A New Home for Esports in Texas

North American esports organisation Envy is setting up a new high-performance facility in Fairview, Texas, designed to serve as a premium training and event space for pro players and visiting teams. The upcoming Envy Performance Lab, revealed by Envy founder Mike “Hastr0” Rufail, will officially open its doors next month and aims to become a central hub for bootcamps, short-term team stays, and esports partnerships.

The lab sits directly across the street from the Allen Event Center, a venue that’s beginning to host major esports tournaments including the League of Legends NA Championship. The location isn’t just about convenience—it’s surrounded by everything teams need for extended stays, from a Whole Foods grocery store and restaurants to a cinema and retail shopping.

Bootcamps, Rentals, and Partnerships

According to Hastr0, the Envy Performance Lab will feature three bootcamp rooms equipped with high-end gaming setups tailored for professional-level practice. These rooms will be available for both single-day use and longer team residencies.

While the facility isn’t open to the public on a walk-in basis, Envy plans to roll out public rental reservations before the end of 2025. This means local players, content creators, or smaller teams will soon be able to experience a professional-grade esports environment firsthand.

The organisation also hinted at potential partnership opportunities, inviting brands, teams, and event organisers to collaborate on future activations within the space.

Rufail confirmed that a brochure and rate card outlining rental costs will be published next month, giving teams a clear view of pricing ahead of the 2026 competitive season.

A Growing Trend in Esports Facilities

Envy joins a growing list of organisations investing in physical infrastructure for their teams and communities. Earlier this year, Gaimin Gladiators unveiled a $1 million training facility in Lisbon, Portugal, setting a new bar for European esports environments.

For Envy, this marks another step in a year filled with growth. Since Hastr0 re-acquired the Envy brand in early 2025, the organisation has expanded into new esports titles including The Finals, joined the game’s Partner Team Programme, and even began scouting for a Counter-Strike 2 roster to represent its colours.

Founded in 2007, Envy remains one of the longest-standing names in competitive gaming, and the launch of this new lab reinforces its commitment to developing players and supporting the broader esports scene.
