Sniper Dan Brings Family-Friendly Hidden-Object Fun to PC and Consoles

Not every launch this week is a blockbuster, and that is fine. Sniper Dan is out now on PC and consoles, a family-friendly 3D hidden-object game from developer Denki and publisher PQube that is happy to just be funny and relaxing. It is the kind of palate cleanser a busy release slate needs.
What Sniper Dan actually is
Despite the name, this is not a shooter. Sniper Dan is a comedic hidden-object game rendered in 3D, where the job is to spot and find things in busy, characterful scenes rather than frag anyone. It is pitched squarely at a family and all-ages audience, leaning on humour and charm instead of difficulty spikes, which makes it an easy one to hand to a younger player or to unwind with after something heavier.
The 3D presentation is the twist on a genre that usually lives in flat storybook art. Being able to look around scenes gives Sniper Dan a bit more life than the static hidden-object games it is competing with.
Where and how much
Sniper Dan is available now on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. It costs £10.99 / €12.99 / $12.99, and on Steam it is 20% off at launch through September 30, so there is a small nudge to grab it early.
At that price, it is an easy impulse pick for anyone who wants something light, and a rare family-friendly option on a release calendar that skews toward the loud and the violent.
