VALORANT Champions 2026 Anthem “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” Is Out, Bundle Teased

Riot Games has released the VALORANT Champions 2026 anthem, “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight”, bringing Grabbitz together with Bring Me The Horizon vocalist Oli Sykes and Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante. The track and its official music video arrived on 16 September, eight days before Champions Shanghai begins on 24 September.
The collaboration also gives players more than a new tournament song. Its cinematic revisits VALORANT lore and past Champions moments, while appearing to offer an early look at the still-unrevealed Champions 2026 cosmetic collection, including a Phantom.
Grabbitz Returns for a Fourth VALORANT Champions Anthem
Grabbitz wrote and produced “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight”, making it his fourth VALORANT Champions collaboration. He previously worked on “Die For You” for Champions 2021, “Fire Again” in 2022 and “Ticking Away” with bbno$ in 2023.
The producer has described the new track as a meeting point between his electronic sound and the heavier styles associated with Bring Me The Horizon and Spiritbox. The finished song leans into melodic rock, industrial production and large guitar parts, with Sykes and LaPlante moving between clean vocals and heavier screams.
Sykes is working with Riot Games for the first time, although Bring Me The Horizon previously created “Ludens” for Death Stranding in 2019. LaPlante is returning to Riot after performing “Ties That Bind” for 2XKO. Spiritbox’s announcement also notes that this is the first released song Sykes and LaPlante have worked on together, despite LaPlante previously joining Bring Me The Horizon for live performances.
The Music Video Pulls From VALORANT Lore and Esports History
The official video puts Sage and Viper at the centre of its story, with Omen also appearing alongside Sage.

Both agents are shown carrying scars and fractured details filled with gold, giving parts of the cinematic a visual resemblance to kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken objects with gold.

Riot also uses the video to revisit competitive VALORANT. References include Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie and Paper Rex’s Champions 2023 loss, Maximilian “Demon1” Mazanov’s desk-standing celebration from the same tournament, and NRG’s Champions 2025 title.
Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang, Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto and Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov are also among the recognisable pro players shown in the cinematic, tying the anthem back to players who have already competed on VALORANT’s biggest international stage.
Champions 2026 Bundle Tease Points to a Phantom
The music video also appears to show the weapon at the centre of this year’s Champions collection. Sage is seen holding a Champions-styled Phantom, matching release-day reports that the 2026 bundle will feature the rifle instead of a Vandal.
VALORANT Studios head Anna Donlon also appeared to tease a fan-shaped melee around the collection. Riot has not yet published the bundle’s complete contents, price or sale dates, however, so the Phantom remains the clearest cosmetic shown publicly in connection with the anthem.
“If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” is available through Riot’s official listening page across major streaming platforms.
Champions Shanghai Starts on 24 September
