Persona 5: The Phantom X Adds P3P Heroine Kotone Shiomi on 24 September

Persona 3 Portable’s female protagonist Kotone Shiomi is joining Persona 5: The Phantom X on 24 September 2026 as part of a new P3P crossover event. Atlus revealed Kotone’s arrival alongside a new animated trailer, giving players an early look at her appearance in P5X before the event begins.

More information is still to come before launch. Atlus has scheduled a Persona X-stream broadcast for 21 September, where it plans to reveal further details about Kotone and the Persona 3 Portable collaboration.

Kotone Shiomi Gets a New P5X Appearance

Kotone is being brought into Persona 5: The Phantom X with a new 3D model based on her Persona 3 Portable appearance. The crossover will also add new arrangements of music from P3P.

The promotional trailer also shows Kotone alongside the P5X cast and includes glimpses of her in combat. Full details about her abilities and how she will be available to players have not yet been outlined, making the 21 September broadcast the next important update for anyone planning to pull for her.

Persona 3 Characters Are Returning Before Kotone Arrives

The P3P collaboration is not the only Persona 3 content arriving this month. From 15 September, Makoto Yuki, Yukari Takeba, and Akihiko Sanada from Persona 3 Reload are returning through the Most Wanted Phantom Idol Contracts Comeback.

Their previous event stories are also becoming playable again, giving players who missed the earlier Persona 3 crossover another chance to see that content before Kotone arrives nine days later.

That creates a fairly packed Persona 3 schedule for P5X in September: Makoto, Yukari, and Akihiko return on 15 September, Atlus will provide more Kotone details during Persona X-stream on 21 September, and the Persona 3 Portable event begins with Kotone’s debut on 24 September.

More Kotone Details Are Coming on 21 September

The next confirmed stop is the Persona X-stream broadcast on 21 September. Atlus has not yet detailed Kotone’s full kit or the complete structure of the crossover event, so the broadcast should fill in the remaining gaps three days before the update goes live.
