Format Explained

Krafton has simplified the tournament structure for PGC 2025 to make it easy for viewers to follow without losing the drama that keeps PUBG exciting.

• Group Stage: 32 teams are divided into two groups. The top five from each group advance directly to the Grand Finals. The bottom three are eliminated, while the middle eight move to the Last Stage.
• Last Stage: 16 teams compete for the final five Grand Finals spots.
• Grand Finals: A 16-team showdown featuring the 10 Group Stage qualifiers, five from the Last Stage, and one regional wildcard team.

At the end of the Grand Finals, only one squad will lift the trophy and claim the title of PGC 2025 Champion.

Prize Pool and Pick’em Challenge

The base prize pool sits at a massive $1.5 million USD, with the final figure set to grow through the Pick’em Challenge crowdfunding system. Last year’s pool hit $1.78 million, and given the hype around this year’s combined PUBG United format, that number could climb even higher.

Fans will once again be able to take part in the Pick’em Challenge, predict winners, and engage with the event online, giving them a direct stake in the action.

Confirmed Teams So Far

As the road to PGC concludes in each region, more teams are being confirmed. Right now, 10 squads have already secured their spots:

• Americas: Team Liquid, FURIA, Mission Ready International Alliance, Al Qadsiah, ROC Esports

The remaining teams from Asia, APAC, and other regions will be finalised in the coming weeks.

PUBG is bringing meme madness to the battlefield this Halloween, teaming up with viral internet sensation Skibidi Toilet for a cross-platform collaboration that spans PUBG: Battlegrounds and PUBG Mobile.

South Korean publisher Krafton announced the partnership will run from September 25 to November 4, 2025, offering players across PC, console, and mobile the chance to dive into bizarre new modes, challenges, and rewards.

PUBG Mobile Skibidi Toilet Invasion

The fun kicked off first on September 25 in PUBG Mobile. Players can now encounter the infamous toilet monsters across maps including Livik and Erangel in Classic mode. These enemies don’t just sit there either, they fire lasers, summon minions, and smash the ground to disrupt squads.

Taking them down nets players rare supplies, and in true Skibidi style, it even broadcasts your team ID across the map. The chaos doesn’t stop there. Skibidi Toilet also appears in Metro Royale, dropping quirky loot such as Gold Toilet Paper, Golden Plungers, and even Golden Toilets, which can be traded for rewards.

From September 29, creators in PUBG Mobile’s World of Wonder can also use Skibidi Toilet as a monster in their own custom modes. Then from September 30 to November 4, a dedicated event adds a mini game where players collect points to unlock milestone rewards. Spend Perk Vouchers during this time to claim themed items like the Skibidi Toilet Costume, Cameraman Cover, and Cameraman Graffiti.

Halloween Arcade Mode For PC and Console

PC players get in on the action from October 22, while console players join from October 30 with a limited-time Halloween Arcade mode. For two weeks, players will take on PvE boss battles as part of the Alliance, fighting waves of Skibidi Toilets and their intergalactic cousins, the Astro Toilets.

Through the Event Pass, you’ll also be able to unlock Alliance-inspired outfits taken straight from the Skibidi Toilet universe, adding even more meme energy to the battleground.

First Hands-On At TwitchCon San Diego

Krafton is also bringing the crossover to TwitchCon San Diego 2025 (October 17–19), where attendees can try the Halloween Arcade mode ahead of launch. Fans will also get to check out PUBG Mobile and an early hands-on with Krafton’s next big title, PUBG: Blindspot.

Skibidi Toilet’s Viral Rise

For those who’ve somehow missed it, Skibidi Toilet was created by YouTube animator Boom! in 2023 and quickly exploded online. The PUBG Mobile Super League Central and South Asia (PMSL CSA) Fall 2025 has officially been moved online, with organisers citing safety concerns in Nepal as the reason behind the change.

Originally set to take place offline in Kathmandu from 18 to 28 September, the tournament will now be played entirely online. This decision follows the recent wave of youth-led demonstrations in Nepal, widely referred to as the Gen Z protests, which erupted over corruption, nepotism, and a now-repealed social media ban.

The situation escalated quickly after protests began on 8 September. According to Reuters, at least 51 people have lost their lives and hundreds more have been injured. The political turmoil also saw Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and several cabinet ministers step down on 9 September. Negotiations are ongoing between protest leaders, the army, and the President of Nepal to form an interim government.

In a statement, PUBG Mobile Esports said the decision was made after “careful evaluation and considering recent developments in the region,” stressing that the safety and well-being of players and staff remain the top priority. Organisers also reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a fair and competitive tournament experience, even in the online format.

Tournament schedule and stakes

Despite the shift to online play, the PMSL CSA Fall 2025 will go ahead as planned with a $200,000 prize pool and three coveted qualification spots for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025.

The Group Stage is scheduled from 18 to 24 September, where 20 teams will battle it out remotely. The top 16 teams will then advance to the Grand Finals, taking place from 26 to 28 September.

While moving online ensures the tournament can proceed safely, it raises potential challenges around ping and network stability, which could impact competitive integrity. However, organisers have assured fans and players that they will maintain the highest standards of professionalism.

The PMGC 2025 will be hosted in Thailand across November and December as part of the larger PUBG United event, where the best teams from around the globe will face off.
