The MongolZ have moved Zolbayar “tikuak” Chimedtseren and Dugarsuren “DarkMeister” Ireedui to the bench, cutting short the pair’s two-month spell in the active Counter-Strike 2 lineup. The organisation confirmed on 15 September that both players would step away from the starting roster.

The changes leave Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren, Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch and Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold as The MongolZ’s three active players. No replacements were named, meaning the team currently has two places to fill before returning to a full five-player lineup.

A Two-Month Rebuild Ends After Rough Results

tikuak and DarkMeister joined the active lineup in July as part of The MongolZ’s latest rebuild, but neither player had much time to settle into the roster. The pair played nine matches for the team, with tikuak averaging a 0.91 rating and DarkMeister recording a 0.92 rating during their short tenures.

The roster changes follow a difficult stretch on the international circuit. The MongolZ finished 9th-16th at Esports World Cup 2026 before suffering a last-place exit at FISSURE Playground 3.

The lineup was already different at FISSURE Playground 3, where Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uuganbayar played instead of Techno. That left The MongolZ competing with bLitz, 910, tikuak, DarkMeister and cobrazera at the event before the latest two benchings were announced.

Erdenedalai “maaRaa” Bayanbat remains the team’s coach. With DarkMeister and tikuak joining cobrazera on the bench, The MongolZ now have as many benched players as they do active members of the playing roster.

The organisation has not named the players who will take the two open starting positions. The MongolZ’s next tournament is expected to be PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 in the second half of October, leaving the team a little over a month to settle on its next five-player lineup.
