A New Month, A New Line-Up

Sony has officially revealed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for November 2025, and it’s shaping up to be a strong mix of charm, chaos, and competition. From feline adventures in neon-lit alleys to high-octane rally racing and absurd physics-based battles, there’s something for everyone.

Starting Tuesday, November 4, PlayStation Plus members can download Stray, EA Sports WRC 24, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS) across PS4 and PS5. The titles will remain available until December 1, 2025.

If you haven’t yet claimed Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3, or Cocoon from October’s line-up, you’ve got until November 3 to add them to your library.

Stray – A Cat’s Tale in a Cyberpunk World

(PS4, PS5)

Once again, the beloved orange cat takes centre stage. Stray, developed by BlueTwelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive, is a third-person adventure that lets players explore a decaying cybercity through the eyes of a stray cat.

Lost, alone, and searching for a way home, the cat must navigate neon-drenched streets filled with robots, strange creatures, and hidden mysteries. Along the way, your drone companion B-12 helps translate robot chatter, open doors, and fend off lurking threats.

What made Stray a global hit back in 2022 wasn’t just its premise but its emotional storytelling and atmospheric world. Inspired by Hong Kong’s Kowloon Walled City, every alleyway and neon sign feels alive. Critics praised its heartfelt narrative, intricate art design, and evocative soundtrack, earning it the Best Independent Game award at The Game Awards 2022 and multiple BAFTA nominations.

For anyone who missed this modern indie classic, its inclusion in November’s PS Plus line-up is the perfect excuse to finally play one of gaming’s most talked-about adventures.

EA Sports WRC 24 – Master the Rally Stage

(PS5)

From the developers behind the Dirt Rally series, EA Sports WRC 24 puts players behind the wheel of the official FIA World Rally Championship. Built on over 25 years of Codemasters’ rally heritage, this entry is the most authentic rally simulation yet.

Featuring cars and drivers from the WRC, WRC2, and Junior WRC categories of the 2024 season, players can tear through over 200 stages across 18 real-world rallies, with new locations like Latvia and Poland joining the roster.

The game includes several modes for both newcomers and veterans:

Career Mode for full-season progression

Builder Mode to create your dream rally car

Moments Mode recreating historic WRC highlights

Multiplayer for cross-platform racing up to 32 players

With realistic handling, dynamic weather, and terrain systems that demand precision, WRC 24 rewards skill and consistency. While it had some technical hiccups at launch, updates have improved stability, making this one of the best rally experiences available on console.

For motorsport enthusiasts, it’s a must-play addition to the November line-up.

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator – Pure, Wobbly Chaos

(PS4, PS5)

If you prefer something lighter (and wobblier), Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS) delivers endless laughs. Developed by Landfall Games, this physics-based strategy title lets you create hilariously chaotic battles between red and blue armies composed of the most bizarre units imaginable.

From ancient warriors to fantasy creatures, over 100 units across 14 factions are available, including vikings, samurai, knights, skeletons, and more. You can also build your own fighters using the Unit Creator or challenge friends in online multiplayer.

Each clash unfolds with absurd, unpredictable physics as units tumble, flail, and flop their way to victory. The result is less a serious strategy game and more a sandbox of pure comedy and creativity.

TABS has been praised for its humour, replayability, and accessible design, building a dedicated community since its full release in 2021. Whether you want to pit cavemen against tanks or watch woolly mammoths fly into the air, the fun never stops.

Last Call for October’s Games

Before November’s trio arrives, make sure to grab Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3, and Cocoon before they leave the service on November 3.

PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium members can download all three November games from November 4 to December 1, 2025.

A Balanced Line-Up for Every Player

Sony’s November PS Plus selection is impressively diverse. Stray offers heartfelt exploration, EA Sports WRC 24 fuels adrenaline junkies, and TABS delivers unfiltered fun. Whether you’re looking for an emotional journey, a competitive challenge, or a good laugh, this month’s lineup ensures your PlayStation library is anything but dull.

Codemasters’ flagship racing F1 racing series, continues to provide the definitive take on the Formula One Championship.

There is no sport quite as glamorous as Formula One. F1 24 complements the iconic motorsports championship with a similar level of polish and finesse.

Since 2010 Codemasters have been producing Formula One racing games for Windows PC, as well as Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Bringing over technology from its Dirt Rally games, Codemasters secured itself as the master of the racing game. Now under the wing of EA Sports, Codemasters continues its legacy with the 2024 Formula One season.

F1 24 is packed with ways to play. As well as the 2024 F1 season you can also race the F2 2023 season.

The career mode allows you to jump right into Formula One or work your way up from Formula Two. You can also set up your championship, choosing to have practice sessions and qualifying or just jump straight in. Then there are time trials and quick races and a whole raft of multiplayer championships and competitions.

The game adapts a role-playing game style of play with upgrades and accolades earned during races. This is particularly prevalent in the F1 World section of the game which features a campaign of sorts that allows players to experience the game’s many different modes from multiplayer to arcade races.

The standout feature of F1 24 is the way that it caters for a wide audience. Newcomers can enjoy the game with a gamepad just as much as those with a full racing set-up. There are a host of assists like racing line, braking and even steering to help newcomers get into the game. There’s also a flashback facility to rewind the race if you make a mistake.

The game plays well on PlayStation 5, offering console owners a full Formula One experience. The PC version not only performs well on a high-end gaming rig but also on lower-spec machines, including portable gaming PCs. F1 24 ran flawlessly on a ROG Ally. The game has full support for Nvidia’s DLSS, Intel’s XeSS and AMD’s FSR2 to get the maximum performance across a range of PC hardware.

PC gamers with VR kits get to play the game in the absolute best way possible, especially if you have a wheel as well. Codemasters do like to treat VR gamers with dedicated virtual reality compatibility in its racing games. The WRC rally game is next-level VR, as is F1 24.

If you have a beefy PC and are a fan of F1 get yourself a Meta Quest 3 and prepare to be blown away by a racing experience that only be beaten by getting in the cockpit of a real F1 car.

The only issue with F1 24 is that it is a victim of its own success.

Like all annually iterative games, F1 24 feels very much like its predecessor. It’s had a polish-up, particularly with the driver models. The tracks have been updated as have the teams, and, of course, the cars. When you are racing around the track, though, it still feels just like F1 23. But that doesn’t make the game bad. It is superb. Sure, the menus and modes suffer from EA’s corporate fingerprints, but anyone who plays EA’s otherwise impeccable sports games will have long got over that. It’s just unless you are a huge fan, or you’ve not played an F1 game in a while it’s not exactly a must-buy if you’ve got F1 23.

Outstanding visuals, and a multitude of game modes (albeit tied up in a sometimes confusing menu system) make F1 24 the best Formula One game I’ve played. It’s accessible and feature-packed offering good value for money on any system, PC VR in particular.

So far, the Formula One 2023 season has been entirely predictable.

Max Verstappen takes pole in qualifying, then races off into the sunset leaving a trail of cars in his wake. So while the masterful Dutch driver has made the World Driver and World Constructor Championship something of a non-event before the season is halfway done, the F1 23 game by series veterans Codemasters is anything but a non-event.

A significant upgrade over the maligned F1 22, F1 23 rectifies nearly everything that made that game unloved while introducing new concepts and modes to keep players better engaged.

The improvements over last year’s entry starts with the story mode, Braking Point. Braking Point is back this year as Braking point 2 after a conspicuous absence from the 2022 release. As a direct sequel to the 2021 entry, it covers not only the 2023 season but also a large portion of the 2022 one as well. And it’s better than I thought, with its Drive to Survive-inspired dramatic narrative pairing well with getting you into interesting race scenarios.

A pitstop gone wrong, or a recovery drive after damage between teammates for example keep this mode more interesting than a simple “race to win” type of progression. There’s even a dose of F2 racing thrown in there for good measure (I still hate downshifts in those cars, and nothing has changed this year in that regard).

My only real complaint with this mode is that the “normal” difficulty setting is insultingly easy. I could pull multiple second gaps per lap on my rivals, making goals such as “finish the race in 8th place or higher” meaningless as I was finishing first more often than not.

For me, F1 World was the more interesting of the modes. It subsumes some of the more standard modes such as time trials and the standalone Grand Prix session, and adds a wrapper of challenges and upgrades designed to keep you more engaged. Like with Braking Point 2, I enjoyed the various challenges it threw up, and moreso than the main narrative, made me feel like I could improve my driving skills overall. Challenges are not usually very long, so if I logged on to the game and wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, then F1 World was where I ended up more often than not.

But what about the racing itself?

It is no secret that F1 22 was generally unfavoured for its on-track handling, particularly with traction around corners. I’m pleased to say that developers Codemasters have fully taken on board the concerns of players and overhauled the previous system with a new one that provides much more grip. This lets you take corners with far more confidence and at higher speeds. There are trade offs however, with additional changes to how tyre works and other alterations to the driving experience to the extent that it took me quite a while to adapt to the new game. Going back to F1 22 feels far more like a foreign country than I expected. But soon I was getting back to my own (mediocre) track times and overall feel like this is many steps forward compared to the previous entry.

One thing that is unfathomable for me for the F1 23 release is the lack of PSVR2 support for the PlayStation 5 version of the game. The PSVR2 is an extremely capable headset and it seems eminently possible that the PlayStation 5 has the grunt to run the game at a decent frame rate and resolution within the headset. Why this feature continues to be locked to the PC release remains a mystery to me – this could be a killer feature for deciding between each console release (perhaps this is the explanation).

Gran Turismo 7’s VR mode is truly excellent, and has quickly become the only way to play that game for me, and the potential is there for F1 23 too.

On PC, the bevy of ray tracing features from previous entries has been expanded to include direct global illumination. Turning all these features on dramatically improves the quality of the game experience, though I did experience some bugs with ray-traced shadows not working correctly that I hope are fixed soon. On PC, with all the dials cranked on a 4K screen alongside the improvements to visual quality make this version quite the experience, and a step above even the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions, which see their own improvements to visuals over F1 22.

On consoles you do get a performance and graphics mode, targeting 120FPS and 60FPS respectively. 120FPS for a fast-paced racing game is excellent, and is my recommendation for anyone playing with a compatible TV – the hit to native resolution is well worth it.

There are improvements to racing with a controller too, with attention paid to making this a better-feeling experience for those unable or unwilling to use a wheel. And while this is welcome, I still felt like using a controller was like trying to write with the top end of a pen – technically possible but ultimately not the optimal way to play the game. I highly suggest even an entry level wheel for those diving into the game for the first time or those wanting to get a bit more serious.

F1 23 is a solid release with serious year-on-year upgrades that consciously corrects the mistakes of last year’s game. While it continues to be festooned with fundamentally unnecessary battle passes, cosmetics and supercar modes, the core experience of the game has received an uplift that makes it standalone as a worthy upgrade to last year’s entry or those before the ground effect regulations came into effect. The new story mode is decent and F1 World is a surprise delight. Now, I’m just waiting for an update that brings Ricciardo back into Nyck de Vries’ newly-vacated AlphaTauri seat…

For the second Formula One game under EA Sports’ stewardship, Codemasters drop the ’20’ to simply give us F1 22.

But it’s not just the name format that’s changed. EA Sports iterative sport games are a license to print money. Each year, dedicated fans splash out cash for the new games that usually feature a slight graphical scrub up, refined physics, new teams, liveries, strips, uniforms, players, drivers, tracks, stadiums and rules. To the casual observer, each iteration looks eyebrow raisingly about the same as the last.

Of course, that’s not the case otherwise fans wouldn’t buy them and EA Sports titles wouldn’t be the best-sellers that they are each year.

With their Formula One games, Codemasters peaked with their graphical prowess a couple of years back. And, as you’d expect, F1 22 still looks utterly amazing. The cars, the circuits, the crowds all look superb.

The other important aspect of the game that, again, Codemasters have refined to perfection is the car handling.

Gone is the snatchy handling of the earlier games. Of course, a racing wheel is preferable, but even when using a game controller, inputs are positive and you really feel in control of the powerful cars.

The breakneck speeds and technical circuits create a very hazardous driving environment the requires precision and discipline. With the numerous driver assists turned off, its not an easy game, but never once did I feel myself fighting against the controls. All my crashes were of my own doing.

A perfect lap, is still so satisfying. F1 22 adds quite a few features. The “F1 Life” driver and lounge area customization was wasted on me. Why anyone would want to dress up their driver like a Barbie Doll or use the game for interior decorating is beyond me.

The game is riddled with microtransactions with in-game currency (that can be topped up with real money) mainly unlocking cosmetics.

Whilst I’m not a fan of this sort of thing, its easily ignored.

There are some supercars that you can add to your garage and even take for a race around the circuits. This was interesting, although the Aston Martin wasn’t really tuned for the Formula One circuits making the experience a little frustrating. The whole F1 Life feature is a curious addition, though, to be honest.

On the more positive side, year’s game also boasts updated physics, safety cars pitstops and formation laps. The game has a beefy list of racing modes for players to choose from. They are all based around the 23 real Formula

One circuits included in the game, but offer a bit of gameplay variety. As well as the teams and drivers from the Formula One 2022 season, the game also features the same from the Formula Two 2021 season.

The game features a single and two-player career mode allowing friends to race together or against each other. Players can choose to race for a real F1 teams or create their own.

The solo mode allows players to make their own custom Grand Prix championship, partake in time trials and try their hand at the Pirelli hot lap challenges. The Pirelli hot laps feature supercars rather than Formula One cars and require players to maintain set speeds, do some drifting, race through checkpoint navigate though cones and compete in head-to-head duels.

The multiplayer options let players compete in social and ranked races, take part in weekly events and create or join leagues. The game even caters for split screen and LAN multiplayer. For many, this community aspect of the game will be the reason to sign on for this 2022 edition.

For PC owners, especially those that REALLY want to feel immersed into what it’s like to drive an Formula One car, EA Sports and Codemasters have cranked things up to 11.

They dabbled before with the likes of Dirt Rally, but for F1 22, for the very first time, players can experience the entire game in virtual reality. Owners of a suitably-powerful PC and a compatible Oculus, Index or Vive VR
headset can experience the game in VR.

I tested the game with a Vive Pro 2 VR headset. The PC was running an Intel Core i9 12900K in an MSI Z690 Carbon WIFI motherboard with 32GB of PNY DDR5 memory and a PNY RTX 3090 GPU.

The above spec ran the game easily at max setting in 4K, but VR is a resource-hungry experience known to bring even the most powerful machine to their knees. Thankfully, Codemasters’ optimised VR code made the game run blisteringly fast.

In VR, the menu screens are still flat, like on a projector screen. It’s only once in a race that the 3D world envelopes the player in immersive VR. The game places the player in the cockpit of a Formula One car for a racing experience matched only by the likes of the Project CARS games.

The Project CARS developer, Slightly Mad Studios was acquired by Codemasters in 2019, and is perhaps a
catalyst for this VR mode.

Playing F1 22 in VR is the next best thing to actually racing in a Formula One car. It’s absolutely breathtaking and almost overwhelming. Virtual Reality transforms F1 22 from a game into a Formula One simulator. With my Thrustmaster T300RS I was transported into a Formula One car.

The level of immersion and depth perception gave me a better “feel” for the car, allowing for more precise and cleaner racing. It felt more like driving the car rather than controlling the car.

The whole F1 22 VR experience is incredible and thoroughly recommended. Its so far removed and immersive compared to the console or PC-with-monitor gameplay that its almost another game entirely.

For F1 fans getting the game is a no brainer. On the surface, it may seem tweaked iteration of last years game. It’s got a bit more polish and the handling feel a bit tighter, but still as unforgiving. The driver AI seems a little sharper as well.

For me though, it’s the VR implementation is what makes the game. For PC owners with a decent VR set-up F1 22 is a great game that is made into something amazing in VR. PC VR racing fans should not miss out on buying this game.

For everyone else, this is a solid Formula One offering that ticks all the right boxes. The comprehensive solo gameplay along with robust multiplayer options makes F1 22 the complete package.

KT Racing go all out next-gen with WRC 10. The veteran rally game franchise finally gets the makeover it deserves.

For me, the WRC games have always been overshadowed by the polished visuals of Codemasters with its Dirt games. Whilst the WRC franchise has presented itself as a series of licensed pure rally games, the graphics have been a bit lacking. The visuals were a stark contrast to the racing physics which have always been superb if a little unforgiving.

For WRC 10, KT Racing has ticked all the boxes.

WRC 10 is a big game with a lot to offer players. The game is packed with modes both online and offline. Players can join time-limited online events, competing against others to get to the top of the leaderboard.

Solo options range from a quick race to a full career. The career mode has players managing the crew as well as driving in the rally stages. There is a choice of which championship to join: the Junior WRC, driving a FWD Ford Fiesta, or the WRC3 with its 4WD cars.

The game recommends the Junior WRC for novices. To unlock the WRC3 players must complete a fairly easy test drive to attract a sponsor and proceed. Junior WRC has no requirements but a less powerful car. Both modes allow players to manage the team and enter rallies around the world.

Players who want to drive without having to mess about with the team management aspect of the game can do so in the season mode.

There’s also a 50th Anniversary mode that lets players experience some of the historic WRC events starting with the first WRC rally in 1973 through the Greek countryside in a classic Renault Alpine.

Multiplayer is catered for with clubs and online rallies. There is even the opportunity to co-op with driver and co-pilot teams. Local split-screen multiplayer is also included.

Drivers can further refine their skills by taking on challenges and trying the training circuits. If you just want to drive around, there’s a whole area to drive around that includes public roads and gravel tracks.

I’m not sure if it’s the additional power of the next-gen consoles that’s enabled KT to finally realise their WRC game, but it wouldn’t surprise me. The game perfectly captures the varied rally environments, allowing players to drive without screen tears or stutters.

The cars are very detailed, but not quite up to the standard of the Forza games or Gran Turismo. The car physics are, however, still very realistic.

Players expecting an arcade racer will be sorely disappointed. WRC 10 is unforgiving. And that’s being generous. The game expects players to put in the effort to master the art of rally driving. This means lots of crashes until you get used to the light, twitchy steering of the cars. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t curse at the screen a few times.

Driving full-throttle is not going to work. I had to slowly get up to speed over multiple stages as I got used to the cars’ performance. Better to go slow that careen of the road. It requires quite a lot of discipline to cool your cool.

It’s also essential to listen to your co-driver’s warnings about the upcoming road. It helps if you can remember you left from your right under pressure (something I’ve had trouble with since my driving lessons thirty years ago).

The game makes full use of the PlayStation 5’s DualSense dynamic adaptive triggers allowing me to really feel the brakes. The haptic feedback also means every knock and scrape is also felt via the controller. Playing with a controller is perfectly fine, but I found the use of a racing wheel that bit better as it felt more like driving a real car, giving me a bit more restraint.

The rally stages look great, capturing the landscape of the host countries. The visuals themselves are a big step up from the so-so graphics of the previous games. The game can be played from a third-person, behind the car view, in the cockpit, from a bonnet camera, or straight-up first-person.

From within the car, the engine sounds amazing. Each car seems to have a different engine note. The realistic audio is even more important if you opt for manual gears (which you should), giving authentic cues for shifting.

The game features the12 rallies of the 2021 season plus extra rallies that add a further three countries, Chile, Greece, and New Zealand. The stages vary from asphalt, gravel, and even snow. Some of the locations are quite fast, but others are fraught with potholes and boulders.

WRC 10 FIA World Rally Championship represents a new beginning for the series. It’s a game that looks great, able to stand head-to-head with the more arcade racers out there but bringing realistic and unforgiving car handling that requires discipline and practice to master.

Gear up and grind the gravel, DiRT Rally is back.

And back in style it is to the likes of an ode to rally history and a loving nod to the man himself, Colin McRae the rally champion and who was originally the namesake of the series.

Still with the original developers, Codemasters take shotgun and offer up the most comprehensive rally game there has ever been.

DiRT Rally 2.0 comprises of both online and offline play.

First up though you will need to create your own Champion, from gender through to ethnicity, nationality and driver number.

Then you’re good to push pedal to the metal in the main modes on offer.

My Team has a set of events and challenges for online play. DiRT Rally 2.0 also features a career management system, and while your own driver career takes off you will accumulate your own crew. The main menu is where you can hire new team members or train the existing ones.

Garage is exactly what it sounds like – your available vehicles and give them a bit of a do-over or fix up.

Freeplay mode is where the action is at having pretty much all of the play modes including Free Roam and more.

Time trial, under Free Play mode, will give you the much required ‘practice’ and tuning in to how the real world physics of each vehicle behaves on gravel, mud, tar-seal and other terrains. Also a good place to skill up on some of the more trickier tracks.

It is also within the Freeplay section where you can create your own races, custom events and championships, pitting yourself against real-world players in your created race within a lobby or go against the game’s A.I. If you’re not ready to tackle an event of your own making, find one that has been created by another real world player.

Also in this mode is Racenet, a Codemaster initiative for online community based racing and new updates.

If you’ve jumped on to the Freeplay mode and think that you have what it takes off the bat – there are alot of Team Offers to be had in the officially licensed FIA World Rallycross Championship.

Still within Freeplay is the best option of all – Historic. Timewarp back to the 60s and 70s glory days of Mini Coopers, Lancia, Citroen and more – all based off the real world vehicles as they were three to four decades ago.

Moving on is the Colin McRae game mode. A fitting and loving tribute to the late World Rally Champion; Colin McRae (1968 – 2007).

DiRT Rally 2.0 does have in-game purchases, but these are optional and not a requirement to play the game to it’s fullest.

Each of the included 50 vehicles and liveries are licensed and meticulously recreated visually and physically from their real world counterparts with a unforgiving damage system.

Tracks vary as you globe trott from New Zealand to Spain to all of the four corners of the Globe amidst varying weather conditions and unexpected environmental hazards.

I’ve felt that recently real racer gamers have been left out in the dirt as far as a unforgiving realistic racing title goes in the more recent releases from the last year or so.

DiRT Rally 2.0 is absolutely the fullest most indepth Rallycross to date and is a sure bet for petrolhead gamers out there aswell as Rally fans.

GRID strikes the perfect balance, offering risk and reward for every type of racer. Handling is incredibly responsive with a learning curve that appeals to both casual arcade gamers through to the core simulation racers. Progression is rewarded through liveries, player cards, team mates, achievements and driving accolades. AI drivers push the player to their limits to earn a place on the podium and ultimate victory in the GRID World Series Championship. Realistic damage can affect both the car’s performance and handling and too much contact with the same racer will see them emerge as a nemesis who will stop at nothing to get their revenge in the race.

“Our passionate, knowledgeable community helped to make DiRT Rally a special title. We have been working with a selection of that community alongside a roster of real world rally drivers to ensure that we meet their high standards,” continued Ross. “We are not afraid to make a challenging game. Driving a rally car down a stage is not easy and we want players to experience that same adrenaline rush from driving on the edge.”

Marking a return to the simulation style off road racing that made the original such a hit with gamers, DiRT Rally 2.0 will launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox One X and Windows PC (via Steam) on Tuesday 26th of February 2019.
