The 2026 roadmap sets the stage for one of the largest mobile esports circuits of the year, running from February through to November and featuring a total prize pool of $2 million distributed across the season.

How The 2026 Brawl Stars Championship Works

The upcoming season will follow a familiar but refined structure designed to keep the competition accessible while rewarding consistent performance. Players can qualify through the in-game Championship Challenge, where teams must earn 15 wins before suffering three losses to advance.

Teams that clear this stage move on to the Monthly Qualifiers, with the top eight squads progressing to the Monthly Finals. These finals award both prize money and leaderboard points, which play a crucial role in determining qualification for major international events later in the year.

Spring Split And Summer Split Explained

The 2026 season will be divided into two main segments. The Spring Split will run across February, March, and April, followed by the Summer Split taking place in June, July, and August. During each month, teams will compete within their regions to earn points and secure their place in international tournaments.

The Spring Split will culminate in the Brawl Cup, scheduled for May 2026. Meanwhile, the Summer Split will conclude with the Last Chance Qualifier in October, giving teams one final shot at reaching the biggest stage of the year.

LAN Events And World Finals Details

Supercell has confirmed three in-person events throughout the season, all of which will be hosted in locations new to Brawl Stars esports. While specific venues have not yet been announced, the LAN events are set to take place between May and October, leading into the World Finals in November.

The World Finals will once again serve as the climax of the season, bringing together the best teams from around the globe to compete for the largest share of the prize pool.

Prize Pool And Regional Competition

The 2026 Brawl Stars Championship will feature a total prize pool of $2 million, making it one of the most lucrative mobile esports circuits currently running. Prize money will be spread across monthly competitions, international events, and the World Finals.

As with previous seasons, the ecosystem will include five competitive regions, covering EMEA, the Americas, APAC, and China. This regional structure ensures players worldwide have a clear pathway from in-game qualifiers to the highest level of competition.

Brawl Stars Esports Continues To Grow

Following the strong performance of the 2024 World Finals and continued global interest in 2025, Brawl Stars has firmly established itself as one of the leading mobile esports titles. The open qualification system remains a key part of its appeal, allowing everyday players to compete against top-tier teams on the world stage.

In December 2025, Supercell also partnered with BLAST to operate the Brawl Stars esports ecosystem, a move that signals further investment and long-term stability for the competitive scene.

With a clear roadmap, major international events, and millions on the line, the 2026 Brawl Stars Championship is shaping up to be a standout year for mobile esports.

A Surprisingly Quiet Year for Brawl Stars Esports

The Brawl Stars World Finals 2025 have wrapped up in Stockholm, but this year’s event looked very different from the explosive numbers the game enjoyed in 2024. According to Esports Charts, the tournament reached a peak of just over 211,000 viewers, a dramatic fall from last year’s record-breaking 1.1 million peak.

For a title that once sat at the centre of Supercell’s esports push, the sudden drop has raised eyebrows across the community, with many fans and analysts calling it the lowest point the competitive scene has seen in years.

From Stadium Crowds to a Standalone Event

Last year’s World Finals were hosted in Helsinki alongside the Clash of Clans and Clash Royale World Finals, creating a massive shared audience. In contrast, the 2025 event took place as a standalone tournament at DreamHack Stockholm, and that change appears to have had a big impact on reach and visibility.

Despite running nearly twice as long as the 2024 broadcast, the average viewership sat at just 119,035 compared to last year’s 639,209. Even with more airtime, fewer people tuned in, which signals a deeper issue than scheduling alone.

Crazy Raccoon Claim the Trophy

Inside the arena, at least, the action delivered. Japanese powerhouse Crazy Raccoon secured the championship after a dominant win over Italian squad HMBLE. The victory also served as payback for their 2024 defeat, and the team walked away with 40 percent of the 1 million dollar prize pool.

Both CR and HMBLE started their run in the same group, with CR winning the first showdown. Other favourites like SK Gaming and Totem Esports also made it through, setting the stage for what could have been a blockbuster playoff run.

But the knockout bracket didn’t quite live up to expectations. Six of the eight playoff series ended in clean 3-0 sweeps, leaving only two tightly contested 3-2 series. Unsurprisingly, those close matches ranked among the most-watched games of the entire tournament.

YouTube Surges Ahead While Twitch Falls Behind

One of the most surprising trends this year was a complete switch in preferred viewing platforms. YouTube dominated with 147,974 peak viewers, beating Twitch by more than 90,000 users. This is a major reversal from 2024, where Twitch sat comfortably on top with over 900,000 peak viewers.

English and Spanish broadcasts brought in around 50,000 viewers each, while Portuguese reached 39,959 and Japanese streams pulled 35,506, showing a wide spread of interest across regions despite the overall decline.

Why Did Viewership Fall So Hard?

Across community discussions, fans have been vocal about what they believe caused the downturn. Many longtime players argue that Brawl Stars’ focus on frequent collaborations, monetised events, and short-term content has slowly chipped away at the game’s identity. Others blame the lack of bug fixes and quality-of-life updates, claiming the competitive scene has been neglected for years.

There were also complaints about production issues. Streams lagged, matches were interrupted, and at one point officials resorted to showing a player’s iPad feed. These problems piled onto already cooled-off enthusiasm.

Some fans also brought up earlier esports controversies, including the disqualification of pro player Zhar during the March Monthly Finals, which many saw as mishandled and harmful to the scene.

A Wider Issue With Esports Engagement

The decline isn’t unique to Brawl Stars. Industry analysts have pointed out that esports viewership across several titles has plateaued, with oversaturation, changing audience behaviour, and competing entertainment platforms contributing to falling numbers.

Still, the drop in Brawl Stars is among the sharpest this year, especially compared to the hype the title carried in 2024.

Can the Competitive Scene Recover?

Supercell and tournament organisers will need to recalibrate if they want to recover the interest and energy the game once commanded. Fresh formats, better broadcast stability, direct community engagement, and a renewed focus on gameplay polish are all areas fans are calling for.

The Brawl Stars World Finals 2025 delivered strong gameplay from the top teams, but the audience simply wasn’t there. Whether the scene can bounce back in 2026 will depend on how Supercell adapts to a shifting esports landscape and addresses growing player concerns.

Despite the departure, SSG continues to support its players. Daniel “bobby” Levitt, one of Spacestation’s star players, spoke about the situation on X, emphasising that the organisation remains fully committed to its roster.

“They could have treated us badly because Brawl kicked them, but they’re still flying us to Europe early, getting us proper housing and giving us the best chance at Worlds,” Bobby said.

The comment was widely praised by fans, showing appreciation for how SSG handled the transition with professionalism and care.

Looking Ahead to the World Finals

The Brawl Stars World Finals 2025 will take place from November 28th to 30th in Sweden, where Spacestation Gaming will compete one last time under its current banner. The team will be among the top global contenders, eager to close out their partnership era on a high note.

As of now, the Partner Program includes nine organisations: LOUD, Gen.G, Team Heretics, ZETA, NAVI, SK Gaming, Tribe Gaming, Reply Totem, and FUT Esports.

What Is the Brawl Stars Partner Program?

Introduced in 2022, the Brawl Stars Partner Program gives select esports teams a unique in-game presence. Partnered organisations receive their own Pins, Sprays, and Profile Icons, along with a share of the revenue from player purchases.

While several teams have exited over time, new ones have joined to keep the program evolving. Both STMN and Luminosity Gaming also left earlier this year, leaving SSG as the most recent departure ahead of Worlds.

End of an Era

For fans, this marks the end of a memorable chapter in Brawl Stars esports. Spacestation Gaming’s two-year run brought energy, personality, and high-level competition to the scene. Now, as they prepare for the 2025 World Finals, all eyes will be on whether they can make their farewell performance one to remember.
