<p>Two New Zealand legends team up to save the biscuit-less world; sportsman Steve Hansen (Head Coach for the NZ National Rugby Team) and well known stunt woman Zoë Bell (Deathproof) to save mankind.</p>
<p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-26439" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Steve-Hansen.jpg?x59030" alt="" width="1280" height="616" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Steve-Hansen.jpg 1280w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Steve-Hansen-300x144.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Steve-Hansen-768x370.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Steve-Hansen-1024x493.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p>On a Mad Max styled crumb trail across the nation the mighty and fearless duo need to find missing portions of a map printed on the back of a till receipt, the second part being mysteriously tattooed on Zoë&#8217;s lower back and the third&#8230; well.</p>
<p>This map will lead them to cookie salvation, the last biscuit hoard in the country, possibly in the world.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-26436" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Gamer-CloseUp.jpg?x59030" alt="" width="1280" height="637" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Gamer-CloseUp.jpg 1280w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Gamer-CloseUp-300x149.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Gamer-CloseUp-768x382.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Gamer-CloseUp-1024x510.jpg 1024w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Gamer-CloseUp-480x240.jpg 480w" sizes="(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p>Of course it&#8217;s not as simple as it sounds and they are met with all manner of bemusing obstacles and an Evil Overlord that must be defeated.</p>
<p>How the apocalypse actually started is unknown but the most popular theory is that it was caused by video gamers, this comes through as back-story as the hilarious animated and live action plays out via Hansen and Bell.</p>
<p>Being a promo film for Arnott&#8217;s, it is easy to forget that it is intended to give exposure to Arnott&#8217;s biscuits range as the film does exceedingly well at pulling you in &#8211; and being a short (it&#8217;s around 6 minutes long) it&#8217;s all over before you know it and you are left wanting more.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-26438" src="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Shapes-CloseUp.jpg?x59030" alt="" width="1280" height="648" srcset="https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Shapes-CloseUp.jpg 1280w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Shapes-CloseUp-300x152.jpg 300w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Shapes-CloseUp-768x389.jpg 768w, https://www.shanethegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Shapes-CloseUp-1024x518.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px" /></p>
<p>Absolutely the Arnott&#8217;s Apocalypse with Steve Hansen short film is fuelled with kiwi humour that locals to New Zealand will appreciate, aswell as international viewers who have warmed up to New Zealand&#8217;s dry humour since the US airing of Flight of the Concords television series some years back.</p>
<p>A superb film, forget that it&#8217;s a promo, it is and it isn&#8217;t. I tended to see it with the view of being an enjoyable ride with product placement &#8211; and we see product placement in everything we watch anyway.</p>
<p>A purely masterful and fun piece of professional indie filmmaking produced by Y&amp;RNZ and Curious Films that will leave you hoping for a sequel.</p>
<p>And remember, <strong>Don&#8217;t Lose Your Biscuit</strong>.</p>
