Reason Esports have announced that they are parting ways with their Counter-Strike 2 roster, just three months after signing the former Polish M1 lineup.

The decision marks the end of another short-lived chapter for the storied UK organisation, who had hoped to rebuild their legacy in CS2 after years away from the top tier of the game.

A promising signing that never found momentum

Back in July, Reason announced the signing of the Polish squad led by Miłosz “AntyVirus” Konieczka. At the time, the team had earned attention with wins over ECLOT, CYBERSHOKE, and ENCE, sparking optimism that they could rise through the ranks.

Reason’s owner Adam “Blanks” Heath admitted then that the team came with baggage, having faced controversy and accusations around betting-related issues. Still, he defended the move, saying, “As with any team we talk to, we have done an extensive investigation on the team and their matches.”

For the players themselves, it was a chance to step onto a bigger stage. “Joining Reason means a lot for us as we get the opportunity to show ourselves to a bigger audience,” AntyVirus said at the time.

While they did manage wins against Haspers and RUBY, consistency was lacking, and the roster never built the momentum needed to climb further up the VRS ranking.

ESC have been riding a wave of attention after lifting the CCT Season 3 Europe Series 6 trophy, but their hot streak has quickly been overshadowed by controversy and a crushing loss at the hands of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.

The Polish squad looked unstoppable over the past week, claiming their 13th consecutive series win by defeating BetBoom in the CCT final. Dawid “SaMey” Stańczak and his teammates delivered one of their best runs yet, climbing to 33rd in the VRS rankings with wins over the likes of 9INE, FUT, and fnatic. Bartosz “moonwalk” Mikołajczyk was the standout in the final, posting a 1.35 rating and leading ESC to a hard-fought 2–1 victory.

Radar Hack Allegations Emerge

Not long after the celebrations, questions began to surface. Russian player Kirill “Magnojez” Rodnov highlighted several suspicious moments from ESC’s matches against BetBoom and TNL, sharing clips on his Telegram channel. CS2 News later posted the videos on Twitter, sparking debate across the community about whether ESC were using radar hacks.

Some, like former NAVI star s1mple, threw shade by tweeting support for BIG to “escape possible radar hackers.” Others in the scene were quick to dismiss the claims, pointing out that the plays in question could be explained by standard rotations and reads.

As the controversy brewed, ESC’s winning streak came to an abrupt end. Facing BC.Game in the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Cup 2 lower bracket final, they ran into a fired-up s1mple.

The Ukrainian legend delivered a vintage performance, dropping a monster 43–20 scoreline with a 1.81 rating to sweep ESC aside 2–0. The loss ended ESC’s 14-series streak, which stretched back to September 14.
