MIBR Signs Tomaszin as New Fifth Ahead of IEM Beijing 2026 Qualifier
MIBR have signed 22-year-old Argentine rifler Tomas “tomaszin” Corna from BESTIA, filling the starting spot opened when Breno “brnz4n” Poletto was moved to the bench earlier this week. The organisation announced tomaszin on 28 August and confirmed that his first event in the new lineup will be the IEM Beijing 2026 Closed Qualifier.

That debut is only days away. The qualifier begins on 2 September, giving MIBR a short turnaround before the first official matches with tomaszin alongside Felipe “insani” Yuji, Carlos “venomzera” Eduardo, Linus “LNZ” Holtäng and Lucas “nqz” Soares.
Tomaszin Replaces Brnz4n in MIBR’s Starting Five
Brnz4n was moved to MIBR’s bench on 25 August while remaining under contract and available to hear offers. The Brazilian had been tied to the organisation since joining its academy setup in August 2021, before earning promotion to the main roster in 2022. His run included three Major appearances and the ESL Challenger Melbourne 2025 title.
Tomaszin’s arrival is MIBR’s second starting-lineup change of the second half of 2026. Nqz joined in June after Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev’s loan ended, while tomaszin now completes the five following brnz4n’s removal.

Tomaszin Brings Three Years of BESTIA Firepower
Tomaszin had represented BESTIA since May 2023 and developed into one of the Argentine organisation’s most productive riflers. Across his CS2 spell with BESTIA, his current career statistics show a 1.16 rating over 698 maps, alongside 81.8 average damage and 0.74 kills per round.
His time with BESTIA also produced 11 tournament wins, including LAN titles at DraculaN Season 4 in Europe and the Argentina Game Show Cup in Buenos Aires. He was part of the team’s qualification run for the BLAST.tv Austin Major in 2025, while his 2026 campaign stood at a 1.17 rating across 15 events before the move to MIBR.
One of tomaszin’s strongest international performances came earlier in his BESTIA tenure at the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR. He averaged a 1.42 rating across nine maps there, although BESTIA finished the event with a 2-3 record and missed the Major. That level of individual output explains the firepower MIBR are adding rather than simply making a like-for-like roster change.
MIBR’s IEM Beijing Opponent Is Not Confirmed Yet
The IEM Beijing 2026 Closed Qualifier runs online from 2 to 4 September with 16 teams. The tournament uses a double-elimination bracket with best-of-three series throughout, and the top two finishers earn places at the IEM Beijing main event.
MIBR enter a field that also includes B8, GamerLegion, paiN, BIG, 3DMAX, HOTU and HEROIC among the invited teams, alongside sides that advanced through the open qualifier. The event schedule currently contains eight Upper Bracket Round of 16 matches on 2 September, but the team pairings have not yet been populated.
That means MIBR’s first opponent and exact opening match time cannot yet be stated reliably. The confirmed part of the schedule is that tomaszin is due to make his MIBR debut during the qualifier from 2 September, rather than at one of the LAN events later in the month.
Tomaszin Faced MIBR Just Weeks Before Joining Them
The new teammates were recently on opposite sides of an important qualifier. MIBR defeated BESTIA 2-0 on 3 August in the final of the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 South America Closed Qualifier, with tomaszin playing for BESTIA as MIBR took first place.
Less than four weeks later, tomaszin has joined the team that beat him. The result also has a second consequence later in September: MIBR qualified for StarSeries Fall through that victory and will now attend the tournament with tomaszin in their own starting five.
MIBR Have Two More September Events After IEM Beijing Qualifier
The IEM Beijing qualifier starts a busy first month for the new lineup. MIBR are also confirmed for FISSURE Playground 3 in Suzhou, China, from 8 to 13 September, a 16-team LAN carrying a $1 million prize pool.
StarLadder StarSeries Fall follows from 17 to 20 September. That leaves tomaszin with the IEM Beijing Closed Qualifier as his immediate debut on 2 September before MIBR move into two more scheduled events during his first three weeks with the organisation.
