<p style="font-weight: 400;">Curvy, sleek and bold.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">OPPO released their first smart watch some months back (you can see our review of the <a href="https://www.shanethegamer.com/tech/tech-reviews/oppo-tech-reviews/oppo-watch-review/">41mm</a> here) and did so with two size and spec variations.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The 41mm OPPO Watch naturally has a smaller battery and lifespan whereas the larger 46mm is able to keep going for longer.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">But that’s not the most notable difference, well not visually.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-49241" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec4-img2-165d0e746d71680275794cd4101eb0ac.jpg?x67281" alt="OPPO Watch 46mm" width="1123" height="1234" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec4-img2-165d0e746d71680275794cd4101eb0ac.jpg 1123w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec4-img2-165d0e746d71680275794cd4101eb0ac-273x300.jpg 273w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec4-img2-165d0e746d71680275794cd4101eb0ac-932x1024.jpg 932w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec4-img2-165d0e746d71680275794cd4101eb0ac-768x844.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1123px) 100vw, 1123px" /></p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The large AMOLED face has taken on the curved glass that traditionally was only ever attributed to flagship Android phones.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">This gives the 46mm or 1.9 inch screen a beautifully crafted flowing effect from either side. From your wrist to screen to wrist. It’s vibrant, alive and is one of very few smart devices that you can see on-screen information in direct sunlight.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Both the 41mm and 46mm OPPO Watch are built on Google’s WearOS. Hands down my favourite smartwatch system.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">With built in A.I. smarts, a zillion watch faces available on Play Store and equally the same amount of apps.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;"><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-49240" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec1-cimg3-a161542948923cafbdad2020758c3316.jpg?x67281" alt="OPPO Watch 46mm" width="1558" height="1539" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec1-cimg3-a161542948923cafbdad2020758c3316.jpg 1558w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec1-cimg3-a161542948923cafbdad2020758c3316-300x296.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec1-cimg3-a161542948923cafbdad2020758c3316-1024x1012.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec1-cimg3-a161542948923cafbdad2020758c3316-768x759.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/sec1-cimg3-a161542948923cafbdad2020758c3316-1536x1517.jpg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1558px) 100vw, 1558px" /></p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Google Assistant and Google Pay also built in. Pairing to an Android phone you will get all notifications instantly as they arrive. Seamless Spotify integration and a cool feature for some is OPPO’s A.I. of taking a pic and then letting the OPPO Watch do it’s thing and optimise it as a watch wallpaper.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">While OPPO have crafted the OPPO Watch as something to behold, the issue I found on the 41mm was battery life.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Having used the 46mm everyday for the past few weeks the lifespan on the larger model is significantly better.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">OPPO claim that the 46mm has 36 hours on ‘Smart Mode’ (this is usual mode) and up to 21 days in Power Saving Mode.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400; text-align: center;"></p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Without using Power Save I was consistently able to gain a day and a half of continuous use before it started complaining that it has 10% battery remaining. This is not too bad given the size and high spec screen that the 46mm OPPO Watch has. By comparison, the 41mm only gave me around 4 – 6 hours.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">So, not quite the 36 hours OPPO claimed, but not too bad overall. Charging up to full is real quick &#8211; around 20 &#8211; 25 minutes from zero to full.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The OPPO Watch 46mm is also super-fast. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 there is zero lag and for the fitness inclined out there, the OPPO Watch and Google have a whole suite of workouts ready for you take on.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-49239" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/OPPO-Watch-46mm.jpg?x67281" alt="OPPO Watch 46mm" width="1971" height="1347" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/OPPO-Watch-46mm.jpg 1971w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/OPPO-Watch-46mm-300x205.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/OPPO-Watch-46mm-1024x700.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/OPPO-Watch-46mm-768x525.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/OPPO-Watch-46mm-1536x1050.jpg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1971px) 100vw, 1971px" /></p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Waterproof up to 50 meters means that you can wear the OPPO Watch no matter what your preferred exercise is.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The screen – I love. An innovative watch face that no other smart watch manufacturer has ever attempted. Battery life is sufficient for most, especially if you’re in the habit of charging your watch up overnight.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">A fantastic newcomer in to the smart wearable market and for me the 46mm is definitely the winner between the two OPPO Watch models.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Looks amazing, battery life super disappointing.</p>
</blockquote>
<p>OPPO are smashing ahead with higher than top shelf flagship devices, at a more realistic pricing tier and now have entered in to the smart wearables category with the OPPO Watch.</p>
<p>So, I&#8217;ll get the obvious out of the way &#8211; yes it resembles the Apple Watch at first glance. But beyond that first look is where the similarities end.</p>
<p>Running Google Wear as it&#8217;s OS (and still in my opinion the better smart watch OS) the OPPO Watch comes in two sizes; 41mm and 46mm.</p>
<p>This review is for the 41mm.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-46946" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Front-46mm-Black.jpg?x67281" alt="OPPO Watch" width="1920" height="1907" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Front-46mm-Black.jpg 1920w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Front-46mm-Black-300x298.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Front-46mm-Black-1024x1017.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Front-46mm-Black-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Front-46mm-Black-768x763.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Front-46mm-Black-1536x1526.jpg 1536w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Front-46mm-Black-125x125.jpg 125w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></p>
<p>The OPPO Watch connects via bluetooth to your smartphone, either Android or iOS.</p>
<p>With Android it&#8217;s an almost automated set up. Real easy but you will need the WearOS app from Google Play. Apple phones is still easy enough, but different setup (and yes you&#8217;ll still need the WearOS app from the App store).</p>
<p>Connecting to an iPhone was restrictive in customisation of the watch and the apps I was able to install on to it.</p>
<p>Surprisingly alot lighter than other smartwatches out there at the moment, the device has a interchangeable silicone strap and is one of the first to be powered by a dedicated Snapdragon Apollo3 chip designed to maximise both performance and battery life.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-46947" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Side-view_41mm_RGB-3.jpg?x67281" alt="OPPO Watch" width="1920" height="1330" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Side-view_41mm_RGB-3.jpg 1920w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Side-view_41mm_RGB-3-300x208.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Side-view_41mm_RGB-3-1024x709.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Side-view_41mm_RGB-3-768x532.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Side-view_41mm_RGB-3-1536x1064.jpg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></p>
<p>OPPO state that their smartwatch will last up to 36 hours. In my experience with the review unit received, it barely lasted 8 hours.</p>
<p>Wearing the OPPO Watch fulltime for a week the watch would go into power saver mode almost just after 6 to 7 hours, or on occasion within 4 hours.</p>
<p>This made the OPPO watch somewhat unreliable for a full days wear.</p>
<p>If you find yourself short on juice the OPPO Watch uses the VOOC Flash Charging as we have seen in pretty much all of their smartphones, flagship to mid range.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-46944" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Back-41mm.jpg?x67281" alt="OPPO Watch" width="1920" height="2541" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Back-41mm.jpg 1920w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Back-41mm-227x300.jpg 227w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Back-41mm-774x1024.jpg 774w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Back-41mm-768x1016.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Back-41mm-1161x1536.jpg 1161w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Back-41mm-1547x2048.jpg 1547w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></p>
<p>From empty to full takes 15 minutes via it&#8217;s included magnetic charger, so if you are running low, which I suspect you will, at least a full charge up doesn&#8217;t take too long.</p>
<p>The multi-touch screen is an industry first with a 3D flexible hyperboloid display (46mm only). Typically this display is reserved for top tier smartphones.</p>
<p>WearOS by Google is a specifically built wearable operating system that gives you the best of Google and it&#8217;s said services, including Google Play and a zillion watch faces and apps.</p>
<p>The OPPO Watch signifies your notifications in a heart beat and never misses.</p>
<p>While the display is dazzling and sharp there is a heavy black bezel around the edges of the display &#8211; so not entirely full screen as I would have expected.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-46945" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold.jpg?x67281" alt="OPPO Watch" width="1920" height="1642" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold.jpg 1920w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold-300x257.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold-1024x876.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold-768x657.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold-1536x1314.jpg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></p>
<p>Swiping up, right, left and down gets you into differing menus and settings and as is standard a long press on the watch face enables you to change the watch face.</p>
<p>There are two tactile buttons on the right side of the watch. One gets you to the main app menu and the second lower one is instant access to different forms of workouts.</p>
<p>For the fitness inclined WearOS and OPPO have included an abundance of workout regimes, genres and more aswell as heart tracker, sleep management and more. All are displayed, mostly, in tiles and these are customisable.</p>
<p>OPPO has also included waterproofing up to 50 meters and a GPS but no LTE.</p>
<p>Competitively priced, essentially undercutting their competitors, OPPO have built an wallet friendly smart wearable.</p>
<p>While I do like the OPPO Watch I still feel there is some room for improvement &#8211; LTE, the screen bezel and battery life.</p>
<p>Perfect for those that have been curious and keen to get in to the world of wearables for the first time butkeep the charger dock handy at all times.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"></p>

<p>OPPO has revealed its first-ever smartwatch, with the release of 46mm and 41mm OPPO Watch variations, cementing the brand&#8217;s foray into the field of wearable products.</p>
<p>And in a global first, the OPPO Watch 46mm sports a 3D flexible hyperboloid display, while the wider Watch Series packs a high-spec engine, fast-charging, advanced sensors for all-action workouts, all wrapped into a pleasing design.</p>
<p>Running on Wear OS by Google and featuring OPPO&#8217;s own Dual-Chip Endurance System, GPS, Watch VOOC Flash Charging and five pro-grade sensors.</p>
<p>“The OPPO Watch presents a lot for its price, with a premium screen, five sensors for a range of activity and sports monitoring and a battery that will go the distance,” says Morgan Halim, Managing Director OPPO New Zealand.</p>
<p>“We’re thrilled to enter a new category for wearables and broaden our offering for customers, giving them more of the quality, stylish and affordable products they love. With more Android users turning to OPPO, I have no doubt the OPPO Watch will become a staple for our customers from here and in the iterations to come.”</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-46945" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold.jpg?x67281" alt="OPPO Watch" width="1920" height="1642" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold.jpg 1920w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold-300x257.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold-1024x876.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold-768x657.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/46mm-Glossy-Gold-1536x1314.jpg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></p>
<p>OPPO Watch&#8217;s flexible hyperboloid display is an innovative design typically reserved for smartphones. The 46mm version features a 1.91-inch AMOLED screen with a 72.76% screen-to-body ratio, 402&#215;476 resolution, and 326ppi density for extra detail. An &#8220;ultra-frameless&#8221; design makes the most of every millimeter of space, packing in an impressive viewing pane.</p>
<p>OPPO Watch owes its slim profile to its AMOLED screen, combined with a 4.5mm aluminum frame and 3D curved glass crystal. The back of the watch uses an integrated 3D ceramic design and sensors are designed to maximise contact with the skin without exerting pressure.</p>
