The monumental fourth and final DLC map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, the best-selling console video game on next generation platforms, Salvation, is now available on PlayStation 4, with other next-gen platforms to follow.  Published by Activision and developed by Treyarch, Salvation delivers the thrilling climax of the Zombies Origins saga plus four exciting multiplayer maps.

“The team at Treyarch has worked tirelessly to make this an incredible year for Call of Duty: Black Ops III players and we hope fans have as much fun playing it as we had making it,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head, Treyarch.  “The release of Revelations has a great deal of sentimental value: it has been an adventure eight years in the making, and a very special journey that we’ve taken with our fans.”

Salvation features Revelations, the finale of the Origins Zombies saga.  In Revelations, this final chapter of the Zombies experience, Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai – having traveled through space and time – finally discover the identity of the mysterious Doctor Monty in The House.  As the heroes face-off against an ancient evil, they must hold the zombie horde back in the ultimate battle between human and undead.

Salvation also includes four new action-packed multiplayer maps set within the ancient walls of a medieval fortress, to the dusty streets of an old-west town.

• Citadel: Once home to a powerful medieval army, this ancient castle now sits broken and abandoned. Tight corners force close-quarters engagements, while the moat and drawbridge allows for unique player movement opportunities in this mid-sized map.
• Micro: What’s better than a BBQ on a hot summer day? A miniaturized war zone that takes place on a well-stocked family picnic table. Navigate this bite-size battlefield for a larger-than-life experience.
• Outlaw: Gear up for a showdown in Outlaw; a western-style re-imagining of the fan favourite map Standoff from Call of Duty: Black Ops II. This rough-and-tough medium-sized map brings classic engagements, flanking routes and strategic positions for long and medium ranged combat.
• Rupture: The Call of Duty: World at War classic Outskirts is re-imagined as a high-tech facility, designed by a futuristic society desperate to repair the Earth’s atmosphere.  Take control of one of the facility’s mechs to unleash a barrage of heavy machine gun and rocket destruction.

Salvation is now available for pre-order on PlayStation 4 at a discounted rate via the Call of Duty: Black Ops III DLC Season Pass, which also features the three DLC Map Packs already released this year or can be purchased individually.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd. (SCEE) has recently announced the future of PlayStation 4 (PS4), with a huge range of exclusive software announcements from both first and third party studios, as well as brand new content announced for PlayStation VR.

On stage at the PlayStation Media Preview in Paris, France, SCEE unveiled new details and PlayStation – exclusive features for over 20 games, with 9 of these newly announced, demonstrating why PS4 is the best place to play this holiday season and beyond.

In addition to this, Jim Ryan, President and CEO of SCEE celebrated twenty years of play and the success of PS4, the fastest selling system in PlayStation history with a global sell-in set at 25.3 million as previously revealed (Number as at June 2015). In addition, he commented on the impressive range of network services offered across the region.

A number of exciting new exclusive games for PS4 were revealed for the very first time, including the latest title from critically acclaimed studio Quantic Dream, Detroit, as well as a brand new racing simulator from Polyphony Digital, GT SPORT. A beta test for GT SPORT was also announced for early 2016.

New footage from other exclusive titles was also shown during the conference, including the multiplayer premiere of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (SCE Worldwide Studios), as well as a look at the gameplay vision for Michel Ancel’s WiLD (WiLD Sheep Studios).

In addition, exclusive content was revealed for the latest installment in one of PlayStation’s most revered franchises, Tekken 7 (Bandai Namco Entertainment), with a launch date provided for Street Fighter V (Capcom). Finally SCEE debuted exciting new downloadable content for PS4 exclusive, Bloodborne (SCE WWS) and, DRIVECLUB BIKES (SCE WWS), which will be available either as a standalone or as an expansion pack.

PlayStation’s enthusiasm for the best games is also shared by the publishers of this holiday’s biggest blockbusters, with downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (Activision Publishing, Inc.) available exclusively for 30 days only on PS4, as well as a partnership with Electronic Arts to release a limited edition Star Wars Battlefront PS4 bundle this November (2015).

Away from PS4 software, SCEE also offered the latest glimpse of PlayStation VR, a breakthrough innovation that will take the PS4 experience to a new level of immersion.

New software for the system was shown, including a global announcement of Until Dawn: Rush of Blood from Supermassive Games as well as never before seen footage of Guerrilla Cambridge’s VR shooter, RIGS and a brand new title from Crytek, ROBINSON: THE JOURNEY partnering the famous CRYENGINE and the PlayStation VR system’s ground breaking technology.  SCEE demonstrated that VR offers a wide variety of completely new experiences above and beyond gaming, by blowing away viewers with a special trailer for the film that’s getting cinema-goers talking: The Walk (Sony Pictures Entertainment).

Demonstrating a clear vision for the future of PlayStation with blockbuster franchises and all new IPs, as well as revolutionary ways to play, the conference demonstrates why PS4 is the best place to play for next year and beyond. Jim Ryan, President and CEO of SCEE, closed the presentation by saying: “PlayStation remains devoted to the Players. We thrive on our ability to delight you with extraordinary games, franchises, and experiences, and we remain focused on providing you the most sought-after exclusive content and breakthrough innovations.”

With a focus on games, SCEE’s PlayStation Media Preview showcased a total of 22 games which are all either exclusive to PlayStation or feature exclusive content.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer Beta has started for PlayStation 4 owners!

From now PS4 gamers worldwide who obtained a Beta access code for the Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer beta will experience Treyarch’s new multiplayer gameplay first hand.  New maps, modes, specialists, weapon customisations and more, including gameplay progression and the all-new momentum-based, chained movement system will be available for play through Sunday, Aug. 23rd 2015, with other platforms to follow.

Players are encouraged to submit their Beta feedback, directly to the studio team, HERE.  As the Beta continues, the Treyarch blog will provide updates as events unfold.

“We have poured our heart and soul into making Black Ops III, pushing ourselves to develop the deepest and richest experience we could for Call of Duty players. We can’t wait for the fans to get their hands-on multiplayer so they can provide us with the type of feedback at scale to ensure we deliver the best experience we can come November,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch.  “With the new precision fluid movement system, the introduction of Specialists and an all-new weapon customisation system, there’s a ton of multiplayer content in the beta and that’s just scratching the surface.”

The Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta represents a fraction of the full version of the game.  Fans playing in the Beta can expect to play through three maps that will accommodate various play styles and enjoy high-octane combat that takes advantage of the new momentum-based, chained-movement system, advanced weaponry, new gear and much more.  At least seven game modes will be unveiled throughout the Beta, including fan favourites and quite possibly a few surprises along the way.

Plus, Beta participants will be able to play as two all-new Specialists in addition to the six previously revealed.  The Beta also includes weapon customisation featuring both Create-a-Class and Weapon Paint Shop functionality (Weapon Paint Shop not available on PC version of Beta) as well as gameplay progression covering weapons, scorestreaks and equipment (all progression will reset at the end of the Beta).

Activision has just released this killer trailer from the team behind the original Call of Duty: Zombies, Treyarch returns with an all-new, mind-bending tale of the undead.

Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, and Ron Perlman star in “Shadows of Evil,” an adventurously new survival co-op experience only available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Set in the 1940’s, four unwitting characters are brought together under mysterious circumstances.

Unravel the secrets and explore a massive world in the deepest Zombies experience to date and this new co-op will be launching along with Black Ops III on November the 6th, 2015.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III expands the possibilities of Call of Duty Multiplayer.

The new movement system allows players to fluidly chain movements together while playing in maps that have been designed from the ground-up to push strong head-to-head action. Choose to play as one of nine new Specialists, each with their own look, personality, abilities, and level progression system.

Finally, equip up to five attachments and an optic while customising nearly every aspect of your loadout with the new Gunsmith, then tap the power of the Weapon Paintshop to give your weapon a signature look.
