To celebrate the launch, CouRage is hosting The CouRage Clash, a $100,000 Fortnite duos tournament dropping on December 12th.

The European trio battled through two days of competition against 32 other teams, coming out on top with 697 points to secure the trophy and a hefty $450,000 grand prize.

How They Won It

Running from 6–7 September, the Grand Finals put players through 12 games where consistency proved more valuable than chaos. Queasy, SwizzY and Merstach dominated early, winning three of the first four matches and notching up 16 eliminations in game three alone. Even when their momentum slowed in the mid-games, they kept themselves safely inside the top 10.

The closing matches tested their endurance, as they failed to finish higher than 11th from game nine onwards. Still, the points they had banked earlier were enough to keep them clear of the chasing pack, ultimately securing first place and the FNCS 2025 Global Championship title.

It was an impressive turnaround considering the trio had only qualified through a fifth-place finish at the FNCS 2025 Major 2 Europe Grand Finals. Their victory also came as a surprise to many fans, especially with well-known names like Clix finishing as low as 18th.

Redemption From 2024

This result marks a huge improvement for all three players compared to last year’s Global Championship. SwizzY finished 10th in 2024 alongside Japko, Queasy narrowly missed out on the title as runner-up with Th0masHD, and Merstach came in 32nd. This year, they proved that hard work, teamwork, and smart decision-making can flip the script entirely.

Meanwhile, former champions Peter ‘Peterbot’ Kata and Miguel ‘Pollo’ Moreno couldn’t find the same success, with their teams placing 15th and 16th.

FNCS 2025 Breaks Viewership Records

It wasn’t just the players who scored big in Lyon. The FNCS 2025 Global Championship became the most-watched Fortnite esports event since the 2019 World Cup Finals. According to Esports Charts, the tournament peaked at 954,473 viewers, with an average of 690,831 watching throughout the weekend. In total, fans logged more than 7.5 million hours of watch time across nearly 11 hours of airtime.

Game 12 in particular drew massive attention, going down as the most popular Fortnite series of the year in terms of peak viewership.

Why This Win Matters

For Fortnite’s competitive scene, this year’s Global Championship highlighted the importance of calculated play over risky gambles. The champions succeeded not by forcing fights but by reading zones, conserving materials, and keeping their rotations clean. Their discipline has set a new benchmark for trios going forward, showing that consistent strategies can win out on the biggest stage.

As Fortnite esports continues to prove its staying power, events like the FNCS Global Championship give players, teams, and sponsors confidence that battle royale competition can thrive at the highest level.

With record-breaking viewership and a dramatic title run, FNCS 2025 will be remembered as a turning point for both the trio of Queasy, SwizzY and Merstach, and the competitive future of Fortnite.

From hosting women’s Rocket League competitions that brought together amateur, pro, and collegiate talent, to now turning its sights on Fortnite, the platform has become one of the most consistent champions of women in esports.

While the exact format of the Raidiant Invitational hasn’t been confirmed yet, the hype around it shows just how much appetite there is for competitive Fortnite on the women’s side.

The Raidiant Invitational is another strong step in building out that ecosystem, offering players a new stage and proving once again that the demand for women’s esports is only getting bigger.

How to Watch

Fans won’t have to wait long, as the action kicks off this Sunday. You can tune in from 11AM PT / 8PM CEST on September 1st, with Raidiant streaming the matches live.

With Fortnite still one of the most popular battle royales in the world, and women’s esports continuing to surge in 2025, the Raidiant Invitational could be one of the standout community-driven tournaments of the year.

Fortnite’s not slowing down with competitions, and this time Epic’s giving mobile players their own spotlight. The Blitz Mobile Cup is arriving this August, and with it comes a bunch of free rewards, including a brand-new outfit, pickaxe, emote, and even a back bling.

If you’re jumping in, here’s everything you need to know, when it starts, how to play, and what you can unlock.

What is the Blitz Mobile Cup?

The Blitz Mobile Cup is a solo tournament designed just for mobile players. Instead of the usual Battle Royale grind, Blitz matches are shorter and faster, so games will only last a couple of minutes.

Your goal is simple: rack up points through eliminations and placements, and climb the leaderboard. Depending on how well you perform, you’ll bag exclusive cosmetic rewards.

Yeah, you’ve read this right.
Earn 5 points to claim the First Response Tac Pack Back Bling, 20 points for the Gavel Banger Emote. Place at the top of your region to unlock the NITE Unit Marksman Outfit and Pickaxe!

And the best part? Epic isn’t treating this like a one-off, the Cup will return weekly every Thursday from August 28th onwards, so you’ll have more than one chance to score the prizes.

When Does it Start?

The first Blitz Mobile Cup kicks off on Saturday, August 23rd. The start time depends on your region, and Fortnite’s giving plenty of time slots so everyone can join.

Here’s a quick rundown for some of the major time zones:

North America – East: August 23rd, 6 PM EDT (23rd, 11 PM BST / 24th, 12 AM CET / 24th, 7 AM JST)

North America – West: August 23rd, 5 PM PDT (23rd, 8 PM EDT / 24th, 1 AM BST / 24th, 2 AM CET / 24th, 9 AM JST)

North America – Central: August 23rd, 6 PM EDT (23rd, 11 PM BST / 24th, 12 AM CET / 24th, 7 AM JST)

Make sure you check the in-game Compete tab for your exact schedule, as it’ll be tied to your local servers.

Rewards – What Can You Win?

This is where things get exciting. The Blitz Mobile Cup comes with four reward tiers, and you don’t even need to place high to grab some of them.

Earn 5 Points: First Response Tac Pack Back Bling

High Placement (Region Specific): Nite Unit Tac Axe Pickaxe

The Nite Unit Marksman Outfit is the standout prize, and it’s reserved for players who finish towards the top of their region’s leaderboard. Exact placement brackets vary depending on whether you’re in NA East, West, or Central, but in general, thousands of players will walk away with the rewards.

How To Compete

Log in on mobile – this Cup is specifically for Fortnite’s mobile players.

Check the Compete tab – find Blitz Mobile Cup, then register for the event.

Play your matches – aim for kills and high placements to rack up points quickly.

Hit the point goals – even if you’re not a pro, you can still unlock the emote and back bling just by grinding out points.

Push for leaderboard spots – if you want the outfit and pickaxe, consistency is key across your games.

Weekly Cups Are Here

This isn’t just a one-time event. Epic has confirmed Blitz Mobile Cups will now be a weekly fixture every Thursday, starting August 28th. That means more chances to improve your score and unlock what you might have missed the first time.

Final Thoughts

Fortnite continues to expand how players can earn rewards, and the Blitz Mobile Cup looks like one of the most accessible events yet. Whether you just want a free back bling or you’re chasing the full Nite Unit set, this Cup is worth jumping into.

So, sharpen your aim, keep an eye on your region’s schedule, and get ready to Blitz your way into some exclusive Fortnite loot.
