The Call of Duty League Championship 2026 is officially heading to Las Vegas, with organisers confirming dates, venue, and a massive $2 million prize pool for the season’s biggest event. The four day tournament will bring the world’s best Call of Duty teams together in July to decide this year’s World Champions.

The announcement was made jointly by ESL FACEIT Group, FaZe Esports, and the Call of Duty League, locking in Las Vegas as the host city for one of the most important weekends on the competitive Call of Duty calendar.

Las Vegas Locked In As Host City

The 2026 Call of Duty League Championship will take place from July 16 to July 19, 2026, at the Michelob ULTRA Arena Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The venue is well known for hosting major esports and live entertainment events, making it a natural fit for the CDL’s season finale.

Las Vegas has increasingly become a regular stop for top tier esports, and this event reinforces its status as a global destination for large scale competitive gaming tournaments.

$2 Million Prize Pool Up For Grabs

All 12 Call of Duty League teams will compete across the four days, with a total prize pool of $2 million on the line. As the Championship event, this tournament represents the final and most important test of the season, where everything comes down to one weekend.

The Championship is widely viewed as the pinnacle of the Call of Duty League season, with teams preparing months in advance specifically for this stage.

ESL FACEIT Group And FaZe Esports Roles Explained

ESL FACEIT Group will serve as the official production partner for the 2026 Championship, handling broadcast, tournament operations, and overall event delivery. EFG has long been involved in high profile esports events through brands such as ESL, FACEIT, and DreamHack.

FaZe Esports will act as the host organisation for the Championship. The group, competing under the FaZe Vegas banner in the Call of Duty League, has a strong competitive history and a large fan following, making them a high profile presence for the event.

Tickets On Sale Now For Fans

Tickets for the Call of Duty League Championship 2026 are already on sale, with registration and event information available through AXS. Fans planning to attend in person are encouraged to secure tickets early, as Championship events have historically sold quickly, especially in destination cities like Las Vegas.

Further details around scheduling, match formats, and on site activations are expected to be shared closer to the event.

A Major Moment For The 2026 CDL Season

With dates, venue, and prize pool now confirmed, teams and fans alike can start counting down to July. The Las Vegas Championship will cap off the 2026 Call of Duty League season and set the tone for how the league continues to position itself among the biggest esports competitions in the world.

More announcements, including broadcast plans and fan experiences, are likely to follow as the Championship draws closer.

Announced on Monday by VALORANT Esports EMEA, the Game Changers EMEA Cash Cups will be open to all eligible teams and players, offering a clearer and more accessible route into the upper tiers of the EMEA ecosystem.

Open Cash Cups Introduced For Game Changers EMEA

The Game Changers EMEA Cash Cups are just around the corner!

Meet the event organizers and learn what’s coming. pic.twitter.com/95cNxdvi4i

— VALORANT Esports EMEA (@vct_emea) January 25, 2026

The newly announced Cash Cups are structured as a monthly open tournament series, with each event featuring a €2,000 prize pool. Unlike closed circuits, the format allows any eligible Game Changers roster in the EMEA region to compete, lowering barriers to entry and increasing match volume for developing teams.

Riot has positioned the Cash Cups as a direct competitive pathway rather than a standalone side event. The open circuit is described as a “road to” the Game Changers EMEA Stage 3 Play-ins, with progression opportunities extending further to the Stage 3 Finals and ultimately the Game Changers Championship.

Clear Pathway Toward Stage 3 And Beyond

By linking the Cash Cups directly to Stage 3 qualification, Riot is formalising a progression system that rewards consistency and performance outside the main seasonal structure. Teams that perform well in the Cash Cups will be able to use the circuit as a launch point into higher-stakes competition, rather than relying solely on limited qualifier windows.

This approach also aligns with Riot’s broader goal of increasing competitive density in the Game Changers ecosystem, ensuring teams gain meaningful experience under tournament conditions throughout the year.

First Three Events And Tournament Organisers Confirmed

Three initial Cash Cup events have already been outlined. The first will be hosted by EVC Tournaments in February, followed by Ready4.gg in March, and King Esport in April. All three will operate under the new Cash Cups format, marking a fresh start for the Game Changers EMEA calendar.

VALORANT Esports EMEA has also teased further details through its official channels, highlighting upcoming clashes, rivalries, and rising stakes across both Game Changers and Challengers competitions, with coverage featuring host HazzaJC.

Riot Highlights Strong Early Interest From Teams

According to Tomek Borowka, Product Manager for VALORANT Esports, early feedback around the Cash Cups has been highly encouraging. He noted strong demand from both tournament organisers and teams looking to compete, reinforcing the need for an open system that better reflects the depth of talent within the region.

Borowka added that the goal is to identify which teams can earn their way into Stage 3 through this new pathway, while continuing to spotlight a scene that is steadily growing and welcoming new talent each year.

What This Means For The Game Changers EMEA Scene

The introduction of open Cash Cups signals a meaningful shift in how Game Changers EMEA competition is structured. With regular events, guaranteed prize pools, and a defined path toward Stage 3, teams now have more consistent chances to prove themselves across the season.

If early interest translates into strong participation, the Cash Cups could become a core pillar of the EMEA Game Changers ecosystem, bridging the gap between grassroots competition and top-tier international events.

The lineup for the first BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals of 2026 is now complete, following a brutal online stage that cut the field from 32 teams down to just eight. With several big names falling early, the road to the LAN finals in Malta has already proven anything but predictable.

Only four top 10 teams managed to make it through, setting the stage for a finals event that feels wide open, and slightly chaotic, heading into late January.

Big Names Fall Short Before Malta

The online phase claimed some major casualties. FaZe, Natus Vincere, and Aurora were among the most notable teams to miss out on qualification, a result that few would have predicted at the start of the tournament.

With those exits, the final eight heading to Malta includes a mix of tournament favourites and lower seeded squads that fought their way through a demanding bracket.

Confirmed Teams For BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals

The eight teams heading to Malta are now locked in:

Vitality

FURIA

HEROIC

Falcons Hit By Last Minute Roster Issue

One of the biggest storylines heading into the LAN finals is the situation surrounding Falcons. The team will be forced to compete with academy player Matej “NucleonZ” Trajkoski standing in for Maxim “kyousuke” Lukin, who is unable to attend due to visa issues.

The roster change adds another layer of uncertainty to a tournament already shaped by upsets, and it remains to be seen how Falcons will adapt on LAN against elite opposition.

Draft Show To Decide Quarter Final Matchups

The four lower seeded teams will each select one of the top seeds as their opponent during BLAST’s live draft show on Wednesday at 02:00. Liquid will have first pick, giving them a key strategic advantage before a single round is played on LAN.

The draft is expected to play a major role in shaping the tournament bracket, especially given the balance between favourites and dark horses this season.

Malta LAN Set For Late January

The BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals will run from January 22 to 25 at BLAST’s studios in Malta. With only a handful of top ranked teams remaining, a live draft deciding matchups, and roster complications already in play, the event is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable CS2 LANs of the early 2026 season.

Three Masters Tour Championships in 2026

The headline change for 2026 is the expansion of the Masters Tour Championship circuit. Instead of two events, there will now be three, thanks to the introduction of the Winter Championship.

That addition brings an extra $50,000 to the overall prize pool, with each Masters Tour Championship offering $50,000 in prize money. Blizzard confirmed the three events will take place across the Winter, Spring, and Summer competitive seasons, giving players more chances to reach the top.

Each season includes its own Playoffs and a Masters Tour Championship. Players can qualify by earning Competitive Points through ranked ladder play or by competing in Open Qualifier tournaments, similar to the 2025 format.

Playoffs Blitz Weekend Debuts

These events will run near the end of each Competitive Season and feature multiple single elimination open tournaments with a lower player cap.

Each Blitz Weekend tournament awards a direct Playoffs spot to the winner, offering a faster, more intense qualification route. Blizzard says this format is designed for players who want serious competition without committing a full day to traditional Swiss style qualifiers.

More Emphasis on Playoffs in 2026

In 2026, players can reach Playoffs through Competitive Points, additional Open Qualifiers, and the new Blitz Weekends.

All three Seasonal Playoffs will also be officially broadcast, ensuring year round Hearthstone Esports coverage for fans watching from home.

Updated Masters Tour Qualification System

Qualification for Masters Tour Championships is also changing. Each season, the top four players from APAC, EMEA, and the Americas will qualify, up from just two per region in 2025.

In addition, the top Competitive Point earner from each region, plus the top global point earner, will also secure a spot. The top three players at every Masters Tour Championship advance to the World Championship, meaning each event will now include a third place match with major stakes on the line.

Hearthstone World Championship Returns at BlizzCon

Sixteen players will compete for a massive $500,000 USD prize pool, with the champion crowned on Sunday, September 13.

The World Championship lineup will include:

Nine players from the top three finishers at each Masters Tour Championship

Four players from China’s competitive system

Three players from the global Competitive Point leaderboard

Whether fans attend in person or tune in online, Blizzard is promising an unforgettable finale to the 2026 season.

A Packed Year Ahead for Hearthstone Esports

With the first Competitive Season starting in January, players will not have long to wait before the action begins. Blizzard encourages competitors and fans alike to stay tuned to official social channels and the Hearthstone Esports Discord for Open Qualifier details and rule updates.

Hearthstone Esports in 2026 looks bigger, busier, and more ambitious than ever, and the road to BlizzCon is officially open.

BLAST has officially revealed the 32 teams set to compete in BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026, marking the first Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 tournament of the new competitive year. With online qualifiers, a high-stakes single-elimination format, and LAN finals in Malta on the line, the event is shaping up to be a fast, unforgiving start to the 2026 CS2 calendar.

A High-Profile Start to the 2026 CS2 Season

BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026 will begin with online qualifiers, before culminating in a LAN finals showdown at the BLAST Studios in Malta. Only eight teams will survive the opening phase, making every match matter from day one.

The tournament features a mix of established champions, rising contenders, and regional hopefuls, all aiming to make an early statement in the new season.

Invitations were issued based on December’s Valve Regional Standings, with FURIA topping the rankings after a strong finish to 2025. The Brazilian side headlines a stacked field that includes some of Counter-Strike’s most recognisable names.

Powerhouse Teams Lead a Stacked Field

Among the favourites are StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 winners Team Vitality, alongside Team Spirit, FaZe Clan, and Team Falcons. Each arrives in Malta with expectations firmly on their shoulders, especially after strong performances late last year.

North America will once again be represented by M80 and Passion UA, both of whom impressed across the three Swiss stages at the Budapest Major. Their inclusion adds extra intrigue to the opening rounds, particularly against Europe’s heavyweights.

Not every top team will be present, however. MOUZ, The MongolZ, G2 Esports, and TYLOO have all declined invitations, opting out of the first BLAST Bounty event of 2026.

How the BLAST Bounty Format Works

BLAST Bounty sets itself apart from other Tier 1 Counter-Strike tournaments through its ruthless format. All 32 teams start in online, best-of-three, single-elimination matches. One loss and a team’s run is over.

Once the field is reduced to eight, the remaining squads will travel to Malta to compete in another single-elimination bracket at the BLAST Studios, where the Season 1 champion will be crowned.

The structure leaves little room for error and promises a packed schedule of decisive matches from the very start.

Full List of BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026 Teams

The online qualifier stage runs from January 13 to January 18, with the overall action beginning on January 12, 2026. The full list of teams competing in the opening phase is as follows:

FURIA

Team Falcons

Announced on December 16, the deal will see complete Secretlab tournament grade setups rolled out across every PGL tournament in 2026, covering main stages, practice rooms, and backstage areas.

A New Standard for Competitive Play in 2026

Under the agreement, all players competing at PGL events will use the Secretlab On-Stage Standard Collection. This setup is designed to help players recreate their exact practice environment on stage, reducing adjustment time and eliminating guesswork between tournaments.

By standardising equipment across all events, PGL wants to ensure teams can focus entirely on performance, rather than adapting to unfamiliar desks or chairs from one venue to the next. The goal is simple, create a seamless experience that supports peak performance at every stop on the circuit.

What’s Included in the On-Stage Standard Setup

The Secretlab On-Stage Standard Collection brings together several of the brand’s flagship products, each built with precision and adjustability in mind.

The Secretlab MAGNUS Pro Sit-to-Stand Metal Desk allows players to fine-tune their desk height down to 1mm, with a height range between 650mm and 1,250mm. Using a built-in control panel, players can quickly dial in the exact height that suits their posture, build, and play style.

Players will also compete on the Secretlab TITAN Evo chair, which features Secretlab’s proprietary ergonomic technologies. Designed for long training sessions and high pressure matches, the chair provides adjustable support to help players stay comfortable and focused throughout competition days.

Rounding out the setup is the Secretlab InfinitePrecision™ Armrest, described as the most advanced armrest the company has ever produced. With millimetre precise height calibration and a digital display, players can replicate the same armrest settings every single time they sit down on stage.

Focus on Consistency and Player Comfort

According to PGL CEO Silviu Stroie, the partnership is about improving the overall experience for everyone involved at PGL events, especially the players.

“Players spend countless hours practising and competing, and having equipment that supports them makes a real difference,” Stroie said. “This partnership is about creating the best possible environment for everyone involved at our events.”

Every player station, from practice rooms to the main stage, will be fully equipped with Secretlab gear. By keeping setups consistent across all locations, PGL hopes to remove unnecessary variables and help players stay locked in from the first match to the final.

Secretlab Expands Its Esports Footprint

For Secretlab, the partnership further strengthens its presence in top tier esports. The On-Stage Standard Collection was launched to help players replicate their home or team practice setups across different tournaments worldwide, and the PGL deal puts that concept into action on a global scale.

With millimetre level precision and repeatable configurations, the collaboration highlights how tournament infrastructure continues to evolve alongside the demands of professional play.

A Busy Year Ahead for PGL

The Secretlab partnership is the latest step in PGL’s push to cement itself as one of the leading tournament organisers in 2026. Earlier this year, the company also partnered with 1xBet as the exclusive betting partner for PGL Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 events through to the end of 2026.

In Counter-Strike 2 alone, PGL is set to host four Tier 1 tournaments between February and October, starting with PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026. The organiser will also run the second CS2 Major of the year in Singapore from November 25 to December 13.

Outside of CS2, PGL will continue its long term commitment to Dota 2, hosting three tournaments in March, April, and November, with events planned through to 2028.

With consistent setups, premium equipment, and a packed calendar ahead, PGL’s partnership with Secretlab looks set to play a key role in shaping the competitive experience throughout the 2026 season.

ESL has officially announced that next year’s Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) event in North America will move from Dallas to Atlanta.
The announcement was made via ESL’s social media channels, confirming that #IEMAtlanta2026 will replace the usual Dallas stop in the Counter-Strike circuit. Ticket sales are already live, with a limited flash sale offering early buyers the lowest prices.

Why the Move from Dallas to Atlanta?

The decision to relocate follows the ongoing renovation of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, which is expected to be completed in 2029. The venue had hosted several successful IEM Dallas editions, but with construction underway, ESL needed a new North American home for 2026.

Atlanta was a natural choice. The city recently hosted DreamHack Knockout 2025, where M80 earned their spot in the ESL Pro League, proving its ability to attract passionate fans and deliver top-tier esports experiences.

A Return to a Legendary CS City

Atlanta isn’t new to the Counter-Strike scene. The city famously hosted multiple ELEAGUE events, including the 2017 Major, where Astralis claimed the first of their four Major titles. With that history, it’s fitting that the city will once again take centre stage for one of CS2’s biggest annual events.

This time, the action will unfold as part of DreamHack Atlanta, blending Counter-Strike with a weekend packed full of gaming culture, cosplay, and other esports showcases, including a Call of Duty Major running alongside IEM.

$1,000,000 on the Line

IEM Atlanta 2026 will feature a $1 million prize pool, following ESL’s familiar structure of two 8-team groups feeding into a 6-team playoff bracket. Eleven of the participating teams will receive direct invitations based on the global Valve Regional Standings (VRS) as of February 2, while the remaining five slots will go to teams from North America, South America, and open qualifiers.

Although the full team list has not yet been revealed, fans can expect to see some of the biggest names in Counter-Strike 2 competing for both prestige and a major share of the prize.

A Busy Year for ESL and IEM

IEM Atlanta is just one of several major Counter-Strike 2 events planned for 2026. ESL will also host tournaments in Krakow, Brazil, and China, alongside flagship competitions such as the Cologne Major and the Esports World Cup.

With so many international events on the calendar, IEM Atlanta will stand as the main North American battleground of the year, keeping the region firmly in the global Counter-Strike spotlight.

What to Expect Next

More details about the team invites, schedule, and broadcast talent will be shared closer to the event. For now, ESL is encouraging fans to secure their tickets early through DreamHack’s website and prepare for what promises to be one of 2026’s biggest esports weekends.

The Complete 2027 Calendar

The newly expanded 2027 schedule will see Counter-Strike action nearly every month of the year.
Strengthening Global Partnerships

PGL’s partnership with Perfect World continues to grow, combining PGL’s international production expertise with Perfect World’s deep understanding of the Asian esports market. Together, the two have consistently delivered world-class tournaments that help bring the Counter-Strike experience to more players and fans around the world.

Their collaboration is seen as a strategic step forward in expanding the competitive reach of Counter-Strike 2, especially across Asia’s fast-growing esports scene.

Community Reactions

Fans have taken to social media and community boards with a mix of excitement and curiosity. Some praised PGL’s “human” approach to events compared to other organisers like ESL or BLAST, while others debated the potential oversaturation of the CS2 calendar.

Still, many welcomed the diversity and opportunity these events bring. As one user commented, “Great news for everyone who likes competition and a healthy open ecosystem.”

Others joked about potential host cities, calling for PGL Istanbul, PGL Prague, or even PGL Ulaanbaatar, reflecting the global hype surrounding the announcement.

What Comes Next

PGL has yet to reveal locations, venues, prize pools, formats, and participating teams for the newly announced events. Those details will be shared over the coming months through PGL’s official social media channels.
