The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline Is Out Now, a Divine Comedy Horror Trip

If you want something off the beaten path this month, The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline is out now. The first-person psychological thriller launched on 10 September for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at 19.99 US dollars, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version penciled in for later in 2026. It comes from Italian studio ONE O ONE GAMES, published by Entalto.

A family curse every 33 years

The setup leans hard on Dante. You play Gabriele Alighieri, a descendant forced to confront a family curse: every 33 years the barrier between Earth and Hell weakens, and it falls to him to complete an ancient ritual before the two worlds collide. It’s a reinterpretation of The Divine Comedy as a surreal, introspective horror story rather than a straight action romp.

Two realities: the mansion and the Dive

You move between two interconnected worlds, the haunting Alighieri mansion and a surreal realm called the Dive, solving esoteric puzzles and collecting lost pages of the Divine Comedy as you go. The pitch is psychological horror and emotional storytelling over combat, which puts it closer to a narrative adventure than a shooter.

Out now on PC, PS5 and Xbox

It’s available on Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG on PC, plus PS5 and Xbox Series, for 19.99 US dollars. The Switch 2 port is due later in 2026. At that price, for anyone who likes their horror literary and their puzzles cryptic, it’s an easy one to keep an eye on.
