FUT Esports Extend Contracts With dem0n, coolio and dziugss

FUT Esports have extended the contracts of Dmytro “dem0n” Myroshnychenko, Džiugas “dziugss” Steponavičius and coach András “coolio” Fercsák following the Counter-Strike 2 team’s run to second place at the Esports World Cup 2026. The Turkish organisation announced the three renewals on 26 August.

The extensions arrive with FUT sitting at No. 3 in the VRS after rapidly establishing themselves in tier-one competition. The organisation did not disclose how long any of the three new deals will run.

FUT Keep Three Key Members After EWC Run

dem0n, dziugss and coolio arrived at FUT as part of the group brought over from NAVI Junior, alongside Aulon “Krabeni” Fazlija and Nikita “cmtry” Samolotov. Since that move, FUT have climbed into the upper end of the competitive CS2 field, culminating in their runner-up finish at the Esports World Cup 2026.

That result was the biggest of FUT’s rise so far and helped push the team to third place in the VRS. Renewing two players and their coach immediately afterwards keeps three pieces of the project under new deals rather than forcing FUT into another rebuild after their breakthrough tournament.

Krabeni and cmtry Remain Under Contract

The announcement itself named only dem0n, coolio and dziugss for extensions, initially leaving the status of Krabeni and cmtry less clear. Both had joined FUT from NAVI alongside the newly renewed members.

FUT later addressed the pair’s situation separately, saying their existing contracts remain in effect and that neither is leaving the team. That distinction means Krabeni and cmtry have not been announced as receiving new extensions, but both remain part of FUT under their current deals as of 27 August.

FUT Players Had Already Drawn Interest From Other Teams

FUT’s rapid climb had already put members of the roster and coolio on the radar of other organisations. Krabeni discussed that interest in January, saying several members had received offers but ultimately chose to remain together.

“We all knew what we are capable of together. Everyone just declined everything,” Aulon “Krabeni” Fazlija said when discussing the approaches.

That decision preceded FUT’s eventual run to the EWC final and rise to third in the VRS, giving the roster a concrete result behind its earlier choice to turn down outside interest.

dziugss Reportedly Turned Down NAVI This Summer

Among the approaches, dziugss was reportedly the subject of interest from NAVI. James “BanKs” Banks said the Lithuanian player was rumoured to have declined an offer from NAVI during the summer, shortly before FUT secured his new contract.

The reported NAVI approach has not been presented as an official transfer announcement, but it adds context to FUT’s decision to secure dziugss after the team’s rise. Rather than losing one of the players attracting outside interest after the EWC run, FUT now have dziugss, dem0n and coolio tied to renewed deals.

FUT have announced no further roster changes, while Krabeni and cmtry remain with the team under their existing contracts.
