The limited nature of the programme signals a long-term commitment to building a structured global ecosystem, with selected teams playing a direct role in how Marvel Rivals esports evolves heading into 2026 and beyond.

A Long Term Vision For Competitive Marvel Rivals

The Ignite Team Partners Program is positioned as more than a standard team partnership. NetEase describes it as a shared vision model, where partner organisations collaborate closely with the publisher across competition, content, and community development.

Selected teams will receive guaranteed access to top-tier global Marvel Rivals competitions, along with the opportunity to co-create future competitive formats and community initiatives. This direct involvement allows partners to influence how tournaments, leagues, and fan engagement are shaped from the ground up.

Branding, Revenue Sharing, And Development Access

One of the biggest incentives is the commercial and branding support built into the programme. Partner teams will gain integrated exposure across global broadcasts, the Marvel Rivals game client, and official marketing channels.

Revenue sharing from events is also part of the offer, alongside priority access to collaborative business opportunities, including exclusive in-game content and promotional activations. Teams will also benefit from early access to pre-release builds and maintain direct communication with the development team, giving them insight into upcoming changes and competitive balance.

What Teams Need To Submit

To apply, esports organisations must prepare a comprehensive proposal package that outlines both their current operations and future plans within Marvel Rivals.

Applications must include an organisation overview covering corporate structure, financial backing, and esports history. Teams are also required to introduce key leadership figures across management, coaching, operations, and content creation.

A full brand identity kit for the proposed Marvel Rivals division is required, including the team name, logo, slogan, and any promotional or introductory video materials. Finally, applicants must submit a detailed 2026 partnership roadmap, outlining team development, content strategy, community management plans, and competitive goals for the inaugural Ignite season.

Application Timeline And Key Dates

The application window opened on December 30, 2025, and will remain open until January 15, 2026. Submissions must be sent via email with the subject line “[Organization Name] – Marvel Rivals Partners Program Application”.

The evaluation phase runs from January 16 to January 18, during which NetEase’s selection committee will review all entries and begin direct follow-ups with shortlisted teams. The final 12 founding partners will be selected before February, with the official announcement scheduled for a later date to mark the start of the Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026 series.

All applications should be sent to marvelrivalsesports@service.netease.com.

A Rare Entry Point Into A New Esports Ecosystem

With only 12 spots available globally, the Ignite Team Partners Program represents a rare opportunity for organisations looking to establish themselves early in a new esports title. NetEase has made it clear that it is seeking teams with proven operational excellence, competitive ambition, and a genuine commitment to growing the Marvel Rivals community.

For organisations ready to invest long term, this programme could define their place in the competitive future of Marvel Rivals.

With the franchise’s first full year of competitive events now wrapped, the move signals that Marvel Rivals esports is far from slowing down. In fact, it may be on the verge of expanding.

A New Season, A New Wave of Voices

The announcement arrives off the back of the Ignite Series, Marvel Rivals’ inaugural global esports circuit. It featured top-tier matchups, international competition, and two major offline tournaments in Guangzhou and Atlanta that helped cement the title as a rising force in the competitive space.

NetEase says it wants to bring even more personality, expertise, and energy to its broadcasts in 2026. The team describes the ideal caster as someone with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a unique voice that can elevate key moments for viewers around the world.

The call is open to newcomers and experienced casters alike, making this one of the most accessible entry points into a growing esports scene.

Application Timeline and Requirements

Marvel Rivals has laid out a clear roadmap for the 2026 caster recruitment cycle. Here’s how the process will play out:

• Sign ups: 3 to 9 December
• Resume screening: Until 14 December
• Interviews: 15 to 31 December
• Offers issued: Before April 2026

Applicants can submit their details through the official Google Form linked on the Marvel Rivals Esports website. NetEase encourages candidates who are passionate about casting to apply, promising opportunities to help shape the tone and identity of next year’s broadcasts.

A Major Year Sets the Stage for What Comes Next

NetEase is also using the moment to reflect on just how much Marvel Rivals achieved in 2025. From the Ignite Series to the Marvel Rivals Championship, the game drew global attention with events that connected communities from every region.

Offline tournaments brought fans together in person, while the online circuit built a competitive ladder that welcomed anyone willing to climb. These successes have laid the groundwork for a potentially larger and more robust esports calendar in 2026.

NetEase hints at this future in the application details, noting that broadcasts of Marvel Rivals Ignite “will be available” on YouTube and Twitch next year. While not yet a formal confirmation, it strongly suggests the Ignite Series could return.

What This Means for the Esports Scene

The caster program announcement arrives during a period of uncertainty for parts of the Marvel Rivals ecosystem. Several North American organisations, including ENVY and Sentinels, recently paused their involvement following the 2025 season’s conclusion.

Players and fans have voiced hopes that any return in 2026 might come with improved financial support for teams and a more structured long term competitive framework.

Even with these challenges, NetEase’s latest move signals a commitment to keep the scene alive and evolving. Opening caster applications suggests that broadcasts will continue and may even expand in scale as the game enters its second full competitive year.

ENVY Confirms Competitive Pause

North American organisation ENVY has announced that it is pausing all competitive operations in Marvel Rivals, marking another major departure from the game’s esports scene.

An update on ENVY Rivals: pic.twitter.com/qX51osduPw

— ENVY (@Envy) November 25, 2025

The update was shared on social media, where ENVY thanked its roster for their commitment and passion throughout the 2025 season. The organisation said that all players are now free to explore new opportunities with other teams.

In its statement, ENVY wrote that it hopes to return once the Marvel Rivals competitive ecosystem finds firmer ground, noting that it is proud of what the roster achieved together during its time in the scene.

Looking Back At ENVY’s 2025 Season

While the decision to step back was unexpected by fans, ENVY leaves behind a solid competitive run. The team found success with a win at The Shroud Gauntlet and later secured second place at the Mid Season Finals, establishing itself as one of the standout squads in the game’s inaugural circuit.

The announcement brings their 2025 campaign to an end and marks the start of a transition period for the roster as players begin searching for new organisations.

A Growing Trend In The Scene

ENVY is not alone in reassessing its place in Marvel Rivals esports. Shortly after the Ignite Grand Finals wrapped up, Sentinels, another major Americas competitor and the Ignite Stage 1 champion, also revealed that it would be pausing its involvement in the game.

At the same time, some organisations like Citadel Gaming have reaffirmed their commitment to the title, hoping the scene stabilises as developers chart the road ahead.

Concerns About The Future

The competitive future of Marvel Rivals remains unclear, and players have increasingly voiced frustration online. Many point to limited communication from developer NetEase Games, while others argue that the current financial structure does not provide enough incentive for teams to remain long term.

With multiple top organisations stepping away, fans and players are waiting to see how NetEase will address these concerns and support the game’s esports landscape moving forward.

What Comes Next

For now, ENVY’s departure adds another layer of uncertainty as the scene enters the off season. The organisation has left the door open for a return, but the next steps will depend heavily on how Marvel Rivals’ competitive ecosystem evolves.

As more details emerge, the community will be watching closely to see whether the game can regain momentum in 2026.

Sentinels’ time in Marvel Rivals was brief but impactful. The organisation entered the game’s esports scene earlier in 2025 and quickly established itself as one of the top contenders.

Their highlight came during Ignite Stage 1, where Sentinels defeated 100 Thieves 4-3 in a thrilling Grand Final to claim the Americas Championship. The victory secured their qualification for the Mid-Season Finals, though their run was cut short after an early elimination by Citadel Gaming.

In Stage 2, Sentinels finished sixth out of 16 teams after falling to DarkZero in the Lower Brackets, narrowly missing out on qualification for the Ignite Grand Finals, which were ultimately won by Virtus.pro.

Despite their strong presence and passionate fan base, the organisation’s departure reflects the growing frustration among teams over the lack of financial and structural support from NetEase Games, the developer behind Marvel Rivals.

A Subtle Message to NetEase

While Sentinels’ official statement remained diplomatic, it also included a subtle critique of NetEase’s handling of the game’s esports ecosystem. Their mention of “team incentives” hints at a broader industry concern, the absence of a revenue-sharing or team support program, which many organisations see as essential for sustainability.

NetEase launched Marvel Rivals in December 2024, accompanied by a $3 million tournament circuit. While the game’s blend of Marvel heroes, fast-paced combat, and unique team-up mechanics drew strong player interest, the competitive side has struggled to find stability without direct backing for organisations.

Sentinels’ exit adds pressure on NetEase to introduce a clearer incentive framework if they want to retain top teams and keep esports growth steady.

The Road Ahead for Marvel Rivals Esports

With Sentinels leaving the scene, questions are now being raised about the long-term health of Marvel Rivals esports. Players and fans have praised the game’s constant balance updates and seasonal events, but many believe those efforts need to be matched by a more sustainable competitive model.

As one of the scene’s most prominent teams bows out, attention now turns to NetEase’s next move. If the developer can implement a proper partnership or incentive system, organisations like Sentinels could return to the fold. Until then, the game’s competitive future hangs in the balance.

For now, Sentinels’ chapter in Marvel Rivals closes with pride, and a clear message about what it takes to build a thriving esports ecosystem.

Virtus.pro have officially claimed the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals crown, taking down Natus Vincere (NAVI) 4-1 in an explosive finale at DreamHack Atlanta. The EMEA powerhouse walks away with a massive $320,000 NZD (around £243,000) prize, cementing their spot as the best Marvel Rivals team in the world right now.

After months of competitive play across global regions, the final showdown brought together two of the scene’s biggest names. Virtus.pro entered as the Ignite Stage 2 EMEA champion and clear favourite, and they didn’t disappoint.

From Group Stage to Glory

The road to victory was a story of pure consistency and control. Virtus.pro dominated their group stage with a flawless 5-0 record, setting the tone for the playoffs. They had already bested NAVI earlier in the tournament with a 2-0 sweep, proving that the rematch in the Grand Finals would be an uphill battle for the Ukrainian side.

The playoffs featured eight top teams in a double-elimination format. Early exits came from REJECT and DarkZero, while Citadel Gaming and ChopperMag bowed out in the quarterfinals. NAVI, however, battled through the Lower Bracket, eliminating both 100 Thieves (3-1) and FlyQuest (3-1) to earn their place in the Grand Finals against Virtus.pro.

Despite their momentum, NAVI couldn’t hold back the EMEA titans once more. Virtus.pro’s discipline, coordination, and tactical mastery across multiple maps sealed the deal.

After missing out on the Mid-Season Finals earlier this year due to a disappointing Ignite Stage 1, this championship marks the ultimate redemption arc for Virtus.pro.
What’s Next for Marvel Rivals Esports?

The conclusion of the Ignite Grand Finals wraps up the first-ever Marvel Rivals competitive season. NetEase Games hasn’t yet confirmed whether the Ignite circuit will return next year, but fans can rest easy knowing more is on the horizon.

The next major event, the Seasonal Championships, will take place during Season 4: Heart of the Dragon, offering players another shot at glory.

With Virtus.pro setting the new benchmark, Marvel Rivals esports looks set for a bright and action-packed future.

Running from October 27 to November 2, 2025, the Grand Finals will mark a major milestone for Marvel Rivals esports, bringing together powerhouse rosters from the Americas, EMEA, Asia, Oceania, and China in a true cross-regional battle for supremacy.

While fans are thrilled to see some of the biggest names in Marvel Rivals esports collide, not everyone is happy with how the groups turned out.
A fan summed up the sentiment humorously, commenting that “ENVY’s reaction to Group A after seeing they have a cake walk to finals”, a nod to the perception that Group A might be less competitive.

This year’s Ignite Grand Finals isn’t just another tournament, it represents a defining moment for Marvel Rivals as a rising force in the competitive gaming scene.
Whether it’s Virtus.pro’s confidence, 100 Thieves’ momentum, or Crazy Raccoon’s explosive playstyle, the Ignite Grand Finals promises one thing above all: pure chaos and competition worthy of a Marvel showdown.

The event marks a major moment for both CouRage and the Marvel Rivals community. Not only will it see one of gaming’s biggest personalities return to his roots in esports commentary, it will also put the spotlight firmly on NetEase Games’ growing superhero brawler, which has quickly become a favourite among streamers and competitive players.

The CouRage Clash – what to expect

The CouRage Clash is being held in partnership with Marvel Rivals and its developer, NetEase Games. It will feature a line-up of fan-favourite streamers battling it out for a slice of the $100,000 prize pool. CouRage has hinted that more creators will be added to the roster, keeping fans guessing right up to the start of the event.

For long-time fans, CouRage’s return to casting is just as exciting as the competition itself. His last stint behind the mic was in 2018, when he wrapped up his commentary career with Major League Gaming at the Call of Duty World League. Since then, he’s focused on streaming, content creation, and building 100 Thieves into one of the biggest names in gaming.

Marvel Rivals’ rise in creator tournaments

Since its release last December, Marvel Rivals has sparked a wave of community-run tournaments hosted by top creators.

Earlier this year, Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek hosted The Shroud Gauntlet, where team ENVY claimed the win. Felix “xQc” Lengyel followed with the xQc Invitational, which featured the largest creator prize pool yet at $250,000. Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang also drew attention with his Creator Cup and its 2.0 sequel, while Siarhei “bogur” Alekau’s Bogur Bash saw 48 pros clash for another $100,000 prize.

The CouRage Clash now joins that list, but what sets it apart is CouRage’s long-awaited commentary comeback. With his trademark energy and humour, fans can expect the broadcast to be just as entertaining as the matches themselves.

A big moment for Marvel Rivals esports

While 100 Thieves already fields a roster in Marvel Rivals esports, this marks CouRage’s first direct involvement with the scene. His return could draw even more eyes to the competitive side of the game, especially with the Ignite Stage events continuing to build momentum around the title.

With one of gaming’s most recognisable voices at the helm, The CouRage Clash is shaping up to be a must-watch event for Marvel Rivals fans and esports enthusiasts alike.

Natus Vincere, better known as NAVI, has officially entered the Marvel Rivals esports scene after signing the roster that recently won the Mid-Season Finals. The Ukrainian organisation, famous for its success in titles like Counter-Strike and Dota 2, announced the move on 16 September with the bold statement, “We are inevitable. NAVI is joining Marvel Rivals.”

— NAVI (@natusvincere) September 16, 2025

The timing couldn’t be better. Marvel Rivals has quickly become one of the most talked-about competitive shooters of 2025, and NAVI is set to debut in the Marvel Rivals Ignite 2025 autumn split for the EMEA region. That tournament begins on 18 September and carries a $250,000 prize pool, with three spots up for grabs at the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals later this year.

NAVI’s Marvel Rivals roster

The full seven-player lineup, plus analyst, includes:

Nikolai “Naga” Dereli

Maxwell “fate” Currie

Rasmus “Raajaro” Rosvall

Mark “Lv1Crook” Leveleki – named Finals MVP in Guangzhou

Oliver “TrqstMe” Pöhler

Majd “Crysis” Gerges

Jurica “Jur3ky” Risek

Analyst: Skyza, who also worked with the squad during their Mid-Season Finals victory

The roster comes with plenty of pedigree. In August, while playing under Rad EU, they won the first-ever Marvel Rivals LAN in Guangzhou, China, which featured a massive $500,000 prize pool. That victory cemented the team as one of the strongest in the new esport.

An unforgettable season has been capped with a legendary victory @RadEsport, and FMVP @Lv1Crook_

A massive thank you to all the teams, players, and Rivals who made the Marvel Rivals IGNITE Mid-Season Finals an incredible journey.

Roster shakeups and rivalries

Not every player from that championship-winning run made the move to NAVI. Adam “Meliø” Jensen departed before the announcement, joining Citadel Gaming (formerly Brr Brr Patapim), the EMEA Stage 1 champions. That sets up a spicy storyline for Ignite Stage 2, where Meliø will face off against his former teammates under a new banner.

The Marvel Rivals scene is already buzzing with activity ahead of the autumn split. While NAVI steps into the spotlight, other major roster changes are shaking things up. Season 2 EMEA champions Ex Oblivionne recently announced their exit from competition, and Rad Esports, after releasing its EU roster, is making a comeback in the Americas with a brand-new lineup. Meanwhile, Sentinels have also rebuilt their roster, parting ways with three of their original Mid-Season Finals players.

A big moment for Marvel Rivals esports

Marvel Rivals launched to massive hype earlier this year, quickly attracting major organisations like 100 Thieves, Gen.G, and Sentinels. With NAVI now entering the mix, the Ignite circuit gains even more prestige and credibility. The addition of a championship-winning roster gives NAVI instant contender status, and their presence could be pivotal in keeping the game’s esports scene thriving at a time when competition from titles like Overwatch remains fierce.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see NAVI in action. Their Marvel Rivals debut kicks off in the Ignite autumn split on 18 September, with all eyes on whether this stacked roster can carry their winning momentum into NAVI’s iconic black-and-yellow colours.
