Fortnite’s brainrot skins for Tung Tung Tung Sahur and Ballerina Cappuccina are about to hit the Item Shop, and the community has already made its feelings very clear. Before the skins have even gone on sale, Ballerina Cappuccina has been voted the lowest-rated cosmetic in the entire history of Fortnite on community tracking site Fortnite.gg, sitting at just 6.78% (67, ironic) positive ratings out of 2,619 votes. Tung Tung Tung Sahur fares slightly better at 17.66% from 2,587 votes, but that still places it firmly among the most disliked skins the game has ever seen.

The skins, which were added to the game’s files with the v40.10 update on 1 April and decrypted by dataminers shortly after, are expected to go live in the Item Shop on 3 April at 8 PM ET. But the backlash was already in full swing long before anyone could actually buy them.

The Lowest-Rated Skin in Fortnite History

Ballerina Cappuccina’s 6.78% approval rating is not just low. It is, according to Fortnite.gg’s ranking data, the worst score any skin has ever received on the site, sitting below thousands of other cosmetics including skins that were deliberately review-bombed for unrelated reasons. In a darkly funny coincidence, that rating percentage mirrors the 67 meme that has become inseparable from the brainrot trend itself.

Tung Tung Tung Sahur lands higher at 17.66%, but “less hated” is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.

Both characters are part of the so-called “Italian Brainrot” meme trend that exploded across TikTok in 2025, featuring AI-generated anthropomorphic characters with text-to-speech narration.

https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Download-2.mp4

Tung Tung Tung Sahur, also known as Triple T, is an anthropomorphic wooden plank wielding a baseball bat, while Ballerina Cappuccina is a humanoid coffee cup in a tutu. Despite the Italian label, the Tung Tung Tung Sahur meme actually originated in Indonesia, referencing the rhythmic drumbeat used to wake people for sahur, the pre-dawn meal during Ramadan.

https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Download.mp4

A Community Already on Fire

The negative reception is not happening in a vacuum. Fortnite’s playerbase was already frustrated with Epic Games over a series of recent decisions that have eroded goodwill heading into Chapter 7 Season 2. The company laid off over 1,000 employees, including the designer behind Fortnite’s most recognisable character, Jonesy. Fans were further angered when reports emerged that one of the laid-off employees was terminally ill and lost their life insurance as a result.

Epic also increased V-Bucks prices, and reports surfaced that the company was paying millions of dollars for creator maps like Steal a Brainrot while cutting staff. Branded collaborations that would normally generate excitement were instead reframed by fans as wasteful spending. “They did not deserve that much money, that money could have been used on better things,” Fortnite influencer SypherPK said during a late March livestream, referring to monetised user-created maps.

Why AI-Generated Skins Hit a Nerve

The brainrot characters are not from a traditional entertainment franchise. They are memes built almost entirely with generative AI, and that distinction matters to a large portion of the Fortnite community. While the actual Fortnite skins themselves were modelled by Epic’s artists, the source material is AI-generated, and for fans who just watched over a thousand human developers lose their jobs, the optics are grim.

“One thousand people lost their jobs for this,” reads one popular Reddit post featuring a brainrot character holding up the 6-7 meme.

One thousand people lost their jobs for this
FortNiteBR

Commenters acknowledged that Epic likely planned these collaborations well in advance, but the critique was never meant to be literal. For these fans, releasing AI-born characters while reducing the human workforce felt like a statement about where Epic’s priorities lie, intentional or not.

Criticism of Epic CEO Tim Sweeney has also intensified, with fans pointing to the billions spent on legal battles against Apple and Google, which included deliberately getting Fortnite removed from the iOS App Store for four years.

Fans Vow to Hunt Brainrot Players In-Game

The community response has gone beyond negative ratings. Across Reddit and social media, players are pledging to target and eliminate anyone wearing the brainrot skins in matches. In a season themed around picking sides in a factional war, fans say they are setting rivalries aside to unite against what they are calling “Team Brainrot.” Others are urging each other not to spend V-Bucks on the skins at all, with some threatening to drop the game entirely.

Whether that translates into a real impact on Epic’s bottom line is another question. According to Fortnite.gg, April’s peak player count is currently sitting at roughly half of what it was at the same point last year. The month is still young, and Epic has updates in the pipeline including a Toy Story collaboration and the long-awaited Arenas mode arriving on 9 April. But if brainrot skins were divisive enough to push frustrated players over the edge, it may take more than upcoming crossovers to bring them back.

What the Brainrot Set Includes

The full Brainrot cosmetic set consists of seven items, based on dataminer decryptions from the v40.10 update files. Each skin can be purchased individually or as part of a discounted bundle. Epic has not confirmed official pricing, but estimates based on standard bundle discount structures suggest the following:

Item

Expected Price

Tung Tung Tung Sahur Skin

1,500 V-Bucks

Ballerina Cappuccina Skin

1,500 V-Bucks

Pickaxes

800 V-Bucks each

Weapon Wrap

500 V-Bucks

Full Brainrot Bundle

~3,300 V-Bucks (estimated 40% discount)

Some outlets have speculated that Epic could price the set lower than usual given that the characters are not tied to a major intellectual property. The skins also come with meme-inspired emotes, including the 6-7 gesture.

Brainrot’s Popularity Versus Its Reception

The irony of the backlash is that brainrot content is demonstrably popular within Fortnite itself. The Steal the Brainrot creative map is one of the most-played user-created experiences in the game, consistently pulling hundreds of thousands of players. That engagement is almost certainly why Epic pursued the collaboration in the first place.

But there is a gap between enjoying brainrot memes in a free creative map and paying 1,500 V-Bucks for an AI-derived skin during a period of mass layoffs and price increases. For the most vocal portion of Fortnite’s community, the brainrot skins have become a symbol of everything they feel has gone wrong with Epic’s direction, regardless of whether the collaboration was planned months ago. Whether the silent majority votes differently with their wallets when the skins actually go live remains to be seen.

Announced via Fortnite’s official channels, the update confirms Sung Jinwoo, Cha Hae-in, and Igris have arrived as part of the Solo Leveling: ARISE collaboration.

Solo Leveling: ARISE Characters Join Fortnite

The crossover is built around Solo Leveling: ARISE, the action RPG adaptation of the globally popular Solo Leveling series. Front and centre is Sung Jinwoo, the Shadow Monarch, now reimagined as a Fortnite Outfit.

What’s Included In The Solo Leveling: ARISE Bundle

The Solo Leveling: ARISE bundle groups together a wide range of themed cosmetics drawn directly from the series’ lore and weapons.

Included in the bundle are:

• Sung Jinwoo
• Godly Statuette
• Venom Fang & Knight Killer
• Blood-Red Commander Igris
• Shadow Shift
• Igris’ Cloak
• Demon King’s Longsword
• Cha Hae-In
• Wings of Light
• Sword of Light
• Shadow Summoner
• S-Rank Scent
• Kaisel
• Kamish’s Wrath

The Item Shop listing confirms the bundle is only available for a limited time, giving players a clear window to decide whether to grab the full set or individual cosmetics separately.

How This Fits Into Fortnite’s Ongoing Anime Strategy

Fortnite has steadily expanded its anime and manga collaborations over the past few years, and Solo Leveling: ARISE continues that approach. Rather than a one-off character drop, this crossover leans heavily into franchise identity, with signature weapons, shadows, and visual effects tied closely to Sung Jinwoo’s progression in the series.

With the Fortnite Solo Leveling: ARISE crossover now live, it adds another high-profile anime IP to the game’s growing list of collaborations. Given how quickly previous anime skins have rotated out, players interested in the Shadow Monarch and his allies may not want to wait too long before jumping in.

The original Fortnite x KPop Demon Hunters collaboration launched in October 2025 and was widely viewed as a success. It introduced stylish skins, themed emotes, Jam Tracks, and Mythic weapons tied to the Netflix film.

Momentum around the crossover picked up again after the song Golden won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media. With interest in the franchise renewed, Epic appears to be capitalising while attention is high.

Sources note that the turnaround between Wave 1 and Wave 2 is relatively fast by Fortnite crossover standards, but consistent with Epic’s approach when a collaboration performs well.

Leaked Content Expected In Wave 2

According to the leaker, Wave 2 will shift focus toward characters from the rival group Saja Boys, who played antagonistic roles in the film. Fan favourite Jinu is expected to headline the new cosmetic lineup.

Leaks suggest the following additions are planned for Wave 2:

New KPop Demon Hunters skins based on Jinu and the Saja Boys

Emotes inspired by KPop choreography

Jam Tracks featuring Golden and How It’s Done

A Sidekick cosmetic based on Derpy

The return of KPop Demon Hunters Mythic weapons

While none of these details have been officially confirmed, the same leakers accurately detailed Wave 1 content ahead of its release.

Will Wave 1 Skins Return To The Item Shop?

With Wave 2 reportedly launching soon, there is strong expectation that cosmetics from the first wave will also return. The HUNTR/X group, Mira, Zoey, and Rumi, has been absent from the Item Shop for over a month.

Epic Games typically re releases earlier cosmetics when a second wave of a crossover launches, giving players another chance to pick up previously missed skins. If the pattern holds, Wave 1 items should rotate back into the shop alongside the new content.

When To Expect An Official Announcement

At the time of writing, Epic Games has not confirmed a release date or detailed the contents of Wave 2. However, multiple sources agree that the crossover is scheduled to arrive later this week, with a formal announcement expected shortly before launch.

Players are advised to keep an eye on Fortnite’s official social channels for confirmation, item previews, and shop rotation details as the update approaches.

A Surprise Reveal That Stunned the Fortnite Community

Fortnite has pulled off another curveball, announcing that Kim Kardashian is the next major celebrity joining the Icon Series. The news landed suddenly on December 10, sending social media into a frenzy as players tried to wrap their heads around the reality star’s arrival in the battle royale.

see you in @Fortnite 👀 pic.twitter.com/8EYYPga8pg

— Kim Kardashian (@KimKardashian) December 10, 2025

The reveal came through a cinematic trailer that introduced Kim Kardashian with a narrated overview of her life, closing with the line, “And now, she’s taking on Fortnite.” From there, fans were shown her in-game Outfit, a range of accessories, and confirmation that this collaboration ties directly into her SKIMS clothing brand.

The crossover continues Fortnite’s ongoing trend of mixing pop culture with gameplay, especially in Chapter 7, Season 1, which has already added Playboi Carti, CouRage, and even Danny Phantom.

First Look at the Kim Kardashian Skins and Cosmetics

Before Epic Games posted the announcement, leakers including HYPEX and ShiinaBR shared early images of Kim’s upcoming Outfits. Moments later, Epic officially confirmed the collaboration across its social channels.

The collection includes three main Kim Kardashian skins, each with a distinct style:

A black SKIMS bodysuit

A white ensemble with a fur coat

A sleek leather suit

Across these, players can swap through more than eight alternate outfit styles, including different hairstyles, bodysuit colours, and an option to add sunglasses. The range of variants is extensive, giving players plenty of freedom to customise their take on Kim.

Epic’s promotional images highlight both glamour and flexibility, reflecting the fashion-focused nature of the collaboration.

Every Cosmetic Item in the Kim Kardashian Fortnite Set

The full Icon Series bundle brings a wide selection of themed accessories. These include:

A private jet Glider

A smartphone and ring light Back Bling

A makeup backpack Back Bling

A purse Pickaxe

A “Break the Internet” Emote inspired by Kim’s 2014 Paper Magazine photoshoot

The emote recreates her famous pose, though Fortnite swaps champagne for a Chug Jug to fit its style and rating. It’s already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about emotes of the season.

This all places Kim alongside other high-profile Icon Series stars such as Eminem, Travis Scott, Doja Cat, and Playboi Carti.

Release Date and Expected Pricing

Epic Games has confirmed that the Kim Kardashian set will land in the Item Shop on Saturday, December 13 at 7 p.m. ET. Players can buy items individually or purchase the full bundle for easier access to every skin and accessory.

While the official prices have not been published, early reports suggest the following:

Kim Kardashian (Fur Coat): 1,500 V-Bucks

Kim Kardashian (SKIMS Suit): 1,500 V-Bucks

Kim Kardashian (Leather Suit): 1,500 V-Bucks

Purse Pickaxe: 800 V-Bucks

Paper Magazine Pose Emote: 500 V-Bucks

Makeup Backpack Back Bling: 400 V-Bucks

Ring Light and Phone Back Bling: 400 V-Bucks

Jet Glider: 1,200 V-Bucks

Bundle pricing remains unknown, but it will likely offer a discount over buying items separately.

Community Reaction: Shock, Memes, and Mixed Opinions

As with any unexpected Fortnite crossover, fan reactions came in fast and loud. Some players embraced the reveal, calling the skin set stylish and predicting it will become a competitive favourite. Others responded with memes or described the collab as one of Fortnite’s strangest yet.

One popular post called it the next big “sweat skin,” while others joked about the Hollywood theme of Chapter 7, Season 1 lining up too perfectly with Kardashian’s arrival.

Regardless of where players stand, the collaboration has already generated massive buzz. With the release date approaching, Fortnite is poised for yet another wave of new and returning players eager to see Kim Kardashian in the Item Shop.
