Delta Force Second Anniversary Brings Detonation Beta and Siege: Valkyrie Map

Delta Force’s second anniversary has brought Detonation, a bomb-defusal mode now in global beta, and a 2027 roadmap headed by Siege: Valkyrie, a new Operations map built with Unreal Engine 5 features. Game Director Shadow laid out the plans during an anniversary broadcast on 26 September, covering new content for both of the free-to-play shooter’s main modes: Operations, its extraction mode, and Warfare, its large-scale battle mode.
The Detonation beta opened on 27 September (UTC) for PC and mobile players, with console access due later in 2026. Delta Force itself is free on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, iOS, and Android. Anniversary daily tasks have also been running since 26 September, offering up to 3,900 limited-time Delta Tickets and the Golden State Legendary appearance for the AUG.
Detonation Beta Brings Bomb Defusal to PC and Mobile
Detonation follows the plant-and-defuse structure Counter-Strike players will recognise. Attackers have to break through the enemy’s defences and plant the bomb, while defenders try to hold their positions, stop the plant, or defuse the bomb once it is down.
Team Jade are running the beta as a feedback period, and player responses will shape the mode before its full release. No date has been given for that full launch, and console players only have a “later this year” window for their first access.
What’s Live in Season Reorientation
Season Reorientation, the first part of the anniversary celebrations, went live earlier in September with a new pair of Operators and new weapons. It follows Season Meltdown in June, which added the Coliseum map, more weapons, and a transport helicopter.
Operations Quality-of-Life Changes
- Cross-region matchmaking for Operations.
- One-Click Loadout, which cuts the time spent preparing gear before a match.
- A rebuilt tutorial for first-time players.
- A revamped G.T.I. Field Manual that collects in-game information in one place and lets existing players introduce friends to the game.
- The Combat Support Fund, an in-game loan system that helps cover the cost of valuable items when building a loadout.
Team Jade haven’t explained how the Combat Support Fund’s loans are repaid. That detail is likely to decide how useful the system is in practice, since Operations is an extraction mode where a failed run can cost you the gear you brought in.
Layali Grove 2.0 and Polaris Patrol
Layali Grove 2.0 expands the Operations map with larger river areas, jet ski gameplay, and fishing. Fishing has its own progression system and map-specific catches, which you can display in the aquarium in your Collection Room.
Polaris Patrol brings back the play-as-a-boss experience, putting you in control of Security Director Desmoulins, who is backed by the Polaris Squad and linked to the Requin armed vehicle. Team Jade reworked the encounter to give both sides a fairer fight, added richer rewards, and included the game’s first craftable collectible.
The Mog Adds Convoy Escort to Warfare
The Mog is a new Warfare map built around a convoy escort inspired by Black Hawk Down. Its story follows a defecting Skynet engineer caught between the G.T.I. and Haavk factions: G.T.I. must escort the convoy through a series of checkpoints while Haavk tries to stop it. Black Hawk helicopters join the fight, and players can deploy straight onto them to operate their weapons or handle repairs to keep them in the air. The Mog is also the first Warfare map to support Unreal Engine 5 features.

Siege: Valkyrie and the Unreal Engine 5 Roadmap
Siege: Valkyrie arrives in early 2027 as a new Operations map set in a city under siege. A giant city wall splits it into two areas, each with its own rules, risks, and rewards. The inner city is wealthy and full of high-rise buildings but dangerous, while the outer city is a ruined district where survival and resources are harder to come by. Each run comes down to one choice: extract safely with what you have found, or push deeper into the city for a significantly larger payout and risk losing everything.

Siege: Valkyrie will also be the first Delta Force map to put players from different difficulty tiers into the same match. Warfare gets its next Unreal Engine 5 map in November, with more maps and gameplay modes planned throughout 2027.
Outside the modes, the first volume of Operator Archives, a story series on the backgrounds of Delta Force’s Operators, was released through the game’s official channels on 26 September. Operator Quarters follows in early 2027 as a dedicated space where players can customise, relax, and socialise with friends.
Delta Force Roadmap Dates at a Glance

Only two pieces of new content still to come carry a 2026 timeframe: the November Warfare map and Detonation’s console release. The biggest items on the roadmap, Siege: Valkyrie and Operator Quarters, share a broad early 2027 window with no specific date, so the anniversary’s headline map is still at least a few months away.
RISE Series Season 2 and the Delta Force Invitational
RISE Series Season 1 wrapped up in August, with Dark Entities winning the EMEA title and Evil Geniuses taking the US title. An expanded Season 2 is now underway, bringing together teams from EMEA and the Americas, and the top 12 teams will advance to the inaugural Delta Force Invitational at DreamHack Stockholm.
The invitational runs from 27 to 29 November, and it will be the first major offline Delta Force event held outside Asia.
