Ukraine’s Next Generation Steps Into the Spotlight

Ukrainian organisation B8 Esports have officially unveiled their brand-new Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) academy lineup, showcasing a promising roster of young talent aged between 14 and 17.

According to the team, the idea of forming an academy has been in development for quite some time. After extensive scouting, B8 have now assembled a group of rising players who are already competing in online tournaments and qualifiers, with hopes of soon appearing on HLTV-covered events.

Meet the New Faces of B8 Academy

The full B8 Esports Academy roster is made up entirely of Ukrainian players:

Dmytro “r0se” Pankiv – 14 years old

Oleksandr “La1roN” Bilyakov – 17 years old

Volodymyr “k1n” Kozovyk – 17 years old

Mykhailo-Nazarii “segukawa” Bybel – 15 years old

The team will be led by Dmytro “t0kk” Petrenchuk as coach, a figure well known within the regional scene. B8 also extended a special thanks to CSDE for facilitating the transfer of k1n, one of the key additions to the squad.

Investing in the Future of Ukrainian Esports

B8’s academy project marks an important milestone for the organisation’s long-term vision, focusing on nurturing home-grown CS2 talent and building a foundation for future success. With players this young, the team is betting on early development, structured coaching, and competitive exposure to shape Ukraine’s next generation of esports professionals.

The community has responded positively to the move, praising B8 for providing opportunities to rising players at such an early stage in their careers. As the academy roster continues to gain experience in upcoming tournaments, fans are eager to see how far these young talents can go.

For now, this marks an exciting new chapter for B8, and possibly the beginning of something big for Ukraine’s CS2 scene.
