Nintendo Download EU: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition Leads July 30 Lineup

Nintendo’s European eShop refreshed for the week of July 30, 2026, and the marquee arrival is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, the second instalment in Monolith Soft’s RPG trilogy to receive a hardware upgrade. It’s joined on the digital storefront by the four-game Blue Reflection Quartet bundle, the Norse-mythology survivor game Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, the hand-drawn metroidvania Constance, the Japanese horror shooter Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau, and an otome title built around The Prince of Tennis, alongside further Switch and Switch 2 releases tracked by outlets including Nintendo World Report and Gematsu.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s Switch 2 Edition Adds Merc Assault and MOMO
According to Nintendo’s own listing, on July 30, digital and physical versions of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country game receive a free update enabling 4K resolution/60 fps in TV mode and 1080p resolution/60 fps in handheld mode on the Nintendo Switch 2 system. The upgrade also introduces a new playable Blade, with MOMO having two modes, real and imaginary, that players can swap between to change her appearance and elemental affinity, alongside a dedicated quest.
Combat gets a companion mode too: players can directly command their Blades in the Merc Assault action battle mode, choosing up to six Blades to send out on Merc Missions where they move, fight, and swap freely between units. Nintendo Life additionally reported that the update brings 60fps gameplay, 4K resolution in TV mode, full HD in handheld mode, enhanced cutscene resolution and improved frame rate, plus new outfit designs for both Pyra and Mythra that carry over into cutscenes.
Existing Switch owners aren’t locked out: anyone who already owns Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Nintendo Switch can purchase the upgrade pack to play the Switch 2 Edition, with Torna – The Golden Country sold separately as part of the Expansion Pass. A physical release follows later, since the game releases digitally on July 30, 2026 and physically on October 1, 2026.
Blue Reflection Quartet Bundles the Entire Gust RPG Series Digitally
Also landing this week is Blue Reflection Quartet, an all-in-one collection from Koei Tecmo and developer Gust. Per the announcement, Koei Tecmo America and developer Gust officially announced the collection, which unites the entire Blue Reflection franchise, launching digitally on July 30, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
The package folds in remasters alongside a brand-new video game version of the anime spin-off, since the four-game bundle includes a newly made video game adaptation of Blue Reflection Ray, alongside remastered versions of Blue Reflection and Blue Reflection: Second Light, and a console remake of the mobile game Blue Reflection: Sun. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 owners also get a reference tool for the series’ timeline, as one of the standout additions on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 is a reference database that helps players understand the intricate timeline and relationships across the series.
Constance Gets a Free Switch 2 Patch, Jotunnslayer Joins the Console
German-developed metroidvania Constance also makes the jump this week. Its publishers confirmed that Blue Backpack and co-publishing partners ByteRockers’ Games and PARCO GAMES announced that their critically acclaimed 2D hand-drawn metroidvania will release on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 30th, and existing owners aren’t left behind: players who already own the game on Nintendo Switch will receive a free patch on July 30th that unlocks the Switch 2 version. The console edition brings tangible performance gains, with an improved performance mode running up to 120 FPS, an improved quality mode running at 1440p resolution, new and improved audio and integrated achievements.
Elsewhere, Norse-themed roguelike Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel arrives after a well-received PC run. Nintendo Everything reported that Grindstone is bringing the game to Nintendo Switch 2 after it originally released on PC last year to a positive reception, with the roguelike horde-survivor game having players take on waves of enemies to earn divine blessings of ancient Viking deities, confirming a launch digitally for July 30, 2026.
Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau and a Prince of Tennis Otome Round Out the Week
Japanese horror shooter Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau is another new face on Switch 2, having previously released on other platforms. Gematsu confirmed that the Switch 2 version will launch on July 30, publisher AMATA Games and developer Noto Muteki announced, after the game first launched for PC via Steam on October 4, 2024, followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on July 15, 2025. Nintendo’s own listing sets the scene: the protagonist is Mizuki Shiraishi, an exorcist from the Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau who visits Saiga Village in Nara to investigate a mystery in which all traces of the village have been wiped off the internet.
Nintendo World Report’s own weekly roundup pointed to another unlikely genre pairing landing alongside Xenoblade Chronicles 2, noting a pair of otome games based on the Prince of Tennis franchise and published by KONAMI, Blue Reflection Quartet, and one of the first Switch 2 games to get announced after launch in Constance as the notable arrivals of the week.
What It Means for Switch 2 Owners Down Under
The Australia and New Zealand Nintendo eShop typically mirrors the European release calendar for third-party digital titles, meaning local Switch 2 owners should see this week’s lineup land alongside their PAL counterparts. That includes early hands-on impressions already surfacing from the region, with RPG Site noting it had bought the Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack on the Australia eShop to play it earlier ahead of the global rollout.
For fans who sank hundreds of hours into the original Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on Switch, the free-to-cheap upgrade path via digital pack should make revisiting Alrest an easy sell, while newcomers get a genuinely refreshed entry point into one of Monolith Soft’s most ambitious RPGs just as the trilogy’s third instalment approaches its own December Switch 2 upgrade.
