PUBG Mobile’s Version 4.6 update launched with Midnight Hunters, a limited-time themed mode built around hunters, vampires and supernatural PvE encounters. The update is available until 10 November 2026 and adds new combat abilities, faction-flipping mechanics, seasonal events and a wider set of changes across several existing modes.

Midnight Hunters is the main attraction, but Version 4.6 is much broader than one Halloween-themed mode. Ocean Odyssey will return to Erangel, collaborations with Lincoln, One-Punch Man, B.Duck and Alan Walker are rolling out during the update, and new seasons are coming to Arena, Metro Royale and the main progression track.

Midnight Hunters Lets Eliminated Players Return as Vampires

Midnight Hunters turns familiar districts into vampire-infested combat zones built around Vampire Hunter Guild locations. Players can fight Bloodwalkers, the sonic-attacking Nightbat and the stronger Vampire Elder, while elite enemies add protective shields and special finisher animations. The Nightkeeper, an AI character tied to the mode’s story, can also appear at Guild locations, where players can learn more about him, collect supplies and challenge him for rewards.

The mode gives squads several new tools for both combat and movement. Twilight Bat Wings transform a player into an energy bat with hover, dash, latch and sonar abilities, while the Silvermoon Chain can attack enemies, help with traversal or block incoming damage. Blood Crystal Barriers can seal windows, and new healing options include the Blood Pact, Hunter Bandage and Scarlet Tonic.

Midnight Hunters also scatters optional challenges around the map. The Golden Bat challenge starts with a stone statue that reveals a fleeing target, Scream Crates use puzzle mechanics that can expose a player’s position after failure, and Guild Missions include defending the Nightkeeper’s seals, hunting evolving enemies and eliminating vampires.

The biggest change to a normal elimination comes through Bloodline Awakening. On Fridays through Sundays in September, after the season update, eliminated players can return as vampires and attack the surviving hunters. Vampire abilities include a melee Claw Attack, health-restoring Absorb, Blood Sense for detecting nearby hunters and Blood Amberfication, which briefly grants high-speed movement and damage immunity.

Version 4.6 Has a Packed September and October Roadmap

Several parts of Version 4.6 arrive after the initial 8 September launch, so the update’s content is spread across the next two months rather than appearing all at once.

Ocean Odyssey returns exclusively on Erangel, while the map will also tease a mysterious giant serpent breaking through the ground. Players can break weakened parts of its stone shell to find scales and supplies, with the creature pointing towards another development that has not yet been detailed.

The collaboration schedule adds Lincoln vehicles, One-Punch Man events and themed Home content, followed by B.Duck items and furniture. Alan Walker also returns with “FATE”, the Version 4.6 theme song, which is available in-game for free through 10 November.

Classic, Arena and World of Wonder Get Their Own Changes

Classic Mode adds new Erangel missions built around recovering leftover combat supplies and hacking Supply Shops for Shop Tokens. The Supply Shop itself has a refreshed layout, improved filtering and a larger item selection, while firing stability has been increased for the ACE32 and several 7.62mm weapons, including the AKM, M762, Honey Badger, Mk47 and Groza.

Other Erangel additions include Channel Buoys that offer temporary safety around Military Base, floating supply crates and interactive lockers inside buildings. The new Inflatable Boat carries four players and moves faster when more passengers row. Custom Garages can also spawn a Tracked Amphicarrier that is activated with Shop Tokens, and parachuting now supports an auto-glide state by pushing the joystick upwards.

Arena’s ranked season covers Team Deathmatch on Warehouse and Hangar, Assault on The Ruins, and Domination on Town. Tiered rewards are available during the season, with a limited title reserved for the top 1,000 players in each region when it ends.

World of Wonder is leaning further into the Halloween theme through Halloweeks content for Brainrot gameplay. New collectible Brainrot characters, themed scenery and event currency are joined by the returning Magic Broom and a Brainrot Wand that transforms players into a Halloweeks-themed character.

The limited-time Ghost Ship event adds a flying Halloweeks Shop and ghost cannonballs that can evolve Brainrot mutants on a conveyor belt. Creators also get a Jetpack Device and editor improvements, while a temporary Creation Shop incentive raises the WOW Token revenue share from 55% to as much as 83% through tiered rates.

Season 32, Home Mode and Metro Royale Continue the Vampire Theme

Home Mode adds the Cyber Nexus Home Style and brings back the Home Competition, while a Style Voting event gives eligible players a chance to enter a cash prize draw by completing voting missions. Feast of Shadows then turns Home Mode into a hide-and-seek event, with seekers hunting spectres for search points while spectres hide and scare hunters for fright points. Those points can be exchanged for rewards.

Season 32 refreshes tier and Path of Glory rewards, upgrades the Promotion Match experience and brings back Ultimate Royale. A new Casual Match season spans Unranked Classic, Arena, World of Wonder, Home and Arcade, while Crazy Chicken Day adds Ranked team-up perks, double earnings and weekly prize draws.

Metro Royale Chapter 34 adds mutated vampire bases to Arctic Base, where high-value Scream Crates are guarded by enemies. Golden Bat Statues also appear at specific locations and can trigger timed fights for a chance at high-value items.

Version 4.6 also introduces Royale Pass A21 with a custom colour outfit, an upgradable weapon and additional sets and rewards. System-level additions include new Card Collection features, progress towards an upgradable JS9 firearm finish, multilingual Personalized Voices and the return of the Popularity Battle Event. Flash Crew gains new team-up tools, Crew Descriptors and improved filtering for finding teammates.
