The crossover was officially announced on X (formerly Twitter) with the date September 5, 2025, lining up neatly with the upcoming Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie, which premieres on September 12. The wording strongly hints at a tie-in event, and given that the teaser also shows off the 100 Thieves Compound in Los Angeles, there’s every chance that fans can expect something happening at their massive 15,000-square-foot venue.

Merchandise leak hints at apparel drop

While the announcement itself didn’t reveal specific details, leaks have already given us an early look. Six days ago, streamer daeunttv posted photos thanking 100 Thieves Apparel for sending over the unreleased collection. The images show two Demon Slayer-themed shirts, confirming that merchandise is at least part of the partnership.

This follows a wider trend in esports and anime collaborations. Just last year, Team Liquid worked with Demon Slayer on a full apparel collection, while Cloud9 teamed up with One Piece, and Sentinels dropped a Haikyuu!! collab.

It’s not just esports either. Demon Slayer itself has been everywhere lately, with a Fortnite x Demon Slayer collaboration rumoured to arrive later this season. Between that and the upcoming Infinity Castle movie, it’s safe to say the franchise is having a huge cultural moment.

100 Thieves are no stranger to the anime world either. Back in 2023, they released a Dragon Ball Z-inspired collection, and in 2022 they partnered with Attack on Titan for another limited drop. It’s clear the organisation knows how much anime resonates with the esports community.

Anime and esports go hand-in-hand

These collaborations keep happening for a reason. Both esports and anime share huge overlapping fan bases. From Crunchyroll launching My Hero Academia merch with FURIA and TSM, to the Esports World Cup in Riyadh featuring anime-themed events, the connection between the two scenes just makes sense.

It’s not just esports either. Video games are also jumping on the anime train. PUBG Mobile recently ran an Attack on Titan event, and Overwatch 2 has rolled out anime-inspired skins from One Punch Man, Cowboy Bebop, My Hero Academia, and Gundam.

What to expect from the collab

For now, fans will need to wait until September 5 to get the full reveal of what 100 Thieves x Demon Slayer has in store. With the Infinity Castle movie dropping a week later, and with Aniplex involved, this collaboration looks like it could be more than just another merchandise line.

Whether it’s an event, an apparel drop, or something bigger, one thing’s certain, anime and esports crossovers aren’t slowing down anytime soon.

Fortnite fans might finally be getting the Demon Slayer crossover they’ve been waiting for, and it could be dropping sooner than expected.

Reliable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR has shared that Demon Slayer content may arrive later in Chapter 6 Season 4, which kicked off on 7 August under the theme Shock ‘N Awesome. While Epic Games hasn’t confirmed anything officially, the source of this latest leak has previously been right about multiple collaborations this season and the last, giving fans more reason to believe it could happen.

RUMOR: Demon Slayer may be releasing later this season 🔥

This information is coming from a source that correctly told @blortzen about multiple collaborations for this and the previous season 👀 pic.twitter.com/eeT8PrDtNy

— Shiina (@ShiinaBR) August 24, 2025

Why This Rumour Feels Stronger

ShiinaBR has been teasing the possibility of Demon Slayer skins for nearly a year now, but this time the information lines up with other credible leaks. The source also tipped off fellow leaker Blortzen about several collabs in the past that turned out to be spot-on, including the Halo and Power Rangers cosmetics that launched earlier this season.

That track record makes the timing of this rumour especially interesting. If true, players won’t have to wait too long to see Tanjiro, Nezuko, or other iconic Demon Slayer characters enter the Battle Royale.

The Movie Hype Adds Fuel

The rumour also lands at the perfect moment for Demon Slayer fans. The franchise is hotter than ever thanks to its latest film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns. The movie released in Japan on 18 July 2025 via Aniplex and Toho, with Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Releasing handling international distribution. It’s rolling out across select Asian countries in August before a worldwide release in September.

The film has been smashing records, grossing $203.69 million worldwide in just 69 days, making it the highest-grossing film of 2025 in Japan and the third highest-grossing movie in Japanese history. With that level of hype, Fortnite players have been buzzing for a crossover more than ever, the timing couldn’t be better.

What Else Could Be Coming

Fortnite is no stranger to anime crossovers, Naruto, Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen have all had their turn. According to ShiinaBR, Demon Slayer might not be the only one in the pipeline either. One Punch Man skins are reportedly already sitting in the game files, meaning another anime hit could join the mix soon.

Keep the Salt Handy

As with any leak, it’s worth taking things with a pinch of salt until Epic makes an official announcement. Still, considering Fortnite’s track record with big-name collabs and how reliable these sources have been in the past, the odds of a Demon Slayer crossover happening this season look better than ever.

If it does land before Chapter 6 Season 4 wraps up, it could easily become one of Fortnite’s biggest anime partnerships yet.
