new titles across multiple platforms, including home consoles, smartphones, and PCs.” The statement also promised a mix of “leading e-sports titles and cutting-edge [augmented reality / virtual reality] experiences to innovative indie games,” alongside hardware and business-focused exhibits.
Bandai Namco Entertainment’s name appears in the general exhibition list published by CESA and confirmed independently by both Gematsu and VGChartz, placing the publisher firmly among the show’s headline participants for the 30th-anniversary edition. Specific booth layouts, playable demo lists and stage schedules for individual publishers, including Bandai Namco, are traditionally released closer to the show date rather than at the initial exhibitor reveal.
Ace Combat 8, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 and Elden Ring Tarnished Edition Have Been Bandai Namco’s 2026 Touring Titles
While Bandai Namco’s exact TGS booth lineup hasn’t been detailed yet, the publisher’s touring slate through mid-2026 gives a strong hint of what could headline its Makuhari Messe presence. At South Korea’s Fun Expo 2026, the company confirmed hands-on demos, and organisers noted that the company hosted the first domestic hands-on demos for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 and the ELDEN RING Tarnished Edition, alongside playable sessions of Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters, releasing in August, as well as Ace Combat 8: Wings of Siebe and Hello Kitty Party Land, both launching in October.
The same core group of titles anchored Bandai Namco’s gamescom 2026 booth in Cologne, where the publisher confirmed ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE would soar for the first time in the hands of visitors, along with DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 playable for the first time in Europe. Given that Tokyo Game Show is a home-turf event for the Tokyo-headquartered publisher, Japanese fans should reasonably expect several of these same titles, plus deeper cuts from franchises like Tekken and Gundam, to feature on the show floor once Bandai Namco publishes its own TGS booth details.

Game Freak Returns to TGS Off the Back of Beast of Reincarnation
Bandai Namco isn’t the only Japanese giant treating this year’s show as a milestone appearance. Inven Global reported that Game Freak, which has rarely appeared at TGS, has confirmed its participation following the August release of “Beast of Reincarnation.” That marks a notable return for the Pokémon developer, whose recent action-RPG has been drawing strong review scores ahead of its launch window.
Other confirmed publishers rounding out the general exhibition area include Sony Interactive Entertainment, Cygames, Level-5 and a large contingent of Korean developers, part of what Inven Global described as a notably international field this year given the show’s extended runtime.
First-Ever Five-Day Format Marks TGS’s 30th Anniversary
This year’s expanded schedule is tied directly to the show’s milestone anniversary. Tokyo Game Show 2026 will run for a record-breaking five days from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, marking its 30th year since debuting in 1996. The previous edition already drew huge crowds, with the 2025 edition recording 263,101 attendees across four days, and organisers are banking on the longer format and record exhibitor count to push that figure even higher in 2026.
For Australian and New Zealand fans, Tokyo Game Show remains primarily a Japan-based, in-person event without a dedicated regional broadcast partner, but its stage reveals and playable demo lineups are typically streamed globally and closely tracked by import-friendly ANZ audiences. With Bandai Namco titles like Elden Ring Tarnished Edition already confirmed for local Switch 2 release and Ace Combat 8 slated for an October launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, any fresh TGS reveals from the publisher would land directly in regional storefronts within weeks of the show closing its doors.
