Super Yanoman Collection Brings Three ’90s Super Famicom Classics to PS5, Switch, PC
Japanese publisher Edia has confirmed that Super Yanoman Collection, a bundle of three Super Famicom-era titles originally released by toy and game company Yanoman, will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on December 10. Pre-orders opened the same day the collection was revealed, July 13, according to Edia’s official press release.
Edia has announced Super Yanoman Collection for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam), and it will launch on December 10 in Japan for 8,580 yen. A special edition will also be available for 16,280 yen, while the PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will be available both physically and digitally and the PlayStation 4 and PC versions will be digital-only. Edia’s own press release confirms the licensing deal was struck directly with Yanoman Corporation for the rights to bundle the three games together.
Fēda, Torinea and Song Master headline the SFC lineup
The collection gathers three genre-hopping titles Yanoman published in the early 1990s. According to Famitsu, the set fully includes “『フェーダThe Emblem of Justice』、『トリネア』、『ソングマスター』” — the tactical RPG Fēda: The Emblem of Justice (1994), the multi-protagonist action game Torinea (1993), and the vocal-themed RPG Song Master (1992).
Torinea carries particular cachet among Japanese collectors: its box art was illustrated by Ghost in the Shell creator Shirow Masamune, a credit Game*Spark highlights as one reason original Super Famicom copies of the game command premium secondhand prices in Japan today. Fēda, meanwhile, is a simulation RPG built around a rebellion against an occupying empire, while Song Master follows a young singer chasing the title of “Song Master” in a world where sacred hymns hold magical power.

Special edition adds a jigsaw puzzle, art booklet and soundtrack
The special edition will include an art booklet, a soundtrack CD, an acrylic stand, and a “Yanoman Jigsaw Puzzle” exclusive to this release, priced at 16,280 yen. Edia’s own product page lists the standard package, the download edition and the special edition at the same tiers, with the puzzle and CD framed as items that will not be sold separately once the current print run is gone.
Physical stock is limited to Switch and PS5, matching the pattern Edia used for its earlier Aretha Collection 1993-1995, a separate three-game Yanoman compilation the publisher shipped for PS5, PS4 and Switch in July. PC and PS4 buyers will only be able to get Super Yanoman Collection digitally.
First-print copies bundle a code for the rare Penta Dragon
Both the standard physical release and the special edition carry an added incentive for early buyers. First-print copies of both the standard physical and special editions will include a download code for the 1992-released shoot ’em up Penta Dragon. The Game Boy original is a notoriously scarce cartridge among Japanese retro collectors, and Game*Spark’s report frames its inclusion as a headline drawcard for the whole package alongside the three main Super Famicom games.
Penta Dragon follows a girl born of a human and a dragon on a journey to find her mother, fighting through trials and monsters along the way, per the description on Edia’s official product page for the collection. Bundling it as a first-print bonus rather than a standalone release means it disappears once initial retail stock sells through.
No word yet on a release outside Japan
As with Edia’s Aretha Collection before it, Super Yanoman Collection has only been confirmed for Japan so far, with pricing quoted in yen and no announcement of an English-language version or a Western storefront listing. That leaves Australian and New Zealand fans of Super Famicom-era RPGs and action games reliant on importing a Japanese PS5 or Switch copy, or picking up the Steam version and navigating any regional restrictions, if they want to play before a wider release, if one ever comes.
The December 10 date puts Super Yanoman Collection in the thick of the year-end release calendar, arriving as a niche but historically loaded pickup for genre fans chasing tactical RPGs, action titles and vocal-themed adventures that never made it past Japan the first time around.
