NBA 2K27 Launches With Josh Giddey Leading the Aussie Ratings

NBA 2K27 is live. It’s out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch 2, and the first ratings are already stirring things up.

2K unveiled the top five Aussies in the game, and Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey leads the pack at 84 Overall. That’s a two-point bump from his NBA 2K26 starting rating, and it’s earned. Giddey averaged 17.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 9.1 assists across the 25-26 season, so the numbers back the rating.

Behind him sits defensive menace Dyson Daniels at 81 Overall. Daniels shares the game’s highest Steal rating at 98 with Matisse Thybulle, and lands a 94 Perimeter Defence, putting him among the best lockdown guards in the game.

Here’s the top five Aussies:

  • Josh Giddey (Chicago Bulls) – 84 OVR
  • Dyson Daniels (Atlanta Hawks) – 81 OVR
  • Jock Landale (Atlanta Hawks) – 75 OVR
  • Matisse Thybulle (Los Angeles Lakers) – 74 OVR
  • Josh Green (Utah Jazz) – 73 OVR

NBL next-star Karim Lopez picked up a 70 for his first-ever 2K rating, and Kiwi big man Steven Adams sits at 74. Ratings always spark arguments, and that’s half the fun. Someone’s always underrated, someone’s always robbed.

The game’s out now on everything, Switch 2 included, so you can go settle those arguments on the court yourself.
