Jennifer Lopez’s long awaited musical experience THIS IS ME…NOW begins with the release in February 2024 of a new full length album and film inspired by the new music.

The release of This Is Me…Now, Lopez’s first studio album in nearly a decade, celebrates the anniversary of its sister album, This is Me…Then, completing a 20 year journey. The album, written and executive produced by Lopez and Rogét Chayed, along with Angel Lopez, Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, HitBoy, Tay Keith and INK among others, effortlessly blends R&B, contemporary pop sounds and hip-hop beats, combined with her emotional signature vocals is Lopez’s most honest and personal yet.

This is Me…Now: The Film is like nothing you’ve ever seen from JL. A narrative driven, intimate, reflective, sexy, funny, fantastical, and highly entertaining musical and visual reimagining of her publicly scrutinized love life. Along with Director Dave Meyers, Lopez creates a genre-redefining immersive cinematic experience: an extravagant visual and sonic feast with impressive choreography, star studded cameos, costumes, sets and blockbuster-worthy visuals. Can’t Get Enough, the first single from This Is Me…Now: The Album, will be released on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, and is available to pre-save today on all major streamers along with a 30-second sound clip on social platforms.

You have a certain expectation to what type of film you are heading into with the title Hustlers… and you would have guessed right.

Inspired by the viral New York Magazine article, Hustlers follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who who don’t agree with the work that Wall Street is doing, they take things into their own hands to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients, hustling their way through life by drugging and stealing their money.

Destiny’s (Constance Wu) life changes forever when she becomes friends with Ramona (Jennifer Lopez) the club’s top money earner. Completely in awe of Ramona, Destiny takes on the advice on how to manipulate her way around the wealthy Wall Street clientele who frequent the club. But when the 2008 economic collapse cuts into their profits, they struggle to make ends meet.

But getting a ‘regular’ job turns out not to be so easy for them, especially from the trade they have been in. After trying to find work and failing is what pushes them to go back to stripping and start planning a daring scheme to take their lives back.

There is a mixture of emotions with some heartbreaking situations but due to the shallow and unlikable characters you don’t connect with, you therefore feel nothing for them.

Prime example is they validate in their decisions to become con-artists, bragging proudly about robbing their own clients and how much money they have stolen. Only to spend their time drinking, partying and buying lavish material items.

As a film alone, it was okay and is somewhat enjoyable. It does become a bit of a repetitive cycle with not much movement to it, with no depth or complexity throughout.

Hustlers did have a handful of very amusing moments, but it was not enough to redeem it as a whole.

Bryan Adams announces his brand-new album, Shine A Light out March 1st 2019 on Polydor Records. The album will be available across all physical formats, including vinyl and on all digital platforms.

The album title will be the lead single from the record, which will get its worldwide premiere on BBC Radio 2, January 17th 2019 and will then be available to stream across all streaming platforms.

Co-written with singer / songwriter Ed Sheeran, the lead single is a great pop-rock opener to the new album. Says Adams on the song “I met Ed in Dublin this year at one of his shows and we kept in touch. One day I sent him a chorus I had for a song idea I had called ‘Shine A Light’ and asked him if he was interested in collaborating on it. I got a couple of verses back a few days later, and man you should hear him sing it!”

“I’m thrilled to be releasing this new 12-track studio album, which has a good blend of rock and pop and R&B.The new album will also feature a duet with American popstar Jennifer Lopez on the future classic “That’s How Strong Our Love Is”. “Working with Jennifer was a dream, our voices sound amazing together.” says Adams.

To coincide with the new album release, Bryan Adams will be heading out on a ‘Shine A Light’ World Tour.
