Sixteen amateur and semi-professional squads open the 2026 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) Western Europe Finals on Friday 18 September, and only two of them will leave with a place in the PMGO Season 2 Main Event. That Main Event carries a $500,000 prize pool and takes place in Pakistan in October.

The Western Europe Finals run for three days, from 18 to 20 September, with 18 matches spread evenly across the weekend, which works out to six matches a day. The tournament comes out of the partnership between G2 and PUBG Mobile Esports, and G2’s media house, 62, is organising it.

With the qualifiers now finished, the field is set. Nasty Bullets come in as the top qualifier, while the list closes with AWA Esports EU in 16th. Fnatic SP are among the sides that made it through, sitting 15th in qualifying order.

Qualifying order is where each team finished in the qualifiers. It isn’t a prediction of the final standings, and every team starts the three days of matches with the same two slots to aim for.

Where to Watch the PMGO Western Europe Finals

Three creators are co-streaming the Finals, each in a different language. JanickaGaming, the first creator to join the G2 x PUBG Mobile Esports ambassador programme, is covering the event in English. Asleyia is streaming it in German, and LaauraBrawlStars is handling the Italian coverage.

G2 chief executive Alban Dechelotte framed the event as a way of “giving emerging teams in the region a chance to prove themselves” on an international stage. Shaowei Chen, Head of Western Europe Publishing at PUBG Mobile, said the tournament could turn up “rising stars in the making” who go on to the Main Event and beyond.

What the Top Two Teams Qualify For

The two slots on offer are the whole point of the weekend. Two of 16 teams advancing means 14 squads will finish the Finals without a Main Event place, so a qualifying run through Western Europe is a narrow path for sides whose regular competition sits below the professional tier.

The PMGO S2 Main Event brings together 32 qualified teams from around the world across several weeks, with the Western Europe pair making up two of those 32 spots. The winner takes the Champion title, the PMGO S2 trophy, and the largest share of the $500,000 prize pool, though PUBG Mobile Esports hasn’t published how that pool will be split.
