Monster Hunter Wilds Hits Switch 2 in December, Plus Mega Man and Resident Evil News

Capcom brought the goods to today’s Nintendo Showcase, and the headline is a big one: Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on 4 December.

This isn’t a stripped-back port either. The Switch 2 version packs all the Title Update content, including the Grand Hub, returning fan-favourite monsters like Lagiacrus, and the Final Fantasy XIV Online crossover. So Switch 2 hunters get the full, caught-up version, not last year’s build.

The core is intact. You’re back in the Forbidden Lands chasing the mysterious White Wraith, swinging all 14 weapon types at monsters the size of buildings and crafting your way to better gear. Hunt solo, link up locally over wireless, or go online with full cross-play. Standard and Gold Editions both land on the eShop.

Monster Hunter wasn’t the only reveal. Mega Man: Dual Override is adding Proto Man alongside the Blue Bomber, which is exactly the kind of team-up fans have been asking for. And the Resident Evil remakes are making the jump too: RE2, RE3 and RE4 are all heading to Switch 2.

That’s a stacked showing from Capcom. Switch 2 owners just got three of the publisher’s biggest series on the way, and Monster Hunter Wilds leads the charge on 4 December.
