Switch 2 eShop Sizes Revealed: Oblivion Remastered 61.5GB, Madden NFL 27 49.9GB, More

A fresh wave of Nintendo eShop listings has confirmed download sizes for several major Switch 2 releases landing this August, led by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered at 61.5GB and Madden NFL 27 at 49.9GB. The figures, spotted across North American, European and Japanese storefronts and first compiled by Nintendo Everything, also cover BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, the PS2-inspired platformer Duskfade, and a handful of smaller indie titles arriving on both Switch and Switch 2.
Oblivion Remastered’s 61.5GB Nearly Fills a Switch 2 Cartridge
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is the heavyweight of this round of listings. Eshop listings put the file at 61.5GB, a figure closely echoed by RPG Site, which reported that the Oblivion Remastered download size is listed at 61.4GB on Switch 2, and by Tech Times, which independently confirmed the Switch 2 version’s download size is listed at 61.4GB on the Nintendo eShop.
Bethesda Softworks and Virtuos have set the Switch 2 launch for August 11, with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered priced at $49.99 on Switch 2 with a $9.99 Deluxe upgrade available. The port runs with DLSS support on both handheld and docked mode at 900p 30fps on handheld and 1080p 30fps docked, and includes every previously released expansion. Notably, the physical Deluxe Edition ships as a full cartridge rather than the increasingly common Game-Key Card, meaning owners won’t need a day-one download just to boot the game from the box.
Madden NFL 27 Sits at Roughly 50GB Ahead of Aug. 13 Launch
EA’s Madden NFL 27 follows close behind, with the Nintendo Everything roundup logging the Switch 2 listing at 49.9GB. That number lines up with what Nintendo Life reported weeks earlier, noting the same listing estimates the file size on the hybrid platform to be around 50GB, a figure separately corroborated by Games.gg, which described the Nintendo eShop listing puts the estimated file size at around 50GB, which is on the heavier side for Switch 2.
Madden NFL 27 launches August 13 across platforms, and Nintendo Life has confirmed the release date and cover star directly: EA has now officially revealed EA Sports Madden NFL 27 and also confirmed it’s launching for the Switch 2 and other platforms on 13th August 2026, with cover athlete Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams. Unlike last year’s entry, this instalment adds a dedicated performance option, with reporting on the Madden NFL 27 wiki listing a Max Frame Rate of 60 FPS via Performance Pro on Switch 2, a notable jump given Madden NFL 26 was locked to 40fps on the console.
Duskfade and BlazBlue Entropy Effect X Round Out the Same Release Window
Two more games from the same eShop sweep share Madden’s August 13 launch date. Duskfade, the clockpunk-themed 3D action platformer from Weird Beluga Studio and publisher Fireshine Games, lists at a comparatively modest 5.9GB. Gematsu confirmed the platform expansion directly from the publisher, reporting that Duskfade will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam on August 13, with the Switch 2 version newly announced. Nintendo Life has described the game’s PS2-era influences, noting it carries shades of Kingdom Hearts and Jak & Daxter and that publisher Fireshine is billing it as a love letter to that generation of platformers.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, Nintendo Switch 2 Edition comes in at 16.6GB per the same eShop data. Nintendo Life’s own game page confirms the console edition is due for release on 13th Aug 2026, published by 91Act, a roguelite action game set within the long-running BlazBlue universe, with combat built around a rotating roster of franchise characters.
Smaller Switch and Switch 2 Listings Round Out the Roundup
Beyond the headline names, the same batch of listings covers several lighter titles. On Switch 2, Nintendo Everything’s roundup lists Skatesterre at 1.3GB, Old Coin Pusher Gaiden at roughly 1000MB, and CloverPit at just 227MB. Over on the original Switch, the same source notes Love, Internet, and Murder Magic at 2.1GB and Vengeance of Mr. Peppermint at 1.6GB: a reminder that not every eShop arrival demands a storage rethink, even as AAA ports continue to balloon.
Why the Numbers Matter for Switch 2’s 256GB Onboard Storage
Switch 2 ships with 256GB of internal storage, a substantial step up from the original hardware, and the console supports expansion exclusively via microSD Express cards. Even so, stacking Oblivion Remastered’s 61.5GB against Madden NFL 27’s 49.9GB alone would eat close to half that onboard capacity, underlining why third-party AAA ports remain the biggest strain on space compared with Nintendo’s traditionally leaner first-party output. For Australian and New Zealand players eyeing a busy mid-August with three sizeable eShop downloads landing within days of each other, it’s worth clearing space, or budgeting for a microSD Express card, well before launch day.
