Today SOEDESCO and development studio PixelHive announced to us here at STG that their 90’s inspired platformer Kaze and the Wild Masks is coming to console and PC.

André Schaan, CEO of Brazilian development studio PixelHive, is enthusiastic to see their game come to console. “Ever since the early development stages, we’ve always held a console version for the game in mind. Kaze and the Wild Masks embraces all the classic 90’s platformer elements and we believe that both the Steam and console versions will truly complement the game in their own way. We can’t wait to bring nostalgic, yet modern-looking gameplay to today’s consoles.”

With hand-animated pixel-art graphics, classic side-scrolling action and a fierce rabbit as the protagonist, Kaze and the Wild Masks takes players back to the 90’s where animals with attitudes ruled the day. Besides running and jumping, players can acquire masks’ and utilize the masks’ powers to perform special abilities such as flying in the air and swimming underwater.

Kaze and the Wild Masks is releasing on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam.

The pixel-art platformer hops to the stores with both a digital and physical version. An Xbox One demo is available during the Xbox One Summer Game Fest from tomorrow until July 27th, 2020.

SOEDESCO has announced their partnership with game developer VOX Game Studio for the publishing of the colorful 2D platformer Kaze and the Wild Masks.

VOX Game Studio is a Brazilian indie developer that has been passionately working on the development of Kaze and the Wild Masks since 2015. André Schaan, CEO of VOX Game Studio is looking forward to the collaboration. “We’re excited to join forces with SOEDESCO and make Kaze a rabbit to remember. With simple and intuitive mechanics, difficult challenges, iconic bosses and the satisfyingly smooth platforming and speed of the game, players will experience that classic 90’s platformer vibe which many love so dearly.

Besides inspiration from classics such as Donkey Kong Country 2  and Super Mario World, Kaze and the Wild Masks creates its own identity with colorful modern pixel art graphics that appeal to past and present generations.
