BBL Esports CS2 Roster Revealed With Former Echo Lineup

BBL Esports have entered Counter-Strike 2 for the first time, signing the five-player Danish squad previously competing under the Echo banner. The Turkish organisation announced its move into CS2 on 30 August 2026, naming IceBerg, NickyB, Boye, leakz and salazar as its inaugural lineup.

Rather than assembling a new roster player by player, BBL have taken over an established five that had already been competing together. The former Echo squad also arrives with a top-50 position in the Valve Regional Standings, giving BBL an existing competitive foothold immediately after entering the game.

BBL Esports Signs the Former Echo Five

BBL’s first Counter-Strike roster is entirely Danish. The five had most recently played without an organisation as Echo, while the same lineup previously competed together under Tricked.

The organisation introduced the team with the line “From North to South,” pairing BBL’s Turkish identity with a roster built around a Danish core for its first move into Counter-Strike.

BBL Inherits Echo’s Valve Regional Standing

The signing also brings Echo’s existing Valve Regional Standings position across to BBL. Contemporary rankings placed the squad inside the global top 50, although reports around the announcement differed slightly between 47th and 48th place.

Keeping the full five together means BBL are entering CS2 with an already established competitive core rather than launching an unranked project. The players had also remained active across online tournaments before making the switch from Echo to BBL.

Salazar Brings Major Experience to BBL

Jason “salazar” Salazar arrives with Major-level experience from his time with ECSTATIC. The Danish player reached the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 with the organisation and has also represented Gaimin Gladiators.

Salazar previously appeared as a stand-in for HEROIC at one event in 2023. That background gives BBL’s new lineup a player who has already competed at Counter-Strike’s Major level alongside the experience the five have built together as a unit.

BBL Expands Beyond Its Valorant Programme

BBL Esports are best known for their Valorant division, which has competed domestically and internationally under the Turkish organisation. Counter-Strike now joins a broader esports history that has also included rosters in League of Legends and PUBG.

The CS2 move is therefore BBL’s first step into Counter-Strike rather than its first expansion beyond Valorant, with the organisation choosing an established Scandinavian lineup for its debut in the Valve ecosystem.

NODWIN Clutch Series #11 Is BBL’s First CS2 Event

The new roster’s first tournament under the BBL banner is set to be NODWIN Clutch Series #11. The five had already been competing together in online events as Echo, and the event will give IceBerg, NickyB, Boye, leakz and salazar their first competitive matches representing BBL Esports.
