Muchi Muchi Pork! & PinkSweets Boosted Is Out Now on PS5 and Switch

Bullets are turning into bacon on PS5 and Switch. Clear River Games and City Connection released Muchi Muchi Pork! & PinkSweets Boosted, a double pack of two CAVE vertical shooters, as a digital download on both consoles on October 1.

Digital copies cost $39.99 or €34.99. If you’d rather have it on the shelf, a physical edition for PS5 and Switch follows on October 29 at $54.99 or €49.99.

CAVE is the studio behind some of the most loved bullet-hell games ever made, so any time its arcade catalogue gets a fresh console release, shmup fans pay attention. These two are a bit deeper in the back catalogue than the big names, which makes this bundle more interesting, not less.

Muchi Muchi Pork! Fights Pig Invaders With Pedal Power

Muchi Muchi Pork! is the sillier of the pair, and that’s saying something for a CAVE game. General Pork Fillet arrives from planet Iberiko and starts turning the people of Butaduka City into pig hybrids. Momo, Ikuo and Rafute jump into their pedal-powered Ketta Machines to stop him across five stages of bullet hell.

The scoring is where it gets its hooks in. There’s a high-risk Medal Chaining System for score chasers. You fill a meter by collecting parachuting pigs to unleash the Lard Attack. And when things get ugly, bombs clear the screen and turn incoming enemy bullets into collectible bacon. Yes, really.

PinkSweets Boosted Ramps Up as You Get Better

PinkSweets is the 2006 sequel to Ibara, and it has a reputation for being brutal. The headline mechanic is dynamic rank. The game watches how well you play and scales the difficulty to match, so the better you get, the harder it pushes back. Players have to balance shooting with tactical restraint if they don’t want the screen to bury them.

You pick from four ships, each with two firing styles, and battle through seven stages. Holding fire deploys the Rose Cracker Shield, and you can position orbiting Rosehips to soak up incoming bullets. It’s a defensive layer that gives the game a very different rhythm to Muchi Muchi Pork!.

Two CAVE Shooters Make a Strong Pairing

Putting these two side by side is a nice bit of curation. Muchi Muchi Pork! is colourful and goofy, with a scoring system that rewards greed. PinkSweets is colder and meaner, and it punishes you for playing too well. One is a warm-up, the other is a test.

Clear River Games is a Karlstad, Sweden-based publisher focused on classic and retro games, part of the Freemode Group under Embracer. City Connection, which owns the old Jaleco IP, handled development and has built a name for bringing older arcade games to modern hardware.

Muchi Muchi Pork! & PinkSweets Boosted Price and Release Details

Here’s the short version. Muchi Muchi Pork! & PinkSweets Boosted is out now digitally on PS5 and Nintendo Switch for $39.99 or €34.99. The physical edition for both platforms launches October 29, 2026 at $54.99 or €49.99.

For me, PinkSweets is the reason to buy this. It’s a famously tough CAVE shooter, and dynamic rank games are the kind you keep coming back to. Muchi Muchi Pork! is the dessert. Or the bacon, I guess.

If you’re a shmup fan who’s been working through the arcade rereleases of the last few years, this one belongs in the queue. Stick with ShaneTheGamer for more retro and arcade news.
