Ukrainian esports organisation Passion UA has released its entire Counter-Strike 2 roster, bringing an end to an eight-month run that had its fair share of highs and lows, and signalling the start of a fresh rebuild.

The announcement came via X (formerly Twitter), thanking the players for their dedication and unforgettable moments. While Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk and Oleksii “Topa” Topchiienko have been released entirely, Mykyta “jackasmo” Skyba, Serhii “DemQQ” Demchenko, and Vladyslav “Kvem” Korol have been moved to the bench.

Passion UA announces roster changes.

We are parting ways with the entire team and want to thank every player for their dedication, hard work, and the unforgettable moments they brought to our fans!@Kvem_csgo , @jackASM0 and @demqqqq will stay with the team, but are now… pic.twitter.com/WhgsQrAJxs

“This is not the end of Passion UA’s story, it’s the beginning of a new chapter,” the post read, confirming the organisation’s commitment to continue competing in CS2.

The shake-up follows a run of mixed results. After a first-round exit in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 closed qualifiers, Passion UA also fell to Team 500 in the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 Europe Series #2, and suffered another defeat in ESL Challenger League Season 50.

It’s a far cry from their standout moment earlier this year, when they took down Fnatic in the grand final of Glitched Masters 2025, a win that pushed them into the top 50 of the Valve Regional Standings and close to the coveted top-32 bracket for the upcoming StarLadder Budapest Major in November.

The current roster had been assembled between January and April after Fnatic signed Rodion “fear” Smyk and Dmytro “jambo” Semera. But despite the promising LAN results, Passion UA struggled to carry that momentum into online play, ultimately missing out on key qualifications.

With the Major race heating up, the organisation is expected to sign a new line-up before the year’s end. Whether the next roster can replicate, or even surpass, their earlier success will be one to watch.
