Counter-Strike streamer ohnePixel is hosting a $50,000 VALORANT tournament on 18 September using Riot Games’ new Gauntlet: Glitched mode, giving participating streamers and pro players a chance to play it before the mode becomes publicly available.

In a post on 15 September, ohnePixel said the tournament would take place on Friday and put out a call for “a few more streamers or pros” to join. He did not reveal the full participant list, bracket, start time, prize distribution, or broadcast details alongside the initial announcement.

The $50K Tournament Takes Place Before Gauntlet: Glitched Launches

The timing makes this more than a regular creator tournament. Gauntlet: Glitched is scheduled to arrive with VALORANT Patch 13.06 on 22 September, meaning ohnePixel’s event is set to take place four days before players can normally access the mode.

Riot revealed Gauntlet: Glitched on 14 September as a 16-player mode featuring eight teams. Instead of locking one of VALORANT’s usual Agents, each player controls a hybrid Robo-Agent and builds a kit by drafting abilities from a randomised pool.

Riot explains that the eight duos compete in a tournament-style round robin until one team remains. Players can upgrade abilities throughout the match, while unexpected glitches can alter familiar abilities and create combinations that are impossible in standard VALORANT.

Gauntlet: Glitched Should Make for a Very Different VALORANT Tournament

That format gives ohnePixel’s event a different setup from simply putting creators into a normal custom lobby. Participants will still need VALORANT’s usual shooting fundamentals, but they will also have to build around random ability choices and work out combinations with their teammate as the tournament progresses.

Riot has called Gauntlet: Glitched the most ambitious game mode it has made for VALORANT so far, introducing the reveal with the simple description: “16 players, 8 teams, pure chaos.”

The early-access event will also give viewers a look at how experienced players approach the mode before a wider player meta has had time to form. Whether the strongest strategies favour conventional VALORANT fundamentals or some particularly broken ability combinations should become clearer once competitors actually start playing.

ohnePixel Has Already Played in a VALORANT Creator Tournament

Although ohnePixel is best known for Counter-Strike, this is not his first appearance around a VALORANT creator event. In April 2026, he was invited to a tournament hosted by Jynxzi and played alongside Sapnap, Zoil, Ricci and Royal Penguin, according to a video published on ohnePixel’s verified channel.

This time, ohnePixel is moving from participant to organiser. His $50,000 Gauntlet: Glitched tournament is set for 18 September, while Riot’s new mode will become available to the wider VALORANT player base with Patch 13.06 on 22 September.
