<p data-start="436" data-end="505">Here’s everything trainers need to know before heading out to battle.</p>
<h2 data-start="512" data-end="551">Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Date and Time</h2>
<p data-start="553" data-end="674">Kyurem Fusion Raid Day takes place on <strong data-start="591" data-end="621">Saturday, January 10, 2026</strong>, running from <strong data-start="636" data-end="673">2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time</strong>.</p>
<p data-start="676" data-end="836">The event is fully Remote Raid friendly, and with a higher Remote Raid Pass limit, global participation is expected to be high throughout the three hour window.</p>
<h2 data-start="843" data-end="888">Featured Raid Bosses and Rotation Schedule</h2>
<p data-start="890" data-end="977">During the event, four powerful Legendary Pokémon will appear more frequently in raids:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="981" data-end="991">Reshiram</li>
<li data-start="994" data-end="1002">Zekrom</li>
<li data-start="1005" data-end="1019">Black Kyurem</li>
<li data-start="1022" data-end="1036">White Kyurem</li>
</ul>
<p data-start="1038" data-end="1101">These Raid Bosses rotate every 30 minutes throughout the event.</p>
<p data-start="1103" data-end="1129"><strong data-start="1103" data-end="1129">Raid rotation schedule</strong></p>
<ul>
<li data-start="1132" data-end="1176">2:00 – 2:30 p.m. Reshiram and Black Kyurem</li>
<li data-start="1179" data-end="1221">2:30 – 3:00 p.m. Zekrom and White Kyurem</li>
<li data-start="1224" data-end="1268">3:00 – 3:30 p.m. Reshiram and Black Kyurem</li>
<li data-start="1271" data-end="1313">3:30 – 4:00 p.m. Zekrom and White Kyurem</li>
<li data-start="1316" data-end="1360">4:00 – 4:30 p.m. Reshiram and Black Kyurem</li>
<li data-start="1363" data-end="1405">4:30 – 5:00 p.m. Zekrom and White Kyurem</li>
</ul>
<p data-start="1407" data-end="1537">After defeating <strong data-start="1423" data-end="1455">Black Kyurem or White Kyurem</strong>, trainers will receive an encounter with <strong data-start="1497" data-end="1515">regular Kyurem</strong>, not the fused forms.</p>
<p data-start="1539" data-end="1635">Winning raids during the event also rewards <strong data-start="1583" data-end="1600">Fusion Energy</strong>, which is required to fuse Kyurem.</p>
<h2 data-start="1642" data-end="1675">Event Bonuses and Shiny Boosts</h2>
<p data-start="1677" data-end="1738">Several bonuses will be active during Kyurem Fusion Raid Day:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="1742" data-end="1835">Increased chance to encounter <strong data-start="1772" data-end="1822">Shiny Reshiram, Shiny Zekrom, and Shiny Kyurem</strong> from raids</li>
<li data-start="1838" data-end="1940">Receive up to <strong data-start="1852" data-end="1888">five additional free Raid Passes</strong> from spinning Gym Photo Discs, for a total of six</li>
<li data-start="1943" data-end="2071"><strong data-start="1943" data-end="1985">Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 20</strong> from Friday, January 9 at 5:00 p.m. PST until Saturday, January 10 at 8:00 p.m. PST</li>
</ul>
<p data-start="2073" data-end="2193">These bonuses make the event one of the best opportunities yet to chase Shiny Legendaries and stock up on Fusion Energy.</p>
<h2 data-start="2200" data-end="2236">Featured Attacks During the Event</h2>
<p data-start="2238" data-end="2335">Pokémon encountered from raids during Kyurem Fusion Raid Day will know exclusive Charged Attacks:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="2339" data-end="2380"><strong data-start="2339" data-end="2351">Reshiram</strong> will know <strong data-start="2362" data-end="2378">Fusion Flare</strong></li>
<li data-start="2383" data-end="2421"><strong data-start="2383" data-end="2393">Zekrom</strong> will know <strong data-start="2404" data-end="2419">Fusion Bolt</strong></li>
<li data-start="2424" data-end="2458"><strong data-start="2424" data-end="2434">Kyurem</strong> may know <strong data-start="2444" data-end="2456">Glaciate</strong></li>
</ul>
<p data-start="2460" data-end="2582">Glaciate is especially important, as it enables Kyurem’s new Fusion exclusive moves when combined with Reshiram or Zekrom.</p>
<h2 data-start="2589" data-end="2630">How Pokémon Fusion Works in Pokémon GO</h2>
<p data-start="2632" data-end="2751">Pokémon Fusion allows certain Pokémon to combine into a single, more powerful form with a new appearance and abilities.</p>
<p data-start="2753" data-end="2801">With enough Fusion Energy, Kyurem can fuse with:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="2804" data-end="2843"><strong data-start="2804" data-end="2814">Zekrom</strong> to become <strong data-start="2825" data-end="2841">Black Kyurem</strong></li>
<li data-start="2846" data-end="2885"><strong data-start="2846" data-end="2858">Reshiram</strong> to become <strong data-start="2869" data-end="2885">White Kyurem</strong></li>
</ul>
<p data-start="2887" data-end="3024">Fused Kyurem will remain in its fused form until the trainer chooses to separate it. Separating does <strong data-start="2988" data-end="2995">not</strong> cost Fusion Energy or Candy.</p>
<p data-start="3026" data-end="3149">Please note that <strong data-start="3043" data-end="3148">Black Kyurem and White Kyurem cannot be traded, transferred to the Professor, or sent to Pokémon HOME</strong>.</p>
<h2 data-start="3156" data-end="3191">Black Kyurem Fusion Requirements</h2>
<p data-start="3193" data-end="3259">To fuse Kyurem with Zekrom and create Black Kyurem, trainers need:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="3262" data-end="3292">1,000 <strong data-start="3268" data-end="3290">Volt Fusion Energy</strong></li>
<li data-start="3295" data-end="3316">30 <strong data-start="3298" data-end="3314">Kyurem Candy</strong></li>
<li data-start="3319" data-end="3338">30 <strong data-start="3322" data-end="3338">Zekrom Candy</strong></li>
</ul>

<p data-start="3340" data-end="3434">Black Kyurem fully inherits Kyurem’s stats, so using a high IV Kyurem is strongly recommended.</p>
<h2 data-start="3441" data-end="3476">White Kyurem Fusion Requirements</h2>
<p data-start="3478" data-end="3546">To fuse Kyurem with Reshiram and create White Kyurem, trainers need:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="3549" data-end="3580">1,000 <strong data-start="3555" data-end="3578">Blaze Fusion Energy</strong></li>
<li data-start="3583" data-end="3604">30 <strong data-start="3586" data-end="3602">Kyurem Candy</strong></li>
<li data-start="3607" data-end="3628">30 <strong data-start="3610" data-end="3628">Reshiram Candy</strong></li>
</ul>
<div id="attachment_79652" style="width: 266px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-79652" class="wp-image-79652 size-full" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/646_f2.webp?x59294" alt="Pokemon GO Kyurem Fusion Raid Day" width="256" height="256" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/646_f2.webp 256w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/646_f2-150x150.webp 150w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/646_f2-125x125.webp 125w" sizes="(max-width: 256px) 100vw, 256px" /><p id="caption-attachment-79652" class="wp-caption-text">Image Credit: The Pokemon Company</p></div>
<p data-start="3630" data-end="3702">Like Black Kyurem, White Kyurem inherits Kyurem’s stats, not Reshiram’s.</p>
<h2 data-start="3709" data-end="3754">Volt Fusion Energy and Blaze Fusion Energy</h2>
<p data-start="3756" data-end="3853">Volt Fusion Energy and Blaze Fusion Energy are rare resources used exclusively for Kyurem fusion.</p>
<p data-start="3855" data-end="3873">Trainers can earn:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="3876" data-end="3939"><strong data-start="3876" data-end="3898">Volt Fusion Energy</strong> by defeating <strong data-start="3912" data-end="3928">Black Kyurem</strong> in raids</li>
<li data-start="3942" data-end="4006"><strong data-start="3942" data-end="3965">Blaze Fusion Energy</strong> by defeating <strong data-start="3979" data-end="3995">White Kyurem</strong> in raids</li>
</ul>
<h2 data-start="4013" data-end="4046">Adventure Effect: Freeze Shock</h2>
<p data-start="4048" data-end="4171">When Kyurem that knows <strong data-start="4071" data-end="4083">Glaciate</strong> is fused with Zekrom, Glaciate becomes <strong data-start="4123" data-end="4139">Freeze Shock</strong>, Black Kyurem’s signature move.</p>
<p data-start="4173" data-end="4232">Freeze Shock can be activated as an Adventure Effect using:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="4235" data-end="4251">5,000 Stardust</li>
<li data-start="4254" data-end="4270">5 Kyurem Candy</li>
</ul>
<p data-start="4272" data-end="4433">The effect lasts 10 minutes and causes encountered Pokémon to stop moving, making them significantly easier to catch, including with connected accessory devices.</p>
<p data-start="4435" data-end="4536">The timer can be extended in 10 minute increments, up to two hours per use, and up to 24 hours total.</p>
<p data-start="4538" data-end="4702">Freeze Shock cannot be active at the same time as another Adventure Effect. At this time, Black Kyurem cannot learn Freeze Shock via Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.</p>
<h2 data-start="4709" data-end="4738">Adventure Effect: Ice Burn</h2>
<p data-start="4740" data-end="4861">When Kyurem that knows <strong data-start="4763" data-end="4775">Glaciate</strong> is fused with Reshiram, Glaciate becomes <strong data-start="4817" data-end="4829">Ice Burn</strong>, White Kyurem’s signature move.</p>
<p data-start="4863" data-end="4902">Ice Burn’s Adventure Effect also costs:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="4905" data-end="4921">5,000 Stardust</li>
<li data-start="4924" data-end="4940">5 Kyurem Candy</li>
</ul>
<p data-start="4942" data-end="5113">For 10 minutes, the catch ring in Pokémon encounters moves more slowly, making Excellent Throws easier and improving catch rates overall, including with accessory devices.</p>
<p data-start="5115" data-end="5316">Like Freeze Shock, Ice Burn can be extended up to 24 hours total and cannot be active alongside other Adventure Effects. White Kyurem cannot currently learn Ice Burn via Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.</p>
<h2 data-start="5323" data-end="5373">Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Ticket and Web Store Box</h2>
<p data-start="5375" data-end="5481">For <strong data-start="5379" data-end="5390">US$4.99</strong>, or the equivalent in local currency, trainers can purchase an event ticket that includes:</p>
<ul>
<li data-start="5485" data-end="5544">Eight additional Raid Passes from Gyms, for a total of 14</li>
<li data-start="5547" data-end="5605">Increased chance to receive <strong data-start="5575" data-end="5592">Rare Candy XL</strong> from raids</li>
<li data-start="5608" data-end="5650"><strong data-start="5608" data-end="5630">50 percent more XP</strong> from Raid Battles</li>
<li data-start="5653" data-end="5692"><strong data-start="5653" data-end="5672">Double Stardust</strong> from Raid Battles</li>
</ul>
<p data-start="5694" data-end="5761">These bonuses are active only during the event hours on January 10.</p>
<p data-start="5763" data-end="5915">Tickets can be gifted to Pokémon GO friends with <strong data-start="5812" data-end="5829">Great Friends</strong> status or higher. Tickets are non refundable and cannot be purchased using PokéCoins.</p>
<p data-start="5917" data-end="6102">The <strong data-start="5921" data-end="5964">Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Ultra Ticket Box</strong> will also be available on the Pokémon GO Web Store for the same price and includes the event ticket plus a bonus <strong data-start="6078" data-end="6101">Premium Battle Pass</strong>.</p>
<h2 data-start="6109" data-end="6154">A Must Play Event for Legendary Collectors</h2>
<p data-start="6156" data-end="6403">With Black Kyurem and White Kyurem making their Pokémon GO debut, boosted Shiny odds, and powerful Adventure Effects that change how catching works, Kyurem Fusion Raid Day is shaping up to be one of the most important raid events in recent memory.</p>
<p data-start="6405" data-end="6586">As always, trainers are reminded to stay aware of their surroundings, follow local health guidelines, and keep an eye on official Pokémon GO channels in case of last minute changes.</p>
