<p>When bots go bad.</p>
<p><em>Atomic Heart</em> is a first-person shooter game developed and published by Mundfish.</p>
<p>Set in an alternate reality Soviet Union, <em>Atomic Heart</em> takes you on an action filled adventure through a world filled with mystery, danger, and scientific experiments gone wrong. All with a sense of humour.</p>
<p>The game&#8217;s story follows an agent, P-3, tasked with investigating a top-secret research facility where things have gone awry.</p>
<p>But P-3, a war veteran also suffers from memory issues.</p>
<p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-58273" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-2-1.jpg?x67281" alt="Atomic Heart" width="1280" height="720" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-2-1.jpg 1280w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-2-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-2-1-768x432.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p>To start out with all is technology advanced in a idealistic communism nation where robots are there to serve humanity and everything is shiny and happy. but it&#8217;s not too last as the robots become very unhappy due to a malicious scientist that send out a program advising the robots that humans are the enemy.</p>
<p><em>Atomic Heart</em> is filled with intricate, beautifully designed environments that are both eerie and open. The game&#8217;s art style is heavily influenced by the retro-futuristic aesthetic of the Soviet Union, and this is reflected in everything from the game&#8217;s architecture to the technology used by the characters.</p>
<p>Weapons and abilities that P-3 will gain in <em>Atomic Heart</em> is super unique and fits perfectly to this dystopian take of post war Soviet Union.</p>
<p>Your mainstay is your glove. Permanently fixed to your left hand you&#8217;ll use it for many objectives in the game, from opening electronic locks, absorbing data and bursts of EMP. The glove is almost another character in itself.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-58274" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-battle.jpg?x67281" alt="Atomic Heart" width="1631" height="918" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-battle.jpg 1631w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-battle-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-battle-1280x720.jpg 1280w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-battle-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic-heart-battle-1536x865.jpg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1631px) 100vw, 1631px" /></p>
<p>There&#8217;s a variety of weapons and abilities that you will use to take down enemies, with a combination of melee attacks and ranged weapons to fight their way through, at times hordes of enemies, and you&#8217;ll also use a variety of gadgets and special abilities to gain the upper hand in combat.</p>
<p>Weapons can be upgraded depending on how much scrap and metal components you find throughout play.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-58272" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic_heart_robot_boom.0-1.jpg?x67281" alt="Atomic Heart" width="1280" height="853" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic_heart_robot_boom.0-1.jpg 1280w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic_heart_robot_boom.0-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic_heart_robot_boom.0-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/atomic_heart_robot_boom.0-1-360x240.jpg 360w" sizes="(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p>You&#8217;ll encounter a variety of robotic enemies throughout the game, each with its own unique strengths and weaknesses and  can also interact with a variety of AI characters, some of whom may be friendly and helpful, while others may be hostile or untrustworthy.</p>
<p>Overall, <em>Atomic Heart</em> is a fun ride, with enough gadgetry and cyberpunk-like weapons to make it an almost stand-out title.</p>
