Suika Game Planet Launches on PS5, PC as Original Suika Game Also Lands Same Day

Aladdin X has released its fruit-merging sequel Suika Game Planet on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, priced at $2.99 / £2.49 / €2.99 / ¥241. In an unexpected bonus for newcomers, the developer simultaneously put the original Suika Game onto the same two platforms at an identical price point, according to Aladdin X’s own announcement reported by Gematsu.

Aladdin X has released puzzle game Suika Game Planet for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam for $2.99 / £2.49 / €2.99 / ¥241, with the game having first launched for Switch 2 and Switch on December 18, 2025 in Japan, followed by January 5, 2026 worldwide, and iOS and Android versions following on March 12, 2026. The Steam listing confirms the same July 26, 2026 release date and price point for the PC version.

Poppy Orbits a Circular Planet Stage in Suika Game Planet

Suika Game Planet swaps the original’s confined box for a spherical arena. According to the official description on the PlayStation Store, the sensation Suika Game moves its stage to outer space with the arrival of the all-new Suika Game Planet, tasking players with controlling Poppy as it orbits the planet and drops fruits, with identical fruits “evolving” when they collide as players keep merging them to reach the ultimate watermelon and chase a higher score.

The new circular layout changes how players aim their drops. The 360° Rotating Stage lets players rotate the stage freely, aim from any angle, and precisely drop fruits into the ideal spot, while a Super Evolution mechanic rewards chained merges with bonus points and escalating effects. Fruit that spills off the edge of the planet isn’t necessarily a lost cause either, as the Steam page notes players get a short window to recover strays before they’re gone for good.

Switch 2’s GameShare Co-Op Stays a Console Exclusive Feature

Suika Game Planet debuted first on Nintendo hardware, arriving in Japan on December 18, 2025 before a global Switch and Switch 2 launch on January 5, 2026, as confirmed by Nintendo Life at the time. The sequel became available to purchase on the US eShop for both Switch 1 and Switch 2, priced at $3.75 on Switch 2 and $2.99 on Switch 1.

That pricing split reflects a feature gap rather than just platform power. The Switch 2 edition alone supports local four-player GameShare co-op, letting friends drop into the same planet across multiple consoles, a feature Nintendo highlighted when the game was first unveiled during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct. Aladdin X has not indicated the new PS5 or PC versions carry any equivalent multi-console sharing feature, since GameShare is tied specifically to Nintendo’s hardware ecosystem.

Original Suika Game Finally Reaches PS5 and Steam Too

The bigger surprise for long-time fans may be that the 2021 original also made the jump to PlayStation and PC on the same day. Predecessor Suika Game was also released for PlayStation 5 and PC today. The base game had spent years as a Switch and mobile exclusive after exploding in popularity in Japan.

That original release has become one of gaming’s most unlikely hits. The Steam listing for the sequel notes that the fruits from the hit title Suika Game, with over 13 million downloads worldwide, take to the vast cosmos for a brand-new adventure. The franchise’s momentum was first built on Nintendo Switch, where the puzzle title became the platform’s most-downloaded eShop game in Japan across both 2023 and 2024.

A Cheap Entry Point for Aussie and Kiwi Puzzle Fans

For players in Australia and New Zealand, both games are now listed on Steam and the PlayStation Store at their respective regional storefronts, with local pricing converted from the confirmed US, UK and Euro tiers. At roughly the cost of a coffee, the pairing gives regional PS5 and PC owners who missed the Switch rollout an easy way to catch up on the series that turned a simple watermelon-stacking loop into a genuine social-media phenomenon.

Aladdin X has not detailed further platform plans beyond this PS5 and Steam rollout, and there is still no confirmation of an Xbox release or inclusion in subscription services such as PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass. For now, the studio’s focus appears to be consolidating its two Suika Game entries across as many storefronts as possible while the franchise’s popularity holds.
