New Zealand based publisher PikPok in collaboration with Trishula Entertainment today announced PikPok’s hit mobile video game franchise Into the Dead is being developed as a board game that will launch on Kickstarter in February of 2019.

The board game is being published by PikPok and is designed by Trishula Entertainment, whose team have more than 100 board game credits to their names. With over 60 high quality miniatures and the impressive visual aesthetic that fans have come to expect from PikPok’s mobile and PC titles, Into the Dead: the Board Game is a competitive board game for 2-4 players that has players taking risks and gathering supplies to face the hordes of the undead and reach safety.

“The Into the Dead videogame series has been a huge success for the studio, and we have been exploring many exciting avenues to extend the IP,” said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of PikPok. “As board game fans ourselves, this is a great next step for the franchise, and Trishula Entertainment has helped us create a whole new way to experience the world we have built.”

For Chris Cervantes of Trishula Entertainment, the project ties his experience in board game design with his past work at PikPok, where he was instrumental in the launch of the franchise in 2012. “Bringing Into the Dead to life as a physical game opens up so many intense shared experiences for the community of players,” said Cervantes, Co-founder of Trishula Entertainment. “For me personally it feels deeply satisfying to return to an IP that I worked on extensively during my earlier time as a game designer at PikPok. Partnering with the current PikPok team to ensure a faithful interpretation of Into the Dead is a tremendous opportunity. The entire Trishula team have been thrilled to bring our expertise to bear and leverage our unique connection to the property while doing so.”

PikPok’s original titles Into the Dead and Into the Dead 2 have amassed over 100 million downloads since the series launch in 2012. In Into the Dead 2, players follow the story of James, who journeys through the zombie apocalypse in a race to save his family. Armed with an arsenal of powerful weapons, players must fend off ever-increasing zombie threats while crossing treacherous terrain. The board game offers players the chance to play as James as well as other beloved characters from the world.

Into the Dead: the Board Game will launch on Kickstarter in February of 2019.

New Zealand’s PikPok has announced their latest original title I Am Monster is now available for free worldwide on the App Store and Google Play.

In I Am Monster, players are powerful Kaiju, rampaging through a city and smashing the enemies bent on destroying them. As the monsters traverse vibrant districts and new environments, players can collect unique monsters and pets to build the ultimate monster squad. The more the Kaiju smash the more they grow, evolving to enormous sizes and unlocking powerful abilities. But as the cities fight back, deploying bigger and more menacing bosses, players will have to develop their squad and grow to ever greater heights to defeat them.

“Monster movies have been a mainstay of the film industry for a century, and we’ve enjoyed the opportunity to present these worlds and characters from the monster’s point of view,” said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of PikPok. “It’s been great fun immersing ourselves in the world and characters, building on classic monster movie tropes. We think players will love the chance to take a walk in these monsters’ giant, stomping footsteps.”

Expanding on PikPok’s portfolio of original idle games including Doomsday Clicker; and Dungeon, Inc.; Kung Fu Clicker and building on classic monster movie nostalgia, I Am Monster is brimming with action-packed colourful chaos.

“I’m an avid gamer and getting to work on Night of the Living Dead with PikPok has been awesome. Anyone who is a fan of Night of the Living Dead or a fan of the genre is going to love this experience,” said Andrew Romero, George A Romero’s younger son.

PikPok’s original titles Into the Dead and Into the Dead 2 have amassed over 100 million downloads since the series launch in 2013. In Into the Dead 2, players journey through the zombie apocalypse in a race to save their family. Armed with an arsenal of powerful weapons, players must fend off ever-increasing zombie threats while crossing treacherous terrain.

The Night of the Living Dead event follows the story of Ben and his gruelling encounters prior to arriving at the farmhouse. Players will experience the unexplained events of the zombie uprising as they team up with country girl Alice in a fight for survival.

Steve Wolsh, CEO of Living Dead, said “working with George C. and Andrew Romero in creating this amazing experience for the next generation of Living Dead fans has been a dream come true and we couldn’t have found a better partner in this adventure than PikPok.”

“Into the Dead owes so much to George A Romero’s iconic franchise,” said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of PikPok. “The Night of the Living Dead event in Into the Dead 2 will offer fans an all-new immersive way to experience the terrifying landscape of Butler County. With Into the Dead 2’s one year anniversary just around the corner, we are honored to celebrate our own milestone alongside that of this groundbreaking film.”

Night of the Living Dead presented by Into the Dead is available on October 19 (NZDT) for download on App Store and Google Play and will run for a limited time until 26 October (NZDT).

PikPok recently announced to us here at STG that their new game Into the Dead 2 will launch on October 13th, 2017 for Android on Google Play, and iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch on the App Store.

Into the Dead 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to Into the Dead (70+ million downloads), the hit endless zombie runner released by PikPok in 2012. Following the gruesome style of the first game, Into the Dead 2 sees the addition of an evolving narrative, deeper gameplay, and highly crafted levels, offering players even more of an immersive and action-packed experience than the fan favourite original.

“Into the Dead has been a huge success for the studio, reaching tens of millions of players across a myriad of platforms” said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of PikPok. “Continuing the franchise with Into the Dead 2, we’ve massively expanded on the concepts explored in the original, adding much more content, depth, and longevity that will appeal to existing fans and new players alike. The release of the game is a huge and satisfying milestone for PikPok.”

In Into the Dead 2, players journey through the zombie apocalypse in a race to save their family. Armed with an arsenal of powerful weapons, players must fend off ever-increasing zombie threats while crossing treacherous terrain. In a world where no one is safe, players must do whatever it takes to keep moving; whether it’s slaying zombies from atop vehicles, stabbing them to survive, or risking going after them on foot. With their family’s rescue and reunion on the line, players will be pushed on far they are willing to go to make it out alive.

Well, now you can thanks to New Zealand mobile app developers Pik Pok.

Leading games publisher PikPok announced the launch of their new original title Doomsday Clicker for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android phones and tablets. The title continues PikPok’s explorations of clicker and incremental games, building and expanding on the success of other recent titles published on behalf of third parties.

In Doomsday Clicker, players destroy the world and profit from the destruction in a master plan for global domination. Tapping builds underground bunkers to house survivors, a quirky cast of characters who work to bring their new overlord ever-increasing profits. Packaged in a bright, distinctive art style with catchy original music and a wicked sense of humor, Doomsday Clicker will have players destroying the world over and over again!

“Doomsday Clicker has a great sense of fun and is the type of compelling experience that fans have come to expect in PikPok games,” said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of PikPok. “The game has been a hit internally, and we’ve all enjoyed playing Doomsday Clicker as much as making it.”

In Doomsday Clicker players can be the ultimate master of doom by destroying the world over and over again to increase profits. Destroy the world, and build it up again, making more and more coins every time. As every discerning Overlord requires a Supercharging device, Dooms Day Clicker consists of THE SUPERCHARGER, a wheel of chance that gives a limited-time productivity boost from your enslaved humans or mutants.

Collect bonuses when “unwanted visitors” come knock-knocking at your bunker door and once your millions turn into Quadrillions you can start bunkers at new locations, and feel immense satisfaction as numbers tick ever higher.

We played the free to play Dooms Day Clicker game on Android and became hooked very quickly. A full recommend from us here at Shane the Gamer.

Be the Overlord of Destruction that you were born to be and mash that Dooms Day button.
