<p>The 2019 Huawei Mate30 Pro New Zealand Television Awards have just wrapped up with <span class="il">Sky</span> taking home two major category wins for <span class="il">Sky</span> Sport and Prime.</p>
<p>Congratulations to Brian Hitchcock, Dean Pooley, Gareth Thorne, Simon Head, and Mark Malaki-Williams who took out the ‘Monstavision Best Sports Programme’ category with part one of their three-part <span class="il">Sky</span> Sport documentary, <i>Keeping The Faith: 25 Years Of The Warriors</i>.</p>
<p>Part one of the docu-series premiered in May on <span class="il">Sky</span> Sport 2 and documented the Warriors’ early years, from the creation of the club right through to their first six seasons as a team. Both archival footage and unique interviews were used to tell the story that had Kiwi league fans across the country captivated and eagerly awaiting subsequent episodes.</p>

<p>“As the home of sport in New Zealand, we are delighted to win this prestigious award recognising the skills and storytelling talent of our Sport Production team. This documentary series was a labour of love and acknowledges our strong and long-standing partnership with the Warriors, past and present,” says Brian Hitchcock, Head of Sports Production.</p>
<p>Owen Hughes accepted the award for ‘Best Factual Series’ on behalf of the crew behind <i>Uncharted With Sam Neill</i>. The local production was produced by Frame Up Films for Prime in New Zealand, and followed the Pacific voyage of Captain James Cook in the 18th century.</p>
<p>This documentary, led by internationally-recognised actor Sam Neill, was made with the support of New Zealand on Air and was available free-to-air on Prime (as well as Neon) for Kiwi audiences.</p>

<p>“Congratulations to our Prime and <span class="il">Sky</span> Sport teams for their wins tonight. It’s fantastic to see their talent and dedication recognised in this way. On behalf of our 1,100-strong crew at <span class="il">Sky</span>, they’ve done us extremely proud,” says Martin Stewart, <span class="il">Sky</span> CEO.</p>
<p>“We love creating great local television for New Zealand audiences, and both of the awards tonight cover topics that mean a lot to Kiwis. <i>Keeping the Faith</i> tells the great sporting story of the Warriors’ journey from the start to where they are now – a strong competitor with an incredibly loyal fan base. <p>Huawei has received the highest rating from DxOMark for the <em>HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro</em>’s industry-leading camera system.</p>
<p>The <em>Mate 30 Pro</em>’s SuperSensing Cine Camera received an overall score of 121, four points higher than the second-highest score of 117, as well as the highest photo score of 131.</p>
<p>Both accolades recognize the <em>HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro</em> as the new king of smartphone photography, raising the bar for competitors.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-40606" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301.jpeg?x59030" alt="Huawei Mate 30" width="3240" height="1080" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301.jpeg 3240w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301-300x100.jpeg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301-768x256.jpeg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301-1024x341.jpeg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 3240px) 100vw, 3240px" /></p>
<p>DxOMark, the photographic ranking system which thoroughly evaluates the image quality of smartphone cameras, has announced that the <em>HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro</em>’s integrated quad-camera system, including the innovative SuperSensing Camera and Cine Camera, ranks number one in overall DxOMark camera score. By achieving the number one status, Huawei’s latest flagship device reinforces the brand’s reputation as the king of smartphone photography.</p>
<p>“With an overall DxOMark camera score of 121, the <em>HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro</em> is the new number one in our smartphone camera ranking. The new record is largely due to a phenomenal photo score of 131, a full five points ahead of the previous leader,” DxOMark commented.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-40603" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/07-Mate-30-Pro_Wireless-HUAWEI-SuperCharge-_JPG_EN.jpg?x59030" alt="Huawei Mate 30 Pro" width="2000" height="1333" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/07-Mate-30-Pro_Wireless-HUAWEI-SuperCharge-_JPG_EN.jpg 2000w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/07-Mate-30-Pro_Wireless-HUAWEI-SuperCharge-_JPG_EN-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/07-Mate-30-Pro_Wireless-HUAWEI-SuperCharge-_JPG_EN-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/07-Mate-30-Pro_Wireless-HUAWEI-SuperCharge-_JPG_EN-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/07-Mate-30-Pro_Wireless-HUAWEI-SuperCharge-_JPG_EN-360x240.jpg 360w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/07-Mate-30-Pro_Wireless-HUAWEI-SuperCharge-_JPG_EN-600x400.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px" /></p>
<p>The <em>HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro</em>’s ground-breaking camera system includes a 40MP SuperSensing Camera, a 40MP Cine Camera, an 8MP Telephoto Camera and a 3D Depth Sensing Camera. The SuperSensing Cine Camera is a dual-main camera system capable of taking stunning photos including Ultra-Wide Night-shots, Ultra-Wide Angle shots with HDR+, and portrait shots with Pro-Bokeh Effect. The 40MP SuperSensing Camera with RYYB color array is designed to attract more light, ensuring the <em>HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro</em> takes very detailed and clear images in super low-light conditions.</p>
<p>Coupled with an ISP 5.0 Image Signal Processor, the <em>HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro</em> captures photographs and videos of the highest possible quality.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-40602" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views.jpg?x59030" alt="Huawei Mate 30 Pro" width="2000" height="1333" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views.jpg 2000w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-360x240.jpg 360w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-600x400.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px" /></p>
<p><em>HUAWEI&#8217;s Mate 30 Pro</em> is also capable of taking professional videos in cinematic tones. The Cine Camera features a large 1/1.54-inch sensor size with a high maximum ISO of 51200 to capture videos including Ultra Slow-motion video at the highest 7680 frames per second as well as 4K Low-light Ultra-Wide Time-lapse video.</p>
<p>Since launching the Mate 30 Series earlier in September 2019, Huawei has redefined smartphone capabilities and prompted consumers to rethink photography and videography all over again.</p>
<p>It has also been announced that <em>Mate 30</em> and <em>Mate 30 Pro</em> will be releasing down under.</p>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Huawei are forging ahead despite their ongoing ban from the Android operating system.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">In Munich, Germany the mega tech Chinese based company launched the annual upgrade to their Mate series &#8211; the Mate 30.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">With glitz, glamour and fanfare the phablet device (largest version being 6.8 inch) was revealed to not be built with Google Apps.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Instead Huawei will be using their own App store, with Huawei based Apps.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The Mate 30 comes in two versions: standard at 6.6 inch and the &#8216;Pro model weighing in at 6.5 inch.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">As we have seen with previous iterations of Huawei smartphones, it&#8217;s all about the camera&#8217;s.</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-40606" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301.jpeg?x59030" alt="Huawei Mate 30" width="3240" height="1080" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301.jpeg 3240w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301-300x100.jpeg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301-768x256.jpeg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-301-1024x341.jpeg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 3240px) 100vw, 3240px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Using Leica lens technology, the Mate 30 has a 40-megapixel camera with a f/1.8 aperture, an ultra wide-angle 16-megapixel f/2.2 camera, an 8-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto camera, and a “laser focus” sensor. Phew &#8211; that&#8217;s a lot.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Both models have the standard 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage and are powered by Huawei&#8217;s own super chipset, the Kirin 990.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">On top of this there&#8217;s a third option.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Porsche Design and Huawei and have partnered again to launch the new PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 30 RS Series. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The fifth handset to join the exclusive line-up, the PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 30 RS continues to set the standard for performance and high-end smartphone engineering and functional design. The new device combines cutting edge technology with the ultimate in smartphone aesthetics. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Powered by the newest Huawei Kirin 990 5G, the world&#8217;s first flagship 5G SoC, the PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 30 RS supports both 5G Non-Standalone(NSA) and Standalone(SA) modes, adds to its performance credentials with wireless Huawei SuperCharge and a sleek aerodynamic design enhanced by two luxurious color versions.</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-40605" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-30-Pro1.jpeg?x59030" alt="Huawei Mate 30 Pro" width="3240" height="1080" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-30-Pro1.jpeg 3240w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-30-Pro1-300x100.jpeg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-30-Pro1-768x256.jpeg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Mate-30-Pro1-1024x341.jpeg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 3240px) 100vw, 3240px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">While the color black represents simplicity and strength, red is passionate, glamorous and adventurous. The PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 30 RS takes the lead in upgrading to the all-new EMUI10 operating system. Designed based on human factor, EMUI10 delivers comfortable user experience. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">EMUI10 operating system features a contemporary magazine inspired layout and dark mode to ensure comfort and readability when night falls. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Black and Red is a theme prominent in many of Porsche’s iconic sports cars and the PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 30 RS uses these colors to perfectly express the key dual attributes of power and speed. Handmade premium leather enframes the vertical glass stripe on the back and ensures together with the aerodynamic curves of the body a firm, ergonomic grip and premium touch that gives the feeling of complete control.</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-40602" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views.jpg?x59030" alt="Huawei Mate 30 Pro" width="2000" height="1333" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views.jpg 2000w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-360x240.jpg 360w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/05-Mate-30-Pro_SuperSensing-Cine-Camera-Exploded-Views-600x400.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The handcrafted semi-aniline top grain leather is soft yet highly durable, able to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. Each phone undergoes extensive resistance and durability testing to guarantee longevity and a consistent user experience. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The Huawei Kirin 990 5G SoC represents the pinnacle of mobile chip technology, paired with the PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 30 RS and it’s a potent combination of power and performance.</span></p>
