Farever’s Call to Glory Update Adds Heroic Mode and an Endgame Overhaul on September 30

Farever is getting its second big update, and it’s aimed squarely at the people who’ve already hit the ceiling. Shiro Games’ online co-op action RPG rolls out the free Call to Glory update on 30 September, built around endgame content, tougher fights and a pile of social and quality-of-life changes.

Heroic Mode raises the endgame ceiling

The centrepiece is Heroic Mode, a new instance difficulty that drops tougher enemies into existing dungeons and hands bosses altered combat mechanics rather than just bigger health bars. Clearing it pays out better loot, dedicated achievements for completionists, and Medals of Glory, a new currency you spend on exclusive rewards.

Epic-tier gear and gear infusions

On the loot side, the update introduces Epic-tier gear and lets you infuse equipment with faction-themed bonuses, which the studio is pitching as a way to widen build variety and combat options for players deep into their characters. It’s the kind of vertical progression an ARPG needs once the base campaign is behind you.

Friend lists, boss revives and a Rogue rework

The social and quality-of-life list is long. You get proper Friend and Ignore lists and extra chat channels, a player-inspection option, new emotes, a compass and a group HUD, and the ability to revive allies mid boss fight. The Rogue talent tree has been reworked, alongside the usual sweep of balance and bug fixes. “Farever’s next content update is focused on enhancing the endgame experience and bolstering social interactions,” said game director Quentin Lapeyre.
